Sugimoto’s meticulously crafted prints are the result of a rigorous working method that includes extensive preparatory research, the use of a large-format view camera, and long exposures. Each of his projects is rooted in a sustained exploration of a singular motif and often carried out over many years.

Anyone here shoots polaroids?

i dont have anything to do with photography but i found an old 635CL in the basement and bought a few films. took 3 pictures by now

>one of my and my roommates
>one of a few friends of mine and me drinking beer
>one of a radiator my roommate broke and which is leaking water everywhere at this very moment

anyways, anyone here still uses them, for fun or so?

of all forms of photography... this is likely one of the most dead.
It's more of a form of novelty than anything now. Not only that but it is relatively expensive to keep doing it.

Is there anyway of getting the Silver Efex Pro 2 "Soft Contrast" or the Snapseed Noir "Wash" effect in Lightroom?

They're both developed by Nik, and essentially the same thing.
It's this type of contrast that makes the highlights soft and glowy, like overprocessed B&W film

I prefer to work in Lightroom but can't come close with it

Do you guys take your time composing your shot, thinking what you want in the frame, what angle would be right etc or do you just shoot and hope for the best?
13 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
depends on what I'm shooting for. snapshits I don't generally take time to prepare the shot, usually just basking in how I got a good picture out of a few taken when I go to edit pictures

I shoot manual everything on film. By the time I figure out the settings for the correct exposure there is no time to compose if I didn't miss the shot already. If I predict what I'm going to shoot and have the settings ready I try to get some nice composition. If it's something I can take my time with then I try getting a nice composition.

I usually just take photos while walking around the city. If I see something I want to take a picture of I look through the viewfinder and see if it's worth taking the picture. Sometimes things look good to my eyes but not in the viewfinder. Then when I get the final image it could be better or worse than what I thought.

If I was more selective I would probably have better photos but I just enjoy taking pictures. I often just take photos I know will be bad because I enjoy the experience of taking photos more than having nice photos.

Depends if I *have* time.
Sometimes, if I want to save time and don't know exactly what exposure I need, I'll just take several photos while stepping through different shutter speeds.

>buy a full meme frame
>lower fps shooting

>bigger, heavier, more expensive lenses
>less effective image stabilization
>next to no difference in low light performance
>no need to go ultra ultra wide because those shots are memes and panoramas exist
>bokeh bonus doesn't even do anything because shooting with just an eyelash in focus is a meme and I do portraits on my 135mm or 300mm
