I'm doing a road trip from Maine down to Florida then across to Texas.
Any suggestions on good spots to stop and get some good shots?

Take pictures inside the ERs when you get shot in Bridgeport, Newark and/or Baltimore.
Really though, go to Walter's Hotdogs stand in Mamaroneck. It's probably the thing I miss most about the tri-state area.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter%27s_Hot_Dog_Stand
>Florida
Required visiting:
>Kennedy Space Center, make a day of it
>Key West, you're a faggot if you come all the way down from Maine and don't go to Key West, Set aside a day for the Keys, be off the mainland by 9am.
>St. Augustine, nations oldest city, do the Spanish Forts, there's two of them
>South Beach if you like to party
>North Florida has springs everywhere, stop by Ginnie or Ichetucknee Springs on your way to TX
>Florida Caves, yes we have them, near Tallahassee in the north part of the state off I-10

I agree that the Space Center is a must see. It is a bit pricey to get in, but staring at the shuttle from 2 feet away is worth it.
Just North of Miami there is a medieval Spanish Monastery that Hurst bought, disassembled, and it was shipped here and reassembled. That is worth some photos as well.

there's a dedicated flickr thread nigga.
if you're gonna start a new thread here, you better start posting some of your photos for comments&critiques or use that thread in the future

Sure man, I absolutely will. Just use the flickr thread next time. Sage.
I have a lumix lx5 How do I make my pictures appear more like film in camera? I like the grain of black and white.
either in post processing or shoot take the sensor out of your camera and insert film, ya dummy.
>>3112118
get an old as shit shitty lens, like a 35mm 2.0 or a 28mm 2.8, make sure it has chromatic abberations and soft corners.
use all the artsy filters in photoshop
When you post them, make sure to wax on about how great the colours are and that digital could never compete and how much thought you put into your snapshits.
In camera: Shoot at high iso and bump up the contrast to get the Tri X look
Off camera: PP your photos in PS
But at the end of the day, nothing beats the real film look and grain desu.
That's not how you attract NatureGuy, silly OP!

Ello /p/, newfag here with a long-standing desire to get into filmmaking. I'm gonna buy a Canon 80D soon, but was wondering what lens is the best on the market to go with it to allow me to produce some absolute kino.
Any suggestions? :)
Take this dull shit to the Gear Thread.
Hi - this is wedding. Eating tasty food.
Hi wedding, this is dad.

Try to keep your subject in focus and not overexpose your photos, maybe that will help
>somebody paid for that
I'd like to know if the picture was altered by photoshop. How can I differentiate between a "RAW" picture and those which have been touched up afterwards?

By killing yourself, all truths are revealed.
>>3111245
Agreed, ive killed myself several times, and the allness of truths increases every time.
Seriously, quality shitpost OP, kys
>>3111242
ya need to take a cracker, nut on it, then crush it up into dust, then snort it
you will get into a trance, like if you woke up in a psychedelic labyrinth. take the second door on the right, there the truth will be waiting for you. don't NOT do this, there are no shortcuts if you are looking for the true answer
I'm not that good at photography. Could you give me some tips for taking a good profile picture without a professional camera?
>inb4 don't
>>3111116
Read the sticky
Read what people post and write as critique in recent photo threads
then delete this thread and dont post until you have taken at least some decent photos.
you want soft natural light
sit by a window or something
in the shade
you want it to be even and no hard shadows
doesn't really matter because it's not like a good profile pic will make you more attractive than you are in real life
>>3111116
the lighter and more evenly the light the less the camera has to work
I've got a Nikon D5000 and am looking for a prime lens, maybe something around 35mm.
Want something cheap that gives me the best quality, maybe something I can get for even $50.

you have hundreds to spend on a camera but not a lens?
anything in the $50 range is either shit or nonexistent so good luck
if you insist on being a poorfag, get a e series 35mm from eBay. cheap plastic but optically fine
>>3111112
choice of lens > camera body
considering the body is already outdated by 7 years and your budget is 50$ I'd recommend buying a vintage lens. If photography is something you're actually pursuing as a hobby it's worth investing in a lens as they'll last. 50$ got me someone's old film kit with a Nikon 50mm 1.4, a Rokinon 28mm 2.8 and a Rokinon telephoto on ebay.
tl;dr
sucks to be you, nerd.
>>3111112
No way you're getting 35mm equivalent on a crop body for $50. 24mm FF lenses are over $100 even if you go third party [assuming you want AF]
I got a 360fly camera for my birthday in April, and it has been sitting on my desk collecting dust. Decided to finally try it at least.
What program should I be using to edit the footage? I would like to attempt making, for want of a better term, "small planet" visual effect.
Are Adobe Premiere and After Effects relevant? I am new to this 360 gimmick and don't want the cost of this garbage to be wasted.
Whats he photographing? Was booking a vacation to vegas and I clicked on The Cromwell hotel. Saw this photo, though of /p.

>Whats he photographing?
that juicy vagina with the delicious thighs at the pools border.
Presumably promotional material for the hotel.

Where can I learn how to edit my digital photographs? This might sound arrogant coming from a noob but the books and tutorials I found were from people who I didn't like the work of. Are there any courses thought by actual masters? Like people who have their work in big galleries and not just get a lot of likes on social media from amateurs?

thats a pretty valid request, but im afraid you wont be able to get anything like that. fine art pros dont go around hosting courses on how to pp their work, they focus 100% on how to build a body of work, editing and narrative skills, unless they are eye candy one trick ponys like benoit paille, but its not the norm.
also most of the time they have nobodies that are good on pp, that do the boring work for them, these dont host pp workshops either.
your best shot would be to get proficient at photoshop and also develop enough sensory acuity to "reverse engineer" the process of a given photo, so know where did they dodged or burned, where they lifted whole sections exposure, or how they shifted or compressed tonality as a whole.
emailing authors with specific questions gives good results most of the time, just dont be autistic or try to rob much of their time.
tl;dr nope, git gud.

Who gives a shit if you like their work?
You're learning technique. How you apply the technique is up to you.
