Either a very long exposure (film) or stacked interval shots (digital)
This one is digital because you can see the jitters in the stars from a poorly set interval.

Needs work to do what you want it to, photoshop or a change of lighting will hide the stretch mark. If it doesn't set a high expectation its not art.

Do any of you guys use the VSCO app and post to grid?

I want to move away from instagram since they introduced this fucking shit algorithm. VSCO seems like a really nice option but the UI is a bit shit.

- any tips for using the app?
- finding good grids to follow?
- post your grid if you have one

I don't know a fucking thing about /p/hotos. What're some things I should do or not do?
All I plan to use it for is dumb pleb shit, like taking pictures of things I want to sell on eBay or show my brothers while out and about.

Do: Take pictures of things you like
Don't: Buy a bunch of lenses and start telling people their photos are shit
>>

I wouldn't know a shit photo if it slapped me in the face and said, "Hi, I'm a shit photo."

I tried to take some pictures outside a bit ago and they were super blurry. I wasn't using a tripod (don't have one), but is there anyway to help that? Maybe it was the low light?
>>
>>2812079
Did you get the camera to focus before you took the shot? I'd think the camera would be smart enough in auto to take a good shot.

I'd suggest learning a bit about composition. That's the biggest difference between good and shit photos.

i expect to be shot down hard

*DISCLAIMER: SNAPSHITS AND ANALOG FUCKUPS GALORE*

today i developed two rolls. went to the lab and gave them the first one (this first "serie"), which came out all fucked, but, by the powers of digital technology, i managed to get the image that was hidden inside the mess. sort of.

im sharing this because: fuck yea, film.

Only FF and only if back lens is going far from adapter. It's rare case and there are many info about different lens.

I want to start using Lightroom to manage my library, but what is the best way to sort my files on a hard drive before importing them to Lightroom?

I'm thinking of just creating a folder for my raw files, dumping everything in there organized by date or event, and then having a separate folder outside of that for exported images. Is that a proper way to do that?

Inside there are raws. Once you convert to jpegs, put a subfolder called "Edits" or "JPEG" or whatever you want right in there.

If I put the JPGs in a supfolder with the raws, wouldn't that cause Lightroom to import the JPGs as well the next time it scans the folder? Or is there a way to prevent that?

And thanks!

Sadly these are only the photos I have on my phone. All were taken with an iPhone 5s (it's falling apart).

As I sit next to my wife's bed in the hospital I'm reflecting on this last trip we took to Myanmar and Thailand to visit her family I'm reminded how special she is and incredible times we've spent together. I couldn't ask for a more amazing wife.
