Ok, I wanna do shots for fitness models. Both male and female.

Whats the minimum equipment that I need it to make it work? Cheap stuff or DIY welcome since Im on the third world.

Like bare minimum. Also keep in mind that Im in the third world so clients might be not as picky as in other places. This barely passable picture is considered top pro shit here. So yeah, not a picky country.

A bunch of studio or at least portable lights plus diffusers that you can trigger reliably somehow. You could buy a bunch of Chinese ones (Yongnuo, Godox, Neewer, Cactus, ...)

A recent though perhaps low-end digital IL camera with a 35mm and a 90 to 135mm lens at the very least.

Maybe someone doing makeup, and some makeup.

A computer with Darktable, Rawtherapee, AfterShot, Lightroom or whatever.
>>
>>2783274
Ah yes, tripod and light stands. Redundant storage on HDD or SSD (data loss is also a problem when it happens in the 3rd world, right?).

And of course a studio or at least an empty-able place where you can set up a background (cheapest? pin it to the wall or something) and your lights, though of course you could shoot outdoors.
>>

>a 35mm and a 90 to 135mm lens at the very least.
HAHAHAHA no.

50 1.8 because dude's going to be using a crop. Also a fucking 35mm? No. Just no.

OP, minimum is literally just a crop body with a 50mm 1.8

After that, a 5 in 1 reflector
Then it depends on what direction you want to go.

/g/ here

two questions:

1. Can i control a camera from a computer?
2. Can I control a Tripod from a computer?

1. Yes

2. Yes

/g/ you should know you can control anything from a computer with the right code.

but not a windows/mac computer. you have to use gentoo.

I recently got to use my university photography societies darkroom and it was a mess, after cleaning up the enlarger and setting some stuff up... I noticed that the carrier tray has two glass plates holding the negatives in place, and they are held in place using flimsy clips, it would take one idiot to knock them out, and smash them, rendering them usless.

A new carrier costs like 120£, and who's bright idea was it to use glass pane carriers? They are fucking dust magnets...

>tfw eternal war with dust
>no compressed air
>Fix is crystallizing, committee too lazy to buy more...
>no ventilation, stew in fumes all day
>No music, develop in silence
>no qt gf rubbing her bum against me as I help her set up her picture

The pain is real.

http://petapixel.com/2012/11/17/the-camera-versus-the-human-eye/

Tldr; on 35mm film/full frame cameras, peripheral vision is equal to about an 8mm fisheye lens in terms of FOV, general forward vision is equal to a 17mm lens, and focused vision is equal to a 43mm lens.

In the future, we need

> curved, super resolution sensors with similar qualities to our eyes
> glass that can simulate multiple focal lengths on the curved sensors

Until then, based Pentax is the only company with 43mm lens.

what a shit, non photography thread.
>>
>>2782621

How is it not photography related?

People always talk about 50 vs 35 when discussing what looks most like our eyes, when it's apparently 43 that is.

Also opening up theories on future sensor and lens design that could most closely resemble our own vision in a camera.
>>
>>2782646
Different anon, but I'm going to presume it's because it's about physics and engineering.

Duplicating human vision for photography is useless; eyes are fucking stupid. Determining human eye fov for lens selection is also stupid, just pick a lens that works for the photo's content.

It's all absolutely useless, that's what I'm thinking.

Always wanted to play with one, but I refuse on principal to pay the crazy price they go for now - no way I'm paying £20+ for a camera that should retail for maybe £1.

>Plastic + leak
>overpriced and awful
>implying optical lens

but the most important point is:
>"Fun"

Buy a cheap Russian Lubitel 166 instead.
>>
>>2781746
I have no pretensions about the absolutely terrible and generic hipster lomography look but I am stuck in a rut and thought that embracing the commercial "hipster photography look" full on might widen my horizons a little bit by doing a series of "imperfect authentic" portraits by guesstimating composition and absolutely bathing it in rodinal

found a used holga for 20 eur, lubitel 166s are actually more expensive than the holga

I found a diana f+ for 10 but those dont really make use of the full frame

How do I fly with a DSLR + Lenses?

Obviously nothing is going in checked baggage nor overhead - so one key item is going to be a good bag for everything which can go under the seat.

Hey so I got this basic camera from my uncle for my birthday, and my girlfriend is letting me take a sex tape of us while I tie her up. I'm messing with the settings but I can't keep the flash on constantly like an Iphone so I'm wondering what I can do to make the best of a low light situation. I doubt I'll get another go at this anytime soon (it's part of my birthday) so any advice would be awesome.

You know I don't think anyone on /p/ even has a GF so I doubt they know how to make sex tapes.
>>
>>2780928
You need light.
Do it next to a window during the day, or get on Ebay and pick up a CFL softbox light kit for $80.
>>
iphone flash is actually not a flash, just the equivalent of taping a torch/constant light source to your camera and turning it on whenever you want to take a picture

I recommend you buy a cheap softbox with bulb from craigslist or amazon, those things really arent that expensive anymore
