Got some pics from Japan to post. There's too many to post them all and I only have so much patience with the post timers and captchas, but I'll post a few here and if you want to see them all you can check them out on my photoblog here:

because we know better.
Seems yongnuo will dominate the lenses market the same way they dominate the speedlight market.
40mm f2.8 and 100mm f2
How can nikon even compete

>>3124026
i mean, i like his website, useful af
>>3124026
Great website and resources. Not so keen on him as a photographer.
>>3124054
why so ?
who are some great photographers that inspire you ?
Tony Northrup and his beautiful wife Chelsea.
I find isi's work pretty inspiring because it reminds me that there are good pictures waiting in even the worst surroundings

i'm thinking of selling my Leica M4 and buy a point n shoot camera
because for professional use, I already have nikon F3 so M4 kinda feels like just an old camera in the closet.
so I'm thinking of a durable, compact point n shoot for snap shit
Im thinking of Ricoh GR1v/s because currently the local store has a unused one
is it durable? I heard it's LCD fades over time but I dont think i would care because i see it's just showing shots left
does it break easily other than the screen?
or should I buy GR digital? I heard it's lens breaks easily

In terms of P&S cameras, the GR series (35mm) seem to be the most fragile. They are quite nice and pocketable, and have one of the wider lenses of the more premium options which might be a factor for you.
GR digital is nice. A friend just got one and it seems solid.
It depends what you want to spend. I get just as much enjoyment from shooting with my Stylus Epic as I do with the Contax T2, which is three times the price.
Save a fuck ton of money, get a Stylus Epic, and see how you like it. Very real chance you won't feel the need to upgrade. If you do want to upgrade, selling the Epic will be no problem.
Aside from pocketability , the biggest perk of shooting a point and shoot is having it be a semi-disposable piece of gear that you don't stress about.
Owning a $500+ point and shit would defeat the purpose, for me at least.
PS Yashica T4s are absolute dogshit
Thinking of getting pic related. Still unsure about it though.
Hey /p/ I was wondering if any of you who do photography or any digital media type work as a living could give some insight on the career.
I'm 18 and have always had a love towards digital arts. Now that I see all my peers posting photos onto heir snapchats on move in day makes want to sign up for a university but I've been told going to a community college would be the best financial path. Or are for profit colleges like the art institute any good?
Would like to know how you guys started off?
How hard was it to get a good paying job?
Do you make enough to live a comfortable lifestyle?
And any other I formation you guys would be able to share

Go to a community college or a community tech school if you wand a degree; go to something like AI or Full Sail if you want to go into debt.
The art school will probably have better equipment and maybe better teachers, but you're getting the same degree/qualifications at the end of the day.

incredible!!!
Acha THX if anyones wants follow me in The instagram a will puto there lot of shit like this
how to shoot the eclipse?
is a R72 filter dark enough for the eclipse?
I also have an ND8 and CPL
if I stack them all will this give me enough of a light reduction?
Get an actual solar filter.
>>3133197
You need about 16 stops of filtering AND proper UV filtering.
You only need a filter for looking directly at it, or looking through an OPTICAL viewfinder (like a DSLR), or if you're shooting it from a tripod and leaving the camera pointed at the sun for more than 30 seconds at a time.
If you point the camera up to take a picture and walk away, nothing bad will happen.
Don't believe the hype. Does your camera break when the sun goes behind a tree?
The Google Pixel Takes pretty decent photos. No need to lug around my PAS anymore.
This was taken with my Pixel.

Phones are still not real cameras so they will always lose to an APS-C sensored point and shoot. Anytime a person ask me, i will tell them that.

>that cop car behind
Also no, I am using real cameras.
