I recently bought a Bronica SQ-A, here's a bunch of snapshits I've made with it. Composing squares has been a fun little challenge, I hope I did alright.
Comments and critiques are always appreciated. Rectangles need not apply.

Anyone know why my higher pixel camera takes a worse photo than the lower pixel one?
Here is a picture. The one on the left is my old phone, and I upgraded to a far superior phone but it masks most blemishes almost makes you look not real. I liked the realness of the camera before because it didnt hide anything. It even looks like I have color in my eyes too. Any idea whats going on?

you fucking suck.
Is there a way to make a lens projected image smaller, so the camera gets full image coverage (ie. actual focal length) regardless of sensor size?
There should be an optical way to do this.
>>2893220
Yes, there already is: http://www.metabones.com/products/?c=speed-booster
Focal condensers are not a new concept, it's just there hasn't been a good reason for anyone to manufacture them, until the spread of MFT and APS-C cameras for video.
Historically, Stanley Kubrik had a custom one made for him when he shot Barry Lyndon, giving his lens an effective aperture of f/0.7, for shooting a scene lit entirely by candle light.
You're describing a metabones speedbooster

Hi /p/
I'm struggling with the pic related picture. I want to erase the parts that I've marked in red, but I have failed since I'm not very good with PS and LR. I was wondering if you guys know how to remove that parts using PS or LR. And which software amongst them you prefer.
I've tried with the PS clone tool, but it is not working for me due to the different tone of the "sky" (the cloned parts are more clear than the parts that I want to cover).
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
p.s.: girl on pic related is my gf.

it can only be done with the clone tool. it's hard. next time compose with this in mind

I took other pictures, but I actually liked this capture since it is broader.
When I took this one I was thinking on editing and deleting those objects, but didn't know that It would be that hard.
Whats the deal with this guy? I cant tell if hes a total autist or worthwhile
Dork with a big following. Needs to get over himself.

So I've posted a few of my beer shots here before and I've gotten awesome feedback and advice. I've taken all of it and I have my best shot to date. Here is a 100% unedited shot taken on my nikon d3300 with a kit lense.
>>2891171
post more
also, doesnt matter if edited or not lol its not too much of a big deal; editing.
>>2891171
Man, I can honestly see that you took advice from those previous thread. I think that this is by far the most pleasing shot you've given us.
Since this is unedited, I won't go nuts with comments, but a couple of things jump out at me:
1) That blade of grass in the top right corner cuts off the whole corner. It's weird since it's in the OoF background, but it's still distracting.
2) I'd editing is to that the can is a little bright and the colors on the can a little truer to natural colors. There seems to be some color casts dulling it.
3) The glass in the background is leading. I wish it was straight.
4) I feel like the composition is a little heavy on the left end of the frame. But, I do like the relationship between the can and the glass.
Seriously, though, you've gotten better.
I want to take pictures of women naked.
I'm a big dude and can be charismatic when I try, not Uncle Terry status but maybe a young uncle terry...
I aspire to be like him so much, taking pictures of beautiful women naked and who knows what it may lead to.
I live in southern california, how do I go about finding women to shoot naked?
How do I carry myself as an amateur photographer when it comes to shooting nude women?
Do you guys have any suggested readings or any famous photographers who shoot naked women?
I would be willing to pay women to shoot them nude, but I would like to find a way to have them open up to me and want to express their inner desires of exhibition.
>>2889228
It would seem to me you're trying to take pictures of naked women for the wrong reasons.
You sound creepy to be honest.
>>2889231
hence my reference to uncle terry
Maybe you should just hire hookers and shoot them desu.
Then you can whip out your micro four thirds for them.
We all love photography, we are all familiar with gear, and we know how to shitpost. But how the fuck do we make money. Do you make money on shoots? What do you do, how did it start? Do yo u make money elsewhere and snap shit on the side?
I thinks /p could benefit from a intelligent thread and share our business knowledge to make photography a living like so many others do.
That being said I am interested in the commercial side, so products and studios and whatnot. I have assisted for a little bit, but fucked up somewhere and have not been called back. Networking is a huge aspect of the photo biz (anyone interested in starting a /p Slack ch.??) but how do you talk work as a lover of photography as well? Do you even talk about potential gigs, and if so when?
I have so many questions and think that there may be more you out there with similar ones.
I suck more dick networking and trying to network than I do taking photos. Go to wedding shows, photography meet ups, email photographers in your town, if your in college out university than check if there any clubs.
>>2886477
I think that where do you live has a great influence in which kind of photography you´ll be able to make a profitable business of. The sad truth is that most of commercial work is focused in LA and NY. Not only most big companies, with real budgets, the ones we all dream with are in those places but the production companies, eq rental houses, etc are there too. Many companies fly just to shoot even if they´re not located there.
You wanna play with the big boys? You have to move to the big cities.
Assisting is a great way to start, probably your best chances are there. You´ll probably something every single time you get a gig, if you don´t, it means you´re working for the wrong people.
Ideally you´ll freelance assisting while building you´re own portfolio on the side, now you have a team of professionals looking to expand they´re own skills (the people you meet while assisting) and you have better and more refined skills.
Once you have a decent portfolio is time to knock doors and sell, sell sell.
It sounds like a long run, but somebody said.."don´t worry if something will take a very long time to be accomplished, the time will pass anyway" or something like that
you´ll probably LEARN something*...

Nice, I like it. Pls post process guidelines.

Edited in Lightroom.
>Sharpened and luminescence first.
>Added contrast, clarity and vibrance, removed some saturation.
>Added shadows and dropped blacks a little.
>Went in to split toning, kept highlights as is, but changed shadows to a more "yellowy" effect and played about with the balance.
>Went to HSL/Colour/B&W and clicked B&W
>Added "graduated filter to areas around cars.
>Dropped whites and added some highlights.
Basically spent the last week playing about with B&W and colour editing to try get some film style effects. Did pic related a few days ago too.
Just give it a go and see how it comes out, you can always start over fresh in Adobe suites with no issues.
