Confirmed.
Back in my pro days people asked me the same thing and I would say I'm only a pro when there's money or services (you scratch my back I'll scratch yours) being exchanged.
How about this. Everyone who has been on /p/ more than 5 minutes knows I'm a truck driver. I'm a professional driver when I'm on the road, working on the clock and getting paid by the mile or by the load these days.
When I'm in my personal vehicle I'm not getting paid.
show me your model interaction skills /p
What would you tell a model to get emotes a, b and c?

>LEXAR
I keep hearing people say never to use Lexar cards.. In fact, for several years (probably 9) I never used anything other than SanDisk. I had NEVER had any issues with any SanDisk cards in all of those years.
One day I needed a new card and went in to a local camera store, they had an epic deal on Lexar cards and I just thought fuck it, how bad could they be. I have now been using these Lexar cards as my primary cards for over 12 months with no issues.
So why the fuck do peple keep talking about Lexar being shit?? I went all those years not using them (and being happy with SanDisk) but have been using the Lexars with no issues now for 12 months.
Is there any reason why people spout this bullshit? Are there any facts to back up SanDisk cards being superior?
I will also mention that I use these cards in a professional environment, thousands of images every week.
Just tired of hearing this Lexar is shit meme with no proof.
Thx
>>2957562
I use lexar 1000x cards and Ive never had a single failure or issue. Sandisk is just better at branding and marketing.
I have an acetone soaked lexar card that still works

How should I set my aperture to be able to capture dust particles in the air or in light beams? Any tips?
You should clean your room.
>>2955856
Doesn't matter as long as your focus is on the section in which light illuminates the dust particles. The smaller the apperture, the bigger your focused area (DOF). Although if you're making those shots indoors you'll need big appertures such as 2.8 or 4.
The key to capture those particles is light, direct beams striking them.

Thanks man
I tried street photography on easy mode tonight (busy town square at Halloween with lots of drunk people) Any tips welcome.

I may soon come into come into ownership of a valuable, old, celluloid photograph. Naturally, I wish to preserve it well as I possibly could. I intend to store it in an archival box that has passed the Photo Activity Test, as well as in a suitable environment with low temperature fluctation, but are there any other precautions I should take?
just scan it with a flatbed if you really want, and then just throw it away. no one wants old photographs I'm sure it's worthless
keep it if it was shot on something made by canon

So, in a week or do I might have an opportunity to go shot at the NODAPL protests. I've likely missed the "best" parts, but I want to give it a go. I don't pretend to be a journalist, but I think it'll be a good experience.
Advice? Stories? Share some of your protest/riot pictures?

Hey, I was actually there OP.
I shot on the standing rock Rez grounds and interviewed people for a publication I was there for.
Met some folks from Al Jazeera and magnum, even foreign journalists from South America covering it.
On the grounds they have rules they teach you in the media tent, basically they don't want you documenting any prayers, they don't want you in the red warrior camp at all since it's mostly elders, and they'll kick you out if you try to force shots.
I was told that some dudes with VICE Canada were kicked out for trying to instruct people during shots.
Sacred stone camp has a lot of wealthy white activists there and will loan you a sleeping bag and space to sleep if you want to spend the night there, it's a few miles from the pipeline/standing rock.
If you stay on the Rez try to volunteer around the camp of you have the opportunity, I helped the cooking tent chop veggies. Anything helps, bring bottles of water if you can and give them to camp coordinators. Batteries, blankets, anything helps.
The physical pipeline is on private grounds, not Rez land, so the tribe can't stop you from going up to the pipeline.
I went up to the pipe, there's not shit going on there 24/7 but security forces would patrol it about twice a day when I was there.
There's some native elders doing constant prayer on the private land, the tribes ask that you NOT photograph or film any of the natives praying on the private land because anybody documented trespassing can be subject to arrest.
Is there any way I can create a 3D virtual tour of an area or building without using Matterport? It's way too expensive. There have to be some alternatives. Any leads?

Just starting really and I suck. First time trying street photography.
I panicked and forgot to focus a lot, and was scared to get up close.
I also panicked in lightroom and slapped filters on everything.
But give me some evil critique please, be as harsh as you like. Help me get better.
