Hey guys. 150€ is a good price for Minolta 50mm f1.2 ? lens has some fungus (not too much) and there is a little damage on lens hood.
what? no
i paid $30 for my srt 101 and it came with that lens
>150 yurobux for a cheap lens with fungus
You just got cucked my guy.
guys it's not f2. it's f1.2
Hi, I'm looking since a very long time for a PDF or PNG files or whatever with:
Cheat cards for the: Nikon D5300 + 50mm f/1.8G Lens
Cheat cards for the: Nikon D5300 + 18-105mm Lens
The only place I found them is at https://www.cameratips.com/nikon/d5300/cheat-cards but at 10USD each it's a bit too much (Europoor here) for just a PDF file.
If someone has a torrent with all of these cheat-sheets or know where I can download them for free I'll be very grateful!
>>2995043
why?
All cameras work the same way, you just have to learn photography in general, not a specific body and lens.
>>2995048
I like cheat-sheets.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>2995043
I can teach you EVERYTHING on those cheat sheets.
It's called the exposure triangle.
aperture - the smaller the number, the shallower the dof, the more light that gets through to the sensor.
shutter speed - how long the sensor is open to light for, most cameras range from 1/8000 to 30s, the faster the ss, the less motion blur.
iso - sensitivity, the more you crank it up, the shorter ss you can get, at the expense of noise and dynamic range. Your camera will take clean shots up to around iso 800, and shots plenty good for facebook/web up to 3200.
So now you know what each of the 3 variables in photography do, now learn stops. A stop is a doubling or halving in light and are always equal (the difference in exposure between 1/4000 and 1/8000 is the same as the difference between 20 seconds and 10 seconds)
Doubling/halving is easy to grasp for shutter speed, as time is a familiar thing, 1/50th to 1/100th is 1 stop darker. For iso each stop is again just a halving/doubling (iso 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 are all 1 stop increments). And finally for aperture, the notation gets a little funky, but can easily be remembered, again, each of these increments is a 1 stop difference; 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16. You may be thinking "wow, that's arbitrary" but can be remembered as just 2 sequences of numbers doubling starting at 1.4 and 2.
So now you know ALL 3 parameters that can be changed on a camera, and these 3 parameters can be found on EVERY SLR camera, ever, even back in the film days. But how is it useful to you?
Well, because we get instant reviews on digital, it's a great way of improving your shot. Maybe your camera suggested 1/50th at f5.6, iso 100, but you're shooting a fast moving object and you want to get rid of the blur, so we can increase our ss by 1 stop (to 1/100) and reduce either the aperture to f4 or increase the iso to 200 to increase the exposure by 1 stop so we're back to the "correct" amount of light hitting the sensor.
Does everyone in here going to college for a photography related major also get shit constantly for it? I'm not even going for a BFA, I'm a Photo Technology major, and I cringe whenever I'm asked what I'm going to school for because of what people will think of me for being in an 'art' school. I thought I could make a really cool career out of being a camera geek but I'm really not sure about my choices now.
Not really too related to what youre talking about but this seems like a nice place for me to about about this:
Not an art major, but took a photography class at my uni for fun. Holy shit did I luck out, my professor was great (as in, he's actually a top-tier pro whos had books and gallery appereances). Its so weird to see that I know more about digital photography technique than almost all "pro" photographers in my area who charge for photos.
I get what you mean, the first thing that they told us in my photo arts lecture is that we will know more about photography after our first semester than 95% of professional photogs. I don't really even consider myself a photographer, just kind of a nerd. It's weird how that works.
>>2994657
i actually had a great english teacher in college that basically said youre an idiot if youre going to uni for art related instead of fucking just do it. we watched the movie basqiat and shit was lit
I suspect my camera sensor is dirty. But it only shows spots on images when I focus on distances far. I tried with several lenses the same thing on all of them.

You're shooting f/14. It may not necessarily be dirty, but imperfections are easy to show up when you're shooting an aperture that small. Shoot at 8 or 11 or and they should probably go away.

The entire right side of the frame is distracting. Do a vertical crop of the left side and you'll see how much more impact the image has.
You've got two decent photos crammed into one frame. Like the first reply said it distracts from each other. Left side is definitely the better shot because of the more interesting subject and the water spray, but the right side would still be a comfy landscape of sorts. Maybe boring but still comfy.
Also I'm sure this wasn't a planned shot, so I understand not being in the right place at the right time. But if you had the ability moving in ALOT closer to get the dude and the crashing wave to fill the whole frame would've been really nice.
You could just crop it to more of a pano view to eliminate the excess waves that distract. Granted not a perfect solution, but it does give it a somewhat better perspective.

There are a lot of pictures that shows you the good spots for tourists snaps. Avoid crowdy places like Le Louvre or la place du Tertre (but are great at night). L'arc de Triomphe is a great spot for its aerial view, much like la tour Montparnasse. If you have a tripod, just wandering along the Seine will give you great spot with any bridges and the Eiffel tower.

It's called "street photography" around these parts.
It's time for me to get a new camera. Video is not important to me.
5D or 6D and why?
Similar photo quality. 5d can take more abuse, more focus points, 2 memory cards, and better video if you end up wanting it.
6d has been a solid full frame camera for me the last couple years but it has had a few shortcomings that I want. Needs better focus tracking of moving subjects, better audio preamp, better weather sealing, etc
I would love a 5d for photos and a c100mk2 for my video work

What's the best/your favorite example of handheld camerawork?
I think every shot is handheld. I don't know if its the period period alongside the handheld or what but its really mesmerizing. I've re-watched the bicycle scene so many times.
>>2992564
Also features Clive Owen. Didn't even think of that.
Russian Ark.
It's one 90 minute (more or less) uninterrupted take, all handheld, with fucking insane costume changes and set dressing. It makes Children of Men look like child's play, to be honest.

Don't just beg to be spoonfed. Try to figure this shit out. You want to learn to edit? Then learn.
What is it you like about these? What visual aspects of his style do you like?
>>2991828
OP, you're not going to get your photos to look like this with plugins or simple post instructions. The key to these is getting the lighting fucking perfect. You need to learn light.
They are high contrast and low saturated pictures that were taken with good lighting. You cant apply this to every photo you take and expect it to be good.
Just posting some filmscanns from my compact cameras. mostly contax tvs or g2 or fuji dl500
feel free to ask or critique and post images or whatever is on your mind.
