That looks like film or Foveon.
Am I right?
Are there any good Youtube channels that make non-biased camera/lens reviews?
Recently I've been watching TheCameraStoreTv, and their videos seem quite well constructed and informative. However they are representing a store, so it needs to be kept im mind when watching.
Sometimes I also watch B&H panels, though they of course are also a camera shop.
What are your favorite youtube channels to watch and why? Mainly in the review point of view, but other aspects are ok too.

>Are there any good Youtube channels that make non-biased camera/lens reviews?
Youtube channels and blogs all rely on online sales to justify their existence.
Would anyone one /p/ ever go on thunder thighs photo tours?

How did they shoot the night scenes in texas chainsaw massacre? What kind of filme/iso did they use?
they used gigantic movie lights, like all movie productions.
http://www.studentfilmmakers.com/news/article_1606.shtml
Movie lights are insane. They shoot tons of movies on my alma mater's campus and they can make that shit look like daytime in the middle of the night.
Turns out you can make Lomo action sampler photos into gifs
>>3132709
>Turns out motion picture is just multiple photos shown in fast succession
Wew

At least 85mm prime and a couple lights among a good setting.

What would a good beginners camera be? I'm on a small budget but would be willing to spend 200-300 for a camera.
>>3132524
Used Sony A6000

M43 cameras are for white boys with little weenies that love seeing their wife get fucked by big black cock.
Is bokeh a meme? The best portraits are crisp and sharp like pic related. Everything else just looks like tryhard millennial shit.

The background isnt even crisp in your example its a washed out backdrop.
Kys.

No it isn't fucking kill yourself milennial scum
>>3132006

Is lighting a meme? Game of Thrones just changes the white balance to make it look like shits cool and it's pure kino. Why not do it all in post like then and win some awards?

By wat right does the wolf judje the lion?
I'm going to be photographing a nightclub tonight. This is my first time doing something like this.
What should I keep in mind?
I have a 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 and a 30mm f/1.4, which one should I use?
Should I try shooting wide open, high ISO, or should I just use my flash?
Any tips are welcome. Thanks.

Soft flash but use a long shutter speed and rear curtain sync.
Don't put people outside the center of the frame with such wide angles.

Get drunk.
You picked the shittiest and most dead-end work in photography that there is. Besides shooting biometric portraits all day... maybe.
use something in the range of 30-50mm 1.8-1.2
expose for highlights
manual focus if comfortable with it
Is there anything more going on here than the following:
- Closer to the subject(s)
- Lower
- Shallower depth of field
- applying some vignetting
It shows a photographers before how he used to take photos and how he now takes photos but Im trying to ID everything he is doing

>>3131830
well I mean the obnoxious overbearing color grading for a start
I don't envy him, if I walked around seeing that all the time I'd be vomiting constantly
>>3131843
Yes I thought that there might be some filters going on here too. The colors look boosted
I found it interesting reading recently that some photographers are selling their custom made filter presets for lightroom online
