This thread is for all of us who don't have a camera, but take pride in some of the shots we take in our everyday lives.

So I was loading some 35mm into my camera and it died midway through. Turns out I had less battery life than I thought. So I replaced the dead batteries with some unlabeled Chinese ones I forgot I had and it kept going till it stopped at 11.
Now I'm not sure what to do since it only thinks there's 11, because it automatically rewinds the film back into container once you've used all the shots.
So basically I was wondering if there's a way I can get the camera to realize there's actually 24 shots? Sorry if I'm forgetting something obvious, I haven't used film in a long time.
Find a darkroom or a completely dark area and you'll have to manually pull the film out of the back and rewind into the casette
>>2737286
So by completely dark do you mean like I can't see my hands?
>>2737290
Yes. What happens if you take a 1 second exposure of a dark room? 2? 4? 8?

I paid a photographer 450 for a semi-lousy photoshoot. My eyes were not the focal point in 80% of the photos, even the majority of headshots did not have my eyes as the focal point, not to say all the images were blurry, it was just not how a professional photog should have taken the photo. I now have to salvage the usable vs trash.
I looked through his work before hiring him and thought his work looked good. I didn't expect this to happen. I tried calling him about it and he said he'll get back to me on it but hasn't returned my call since.
If I edit my photos that he converted from raw to jpeg, will I lose any image quality? He shot in Raw, converted it to jpeg, and sent it to me via wetransfer.

>If I edit my photos that he converted from raw to jpeg, will I lose any image quality?
Depends on the edit. Colors? Yes. Exposure? Yes.
>>2739781
Unavoidably, yes. Photographers are often real skittish cunts about handing out raws so your best bet is demanding your money back or the raws, but he might not get your message if he's ignoring you, or he just won't do either.
At that point it's time to threaten his web presence with reviews and photos, with the problems clearly outlined for normies.
i loaded a standard roll w/ 36 frames into my camera. after it wound the film it indicates 37 remaining exposures. did I improperly load the film? is the whole roll fucked now?
>>2739361
36 is only a conservative estimate. With the right camera and some practice, you can actually get a full 40 frames off one roll. Some cameras have sufficiently sophisticated film advance mechanisms that they can get an extra frame off every roll for you.
>>2739366
ah, alright. didn't know it worked like that. many thanks.
>>2739366
How to do that? The film advance lever can anymore advance past the "E".
Do you like dark/creepy/horror pictures?
If so, post some of your favorites.

Now I remember why I stopped using this website...
I just bought a SanDisk SD Card for my Nikon D7000 after about a day of taking pictures it stopped working. I tried to format it on the camera and after it completes the formatting, it just stays on FOR and flashes the slot it's in it. I tried to format it in the computer and no luck there. Has anyone had this happen to them before or is this just a freak thing that happened to me? If it has happened to someone else did you get it fixed? Thanks in advance.
While waiting enjoy the few pictures I was able to salvage.
deviantart vs instagram vs Tumblr vs Flickr?

DA = autist / weaboo faggots
Instagram = alright (some good, most bad)
Tumblr = alright (some good, most bad)
Flickr = circlejerking faggots
If you want to curate your work / go blog style, tumblr's the best bet. If you want your work to "get out there" Instagram's your best bet.
Flickr's alright for storage, but community's awful.
>>2739541
Thanks m8. Do you have other websites in your mind?
>>2739541
What this guy said, with the addition of most Tumblr users being insufferable shitstains. Insta is your best bet.

its pretty good, want to see pics?
Given it's all open source and literally anyone can develop for it, why don't smaller, or ambitious camera companies like Vivitar, Polaroid, Ricoh, GoPro, Moultrie, Yamaha, Schneider-Optik or Kodak try their hand at making cameras and lenses for Micro Four Thirds?
On that note, why don't companies like Toshiba who already make sensors give it a go? Or companies that have been kicked out of the camera industry but still make other stuff like Casio or Celestron?
Even Samsung could expect to reasonably compete if it enters itself into a system which already has lenses and accessories for its customers to buy into, rather than expecting them to be content with the shitty offerings of its NX range.
Companies like Z, Zhongyi Mitakon and Blackmagic have done a great job of entering the m43 marketplace with interesting products, and whilst none of the above can reasonably expect to sell as much as Olympus or Panasonic, they could certainly give the bigger companies a run for their money, and exploit the already existing consumer base rather than try to build their own from scratch.
Seriously, can you imagine how great an X-Pro 1 style micro four thirds rangefinder with a sigma foveon sensor would be? Sigma; get on this

Stop pulling everyone else down to your miserable level. If you don't have anything of value to say just don't, and if you can't make yourself feel good but through being condescending guess what, it'll only make yourself more and more miserable because all you see is misery in others and in yourself.
Sincerely, the good therapist
Is it normal for Photoshop to be using 9GB of memory? I know video editing chews up a lot more, but I didn't expect to be using this much with PS.
Is there something I can do to optimize this?
>>2736507
Photoshop keeps the memory for future uses to avoid memory fragmentation.

Well my PC is older and has only 8GB of memory which has never slowed PS down. Yours seems to have 16GB of memory and it looks like PS is using more because it's able to use more. By default I'm guessing that PS uses a good chunk of your RAM, at least on something without panoramic stitching, so it can finish faster. There's probably a way to change this but I'm not sure how.
>>2736521
>>2736520
I have 16GB installed, but I guess some of it is forcibly system reserved. Seems like I've hit a bottleneck though.
Premier Pro uses upto 14GB from time to time...
Time to upgrade to 32GB DDR4?
