Am I retarded or just retarded? I'm trying to get Lightroom with this method
http://free.appnee.com/adobe-cc-2014-2015-all-products-universal-keygen-crack-patch/
But I'm not seeing the same stuff on the instructions whenever I download Adobe CC (the Install, Sign in, Connect later parts, looks different for me). WTF am I doing wrong?
Yeah, here's a better method.
$9.99 a month and you get LR and PS all the most recent versions, don't be a cheapo pirate.
>>3028381
what if I cannot afford that due to third world subhuman standards?¿
Different guy here btw
>>3028381
OP here. I ended up doing that. I spend so much more than $9.99 in a week on bullshit, that little bit of money a month really isn't much
I recently was gifted three Nikon lenses. Can't delve further but know it's not theft. I'm looking into two options; 1. Get a film camera to utilize the lenses. 2. Get a dSLR <$1000 3. Get an adapter for my Canon dSLRs and not have autofocus or aperture control.
What should I do (selling them is NOT an option) and to #2. any recommendations given the budget?
Thank in advance

I'm a novice trying to improve my film photography
I live in Australia and I'm being ruined by film development costs ($20 - $30 per roll including scans)
I can't decide whether to keep forking out to the lab or start developing at home
what kind of tank should I buy? do I need stainless steel or is a plastic tank okay?
what do I do with the negs once they're done? do I just take them to a lab? that'll still cost me $10-$15 for scans
my plan so far is:
>using stand development technique
>placing the tank in a cooler full of water @ 20deg celsius
>Compard R09 developer and Ilford Rapid Fixer

fuck you man don't bump my thread
>using stand development technique
Don't do this, unless you really want to risk haloing.
>plastic vs metal
I like to use metal (Hewes) for 120 and plastic for 35mm. A pro with metal is that you can use it while it's still wet. A con with metal is that heat from you hands transfer more easily to the tank. Just be aware of that when you agitate.
>what do I do with the negs once they're done?
Put them in something like this:

This is the Film General Thread: "Long Exposure" Edition.
This is a place to post about anything film related. Processing, scanning, developing, gear, etc is all fair game.
Have fun! Remember, there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
posting here because new thread
Got my first rangefinder, a Hi-Matic 7s for about 4$. it seems to be in an "average-good" shape, shutter works in all speeds (seems a bit rough about winding, if i don't wind all the way up shutter doesn't fire) and it seems to even have a working meter. lens seems to be a bit scratched but i guess i don't gonna know how good or bad it is until a try a roll of film.
Also, the aperture and shutter speed rings are a bit hard to manipulate, are they supposed to be smooth? and being my first rangefinder, it is supposed to be so quiet?
My other 35mm is a rebranded Cosina C1 and certainly is loud when firing, with this one i think it makes more noise pressing the shutter button than actually the shutter working.
any tips here?
Anyone watched Azriel Knights latest videos? He's been doing experiments on agitation and I was quite surprised by the results. There was virtually no difference on the aggressiveness of the agitation (gentle, normal, vigorous), and then when he did the frequency test it turned out that doing no agitation makes for a pretty low contrast image, but the difference between normal agitation and continuous agitation was much, much smaller than you'd expect. This was with HC110 and TX400. Kind of throws into sharp relief how lenient you can be with black and white developing and still get a usable image.
The videos are a little long but the tests are pretty good, he shows the results at the end.

Could I get some thoughts on the Holga 120? Like why is it praised so much, even by people who don't fit the hipster mold?
>considering using film again after a long time, for some long exposure work
>research about different emulsions
>check flickr to see peoples results
>almost all photos are mundane, very boring, uninspired garbage, 90% is literal test shot tier
Here is one example, this is supposed to be a film for very "serious" photographers btw:
https://www.flickr.com/groups/1444945@N21/pool/
When I open a flickr pool of a random ancient or entry level DSLR I see much more decent shots. Why are filmfags, at least on flickr, so overwhelmingly bad? Also, why do non hipsters waste their money and time on analogue snapshits?

probably because they're much older and therefore more boring
there are still lots of photographers shooting interesting photos on film

depends on what you're into. I personally think bigheadtaco has a good balance of gear reviews and actually taking photos.
negativefeedback, matt day and nick carver if you're into shooting film.
the camera store tv is the only gear review youotube I can stand for more than 5 minutes. with tony and chelsea and art of photography in a close second.
the art of photography has good content as well but can be a bit drawn out and sometimes he rambles.
>>3021667
Thecamerastore and (old) digitalrev for reviews
Negativefeedback for comfy
Don't watch gear reviews, it just gets toxic and most gear videos are boring.
Are there any more channels like Digital Rev that's more focused on stupid shit and entertainment that actually being informative?
Hey, /p/ I'm thinking about getting an instant camera, should I get the mini 90 or wait for fuji to release the new square meme format this spring?
>pic related
Buying a real polaroid is also an option but the price of a pack keeps me away from it.
>>3019549
hate to break it to you but this is obviously just a regular photo with a shopped border. instant cameras generally have meh iq, unless you're shoointng pack film through a medium format or something.
wait for the sqaure, since hopefully they might get smart and release an actual camera this time around instead of the plastic fantastic, babby teir shit that instax has been so far.
>I type this as I cling on to my instax for dear life
>>3019555
Pack film is not that good either.
>release an actual camera this time around instead of the plastic fantastic
The point is to trick people into buy a cheap camera and waste money on film, isn't it?
>>3019549
I like the mini classic 90 alot and I would highly recommend getting one just to have fun with. I got mine as a Christmas gift and I have already filled up a few albums so far.
Now, I'm not a serious photographer so I am easy to please. It is far from perfect when it comes to film prices and the quality of shots but honestly I'm happy with it.
If money is not an issue I would get the mini 90 or if you would like to try out a cheaper option then you can get the mini 70. Costco has a good bundle for the 70 if you can find it.
Its just a whole lot of fun to take pictures and instantly share them with other people. Plus the photos have a charm to them that people seem to gravitate too. Maybe because we are so use to digital cameras and images now.
I'm going to pick up a Square when it comes out but I think there is room for both in any collection.

I finished editing this picture in Lightroom, and all is well except for a small problem at the bottom of the photo. You should notice it almost immediately. The bottom seems a bit distracting to me, but I'd like to know what other people think. Is it a real issue, and what are some ways that I could fix it? I'm very critical of my work, and I feel I may be overthinking it -

There are lens elements in there.
What you take out of the body has to be added back in the lens.
>>3027184

But it isn't?
Also there is a /gear/ thread, you should go shitpost there.
Hello /p/ I am doing all the research into buying my first DLSR camera, and narrowed it down to the Nikon d7100, or the d7200 - I also don't understand lenses that well if you guys can make it simple, i get the basics of dof relating to the f stop etc.
>>3026548
Disregard bodies, acquire glass.
If you don't know what youre doing dont waste your money on a 7 series Nikon, buy a D3300 and decent glass and learn.
I am set on that body dude, any ideas for lenses: portraits and landscapes!
>>3026575
then you're dumb.
It has a similar sensor, you're essentially just paying for bells and whistles that you're not good enough to fully utilize.
plus, spending more on a lens means you won't have to cheap out on the thing that actually affects image quality, not the same whatever cmos shit.
portrait lens: a 50mm will usually do it, could get an 80mm which is more dedicated to portrait.
landscapes you want a wide, maybe 28-35, or ultra like 18mm if you're into that. most zoom lenses go this low.
bear in mind because of the smaller sensor there will be a crop on all lenses not designed for that sensor, so if you buy a lens meant for a full frame camera, your image is cut off a bit.
