Go to countries ravaged by famine and war, take pictures, sell them to varying news sources before getting killed in a shell attack or beheaded on the internet.
Will it help if I take photos in ways people can't just easily see from their own perspective? Telephoto and macro shots?

This is a place to post about anything film related. Processing, scanning, developing, gear, etc is all fair game.

any must know tips and tricks related to bulk roll film?
>>3022322
Don't open it in daylight, only roll what you need, attach film leader in a changing bag/keep junk tips for maximum savings.
There's really not much to know.
does anybody know what type of camera this is?

Full frame film cameras with local shutter. Those are the worst in terms of quality. You're better off with a Sony xt2 mark3
mamiya rb67
6x7 is a bit bigger than full frame. Not sure what a local shutter is supposed to be...
Hi guys ! I do my own home process and sometimes, I have things like that (cf photo)
Do you have any idea of the cause ? Is it some light leak or a chimical issue ?

does this show up with just one camera or with multiple cameras? because the streaks are clearly spaced with the sprocket holes in the film I'm tempted to say it may be a light leak along bottom of the film advance in your camera. the teeth of the film advance mechanism are blocking the light leak intermittently which is what causes the "stripes."
>>3025526
In reality, I do home processing for others, and this is a problem I saw a couple of times. and twice with the ilford xp2 super 400... I don't think my tank is leaking and I home-process C41 films (XP2 super 400 is C41) without stripes. I don't know if an old film can do that or if the C41 ilford should be developped with a typical chemical...
(sorry for my bad english)

Really?
>>3024632
Well, I don't go around looking for it either. I'll probably notice it a lot now.
hey /p/
can you post examples of good composition?
I'm just starting out and find this is the thing I'm most self-conscious about.
On a somewhat unrelated note, I saw a photo here once of a wristwatch in front of a clock tower. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? thx.
It's ironic that beginners are most worried, by a wide margin, about composition when it's ultimately one of the least important things in a photograph. I speculate because it's the most abstract, and therefore most mysterious and esoteric, aspect of photography and a lot of newbies think that it's the secret to great photos because of it.
Here's everything you need to know about composition:
1) learn about perspective. you should be composing with your feet, not your camera.
2) don't put things in the center, unless you want to, and then make it a conscious decision.
3) composition is ultimately about the interplay of light and dark, near and far, and the creation of space.
that's it. now, shoot with only one focal length for the next four months until you learn to "see" with it without even touching a camera.
>>3010569
>le composition isn't important meme
nu-photography nonsens pushed by lazy street photographers who want you to believe images are all about the feelings you capture
form is everything
composition is king

ditch the nature shit homie. you aren't good at it and it's pretty obviously just stuff you shot on a couple of camping trips with your friends.
also, lifted blacks are a meme, but i guess it fits in with these edgy lifestyle stuff (muh hypebeast) that you're trying to evoke.
also, also. delete this photo from your hard drive and pretend you never made it.
"Nature shit" lol
That image is hardly processed, I don't think you understand
Would love to see what you are capable of anon

what's wrong with it? i like it very much
I kind of like the idea but I'm not sure whether its that much more effective or not. After using Lightroom for a few years with mouse and keyboard I've gotten used to it...
What do you guys think about this?
Would you use it or is this just a gimmick?
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/loupedeck-photography--4#/
We've had this thread before, and it really boiled down to "It's a cool gimmick, but is impractical for all but the most autistic power users who need fractions of a second shaved off".
Do they mean "detented rotation"?
>>3023300
It's like having click stops on an aperture ring vs. smooth turning.

Need to sell some film gear, I have two options:
1) Sell everything at once in a single listing
or
2) Sell everything individually, with the hope that each item will bring a bit more cash than all of them together
Thoughts?
>>3022707
Lenses and bodies are probably worth selling separately. Accessories, flashes, etc are probably best dumped in with a body, though.
Does the Sony A5000 still hold up? I'm looking at the A6000 but I'm currently poor as shit and can get a good deal on the A5000 with the kit lens and I don't have a camera right now, so if I get that I can just reuse the kit lens and other lenses I might buy and just buy the body when I can afford the A6000.
