this doesn't deserve its own thread but i think the rule of thirds one is 5% better
I think both could be much better. The second one is better out of the two though.

So I used to have a Canon 7D which I loved very much, but I had to sell it due to reasons. I'm looking to get a new DSLR (primarily for video, but I'll be taking a lot of photos as well) and my budget is limited. I was looking at the Nikon D3300, and I'm wondering are there any better alternatives? 1080p 60fps and 24fps is a must, and I'm motivated to buy something that's very good in low light
>>2741380
Why are you interested in migrating to Nikon? SHouldn't you stay with Canon and use the glass you already have?
I'm a nikon shooter btw
>>2741383
I sold the glass as well, I'm really just looking for the best camera in this price range
>>2741380
Why not get a 7DII? It should drop its price considerably when the D500 comes out.
Or just a used 7D, those are still very good cameras.
Don't buy an entry level plastic shit.

Do not attempt to make a new thread for your new Rabal, broken glass and being new. You have been warned!

Good thing.
I don't care to buy Leica bodies, but I'd love if we got to the point where all lenses can be used on all cameras.
I'd make for a far more competitive market there.

Would this lens work on a Nikon D3200? Thanks
>>2742010
Yes, but check the AF first.
>>2742010
Yeah it should be fine. Ask for a picture of the bottom of the lens if it has a hole on the edge of the mount that's for the AF drive
Any Nikon mount lens will work. BUT only lenses with an autofocus motor in the lens will focus for you. The d series keeps the AF mechanisms in the lens, not the body.

Okay I really need help. I have been shooting for a couple years now, I always wanted to shoot landscape because lets be honest they are pretty as fuck. So after a few years of learning different skills and creating "art", I came to the biggest picture block ever, everything looked like shit and unoriginal. So I gave landscape a go. That shits hard. The last month I travelled all along lake ontario looking for pretty places but I cannot, for the life of me figure out how to translate the beauty of the landscape into my photographs. So I ask all of you
1. How to I get out of a photo block?
2. Take beautiful fucking photos of mother nature. ?
And share some of your Landscapes while your here.
Heres my best attempt

I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt.
Your photos seem to have the right idea and you are trying to make multiple layers happen. However, the pictures are not sharp and the color is no good. Other than in post, you can correct the color by shooting at a different time of day or a day with different weather. Also if I am reading the exif right your shutter is too slow and you could do better shooting at f/8.
In end none of this really matters because you have the right idea and will eventually make cool photos if you persist. Don't give up on yourself.
What does /p/ use to edit their photos? Right now DxO OpticsPro is on sale on the app store for 50% off.
Previously I used Lightroom but I don't care for it to be honest, I don't use shitty VSCO filters or anything.
Any recommendations for good editors (also, I primarily edit photos from my iPhone, occasionally RAWs from my 5D so it has to support both well).

I use lightroom, PS sometimes...what exactly is your problem with LR?
>>2740631
I find the interface really clunky and I don't use it enough to warrant paying monthly for Adobe CC.
>>2740648
idk, for me the sliders are pretty intuitive, you even have an option to auto adjust things (that you can also change). As for paying, there's always pirating. Had DxO recommended by a photographer once, but didn't really bother with checking it out

He is saying you did neither of those so you won't get any feedback.
A photo that was edited in raw then converted to jpeg got sent to me and after examining it, there was still minor issues to be edited. (A blemish on the arm, make the eyes brighter etc etc) so I went ahead and opened it up in Photoshop, did the small edits, and save the photo. Did I just destroy any resolution?

Nothing noticeable, no. If you do it over and over and over again, there will be noticeable degradation, as saving and re-saving continuously runs compression and processing.
Hi guys, I have a couple questions. Snapshit related.
ICE stitching vs photoshop, which do you guys prefer?
In photoshop, can you focus stack when handholding for macro. (realign images similar to deep sky) I read about someone who prefers this method recently, but it was one of those trashy cuntspam blogs with low quality writing.
Konica AR lenses, do they still hold up today? I've seen the IQ on the 40mm f1.8 for example, and it's fantastic to me, but I'm a skilless noobie. I don't want an awful quality of life from manual focus, but I still have like 20k shots before I'll be decent.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for learning a shitload about composition, and not just a basic understanding?

I only use ICE for stitching photos now. It's much faster and gives better results than photoshop.
