Its good. Drop the namefag. Post more.
Tried to photograph some buildings/architecture in London a few days ago. I don't think these are too great but can't pinpoint why, I think its due to composition but perhaps I could do something in post production to improve them. Whats /p/'s general consensus on these?
Also architectural portrait thread.

Any pics of English qt feetsies?
Good day /p/
I´m in the search of someone who could make a short animated video sequence (6 to 8 seconds) of my Logo showing up and falling to parts. If needed i´d have an example in which way i´m thinking.
I´m a photographer (doing this for hobby not money) and want to create some kind of trailers for my photo shoots, each of them starting with my Logo.
Idk how much work it would be for you, but i´d be willing to support you via paypal with 10 to 15 bucks or so
>>2968042
You can support the global community and find templates on different sites.
Videohive from envatomarket is were a usually go. You can find some nice templates for your intro logo and much more.
https://videohive.net/item/minimal-logo-animation/18319153?s_rank=1 H like this one for ex
>>2968100
thanks for your recommendation.
i´d do that for sure but i don´t own a copy of AE so i´d need a ready to use video instead of a template
>>2968527
you don't need to own
You can pirate it
and guess what
I'm going to teach you
1°) http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2015-direct-download-links.html Download any adobe product you want for Win/osx at the bottom
2°) http://www.xforce-cracks.com/cracks-keygens/adobe-cc-universal-updated2016/
Download this universal cracker, you'll find a "How to" note that contains all steps for the cracking, it's pretty easy a baby could do it.
Now for the templates it's preaty easy, just like in photoshop you change a layer with what you want.
You can tweak everything so it's pretty maluable.
Post your fresh photos here if you only have a couple to share. Please limit your filesize to 1MB.

Using other peoples photos to start off a thread holy fucking shit. If you dont have a photo of your own why the fucking are you creating a thread.
>>2966314
I used to do this all the time to highlight a cool photo from the previous thread and put up a clear thumbnail for people scanning the catalog. Never had a complaint about it before.
How do I recreate this photo?
what camera settings do I use?
>>2964164
It's not all about camera settings you wally, gotta get the right kind of lighting and gear
>>2964168
What kind of len was used? focal length? that kinda thing.
For camera he uses a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, for lens EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM but for this one it was probably the EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM judging by perspective.
For post processing he uses VSCO presets or modified VSCO presets, but he also sells his own presets.
There's nothing special about the settings, just shoot at idk f/8 or so with a fairly wide angle lens and put that cliche blue shadow yellow highlight split-tone on it in post. If you can't get that look then you simply aren't shooting in the right light.
You say EVF i say OVF.
You say small size and weight, i say SL1.
You say low shadow noise, i say Auto ETTR.
You say big dynamic range, i say dual ISO.
You say adapting lenses, i say i can, but unlike you i don't have to.
I'TS A CANON THREAD!
Discuss and ask questions about Canon gear, share techniques for overcoming older sensor limitations, post photos made with Canon digital cameras, and make jokes about Sony and Fuji.
I really want 5D mk4 and 80D sensor technology in a Rabal body. When do you think that will happen?
Also, do you think Magic Lantern will ever get ported to new Canon cameras?

So does this mean there is red in the shadows?
The way I'm reading it the shadows would be a little green.
And for this, the d-min curve means there is blue in the highlights/ blue cast throughout?
>>2968947
Doesnt the green at the top mean it's closest to black? I really have no clue about these. Major was economics haha. Would be nice to get this thread going and have spectral dye curves, char. Curves fully explained away
Old thread has died.
Post ITT if you want to discuss about CCD sensors in general, CCD vs CMOS or if you have any aesthetically pleasing CCD shots to share.
Questions and comparisons are very welcome.
-What makes a good CCD sensor?
-Which CCD is your favorite one?
-Can CMOS ever fully emulate the way a CCD renders its colors?

Perhaps the image would look better if you adjusted it to make the trees a bit more visible - not absolutely certain on that one, though.
Also, I think the lens was a little unsharp for so having so many fine details (well, fine at this distance) in the shot. At some point, of course you can't avoid having some features that are lost in blur and by just being too small, but here, almost everywhere I look I see just something that is a tad too soft, except for the windows closer to you.
>>2967311
The composition isn't terrible, but I would have tried to focus either on the buildings on the left (as in this crop >>2967326) - maybe even on the center building and the reflection in its windows - or on the bridge. There are too many competing subjects, I think.
Also, it's a minor thing in this photo, but in the future try not to cut stuff off the way the tip of the top left spire is. You want to put at least a little bit of space above the top of details like that, or cut them off further down.
Also, post moar photos. It's easier to see trends of bad or good habits with multiple images. And here on /p/, it's considered a good habit to resize your images so they're either 1MB at most or 1000 pixels on the longest side.
Hey it's me again with a couple of pics.
Critique appreciated of course.

when i posted a thread about my ongoing project to document the few remaining hourly rate motels in the bronx a week or two ago, youre response was overwhelmingly positive. "good work dude" you all said, but not in a sarcastic or mean way. and because of those rave reviews of my first thread im posting this followup! COOL! B-)
i'm still considering names for the project. one that i've been playing with recently is "PARADISE BY THE HOUR: The Last of the Bronx's 'No-Tell Motels'"

First for sexy prism domes
I have a Canon 1000D
Should I upgrade to 80D?
>>2965873
Depends. It is a much better body, much more durable and sealed, better af and sensor but you will still need better lenses. You decide what you get first.
