I went on a short Trip to visit friends in Hamburg recently.
i did just bring my older p7000 and took some pictures here and there of things that looked interesting.

How do you get colours into an image like this?
And before somebody just say curves i have tried everything i can think of with curves and it looks nothing like that.
If you think it can be done with curves, please show the curve.
Heres a ref image to try it on and what you normally get just messing around with curves.

Unsure, this guys photos always have weird stuff like that on them, pretty sure that blue stuff top right is painted in, also looking at the left corner, looks like its not painted over while the rest of the image is.

Talking about composition, is this example, what you would say about it?

>>I know probably there is no real subject
Then why?
The lines are clearly defined/very obvious but they don't lead me anywhere, they also intersect at uninteresting points that don't work together.
A nice composition more often than not isn't the determining factor if a photo is successful. This is obviously a close-up of an uninteresting concrete column. There is no mystery as to what I'm looking at. I know exactly what it is and I'm not interested in it because I would never be interested in it so long asni knoe what I'm looking at. Sure the comp is pleasing, but that isnt enough to make me want to look at the photo for longer than a few seconds
Might as well post the edited shots here as well.
Enjoy.

Anytime the aperture is shown as f/0 or f/1.0 it's because I used Olympus' 9mm fisheye. It has a fixed f/8 aperture, but doesn't report anything back to the camera's electronics.

Shoot RAW.
Not sure where it's at on your model, but they'll be an area to set a custom white balance by taking a shot of a gray card and then selecting it as the basis for the white balance. Mines in the second list of camera setting after I hit menu, and then custom white balance and select the gray card photo. Then change the white balance to the custom setting, it looks like to triangles with a square in the middle. After that just shoot. Or you can shoot the gray card and then do the custom white balance in their, and then sync it to everything in that lighting.
>>2696207
This. The auto white balance on my camera is usually pretty blue but it's incredibly easy to fix in post when you shoot RAW
Yo /p/, asking on /b/ and /r/ has proven utterly useless,so I'm going to the source!
I've been using specific names for images and folders with sub-folders to organize all my pictures from 4chan, the internet and from my personal and traveling pictures.
Problem is it's not enough anymore to keep everything tidy and I really do enjoy classifying my stuff... But aside from my OCD, thing are getting really messy with my current system.
How do you guys tag your pictures?
I'm using XnView as in image viewer and it has categories, but they don't seem to modify the image EXIF, thus making category useless and not compatible if I ever change to a new software. Microsoft XP tagging system is not bad since it allow you to quick search your computer (really nice to find reaction image or thread related pictures), but it's way to tedious to tag everything manually or even in group using the ctrl key.
Is there an image viewer that allow you to create a taglist and just browse folders while checking boxes to tag each pictures?
I'm searching for something elegant, which mean useful and yet easy to use (also open source or freeware if possible)
>>2695968
>Update
I used to have Adobe Bridge on my old Mac and it was able to do exactly that and tag image properly. Since the most recent cracked version is not Windows 10 compatible. I might just download it and buy it for a couple of months until I get my shit sorted properly.
I'm ready to bet there is freeware that allow efficient tagging, but I can't find one...
>>2696025
>Update
Trying Picasa 3.x right now. It has a quick tag interface but it's only a couple of tags that get stored and not a full edit-able list. I'll see if there is a way to mod or change that for another tagging layout

... have ruined a bunch of my films.
I travel often and almost always carry a camera. After being periodically told that the scanners are harmless by the attendants, I sometimes just threw the films in, putting them in a separate tray from the camera.
This time it didn't work out. I figured out where it must have happened, I think the scanner stopped for a second or something focusing the ray right at few of the rolls.
So it really is worth it asking to have them hand-checked.

Hello, can somebody give me more rules like the one in pic related?
>>2695797
Related to what?
For astro, your shutter speed should be 500/focal length to keep stars from trailing
hand-held shutter speeds should be more than 1/focal length to avoid shaky hands
Rule of thirds is pretty good for basic composition, etc.
