>What does /p/ take when travelling?
I'm packing for a holiday and have changed bags - the ThinkTank Perspective Pro is rather brilliant if anyone was thinking about it - and so am doing a couple of trial packs. What does /p/ travel with? Light? Heavy? A lens for every occasion? A single prime? A pinhole obscura utilising a portable dog kennel?

It's a lot of fine detail with nothing to focus on, so your eyes just wander around taking in all the info at once.
Why do these fuckers refuse to finally make a proper mirrorless camera that's not retardedly small and can use all that tasty Nikon glass? Don't they want my money?
>>3086049
Because there's no benefit to full frame mirrorless at all
>>3086049
because they don't have the best sensors anymore
any mirrorless camera they introduce is just going to look like sony's retarded yellow brother
>>3086049
Mirrorless requires a shit ton more processing power than a dslr, nikon can't afford to buy sensors off sony and cpus off qualcomm and still be competitive.
Nor can they afford a litho-lab
Bye nikon.

you should suck if you want a VR into your 85mm lens
>>3084132
Because features for the sake of features isn't necessary, and just drives up the cost of an item.
You probably don't need VR on an 85 unless you're shooting video with it, but nobody is shooting video with a Nikon anyways.
Because Nikon hates its customers.
1) It is outdated.
2) Huge flange distance.
3) No electronic apperture, works with a mechanical workaround.
4) All those problems because muh compatibility.
Meanwhile Sony Master Race can use any lenses with a simple mount adapter.
well nikon has a legendary system of glass that can fit all of your needs, while sony has maybe three lenses at best
>>3083966
>3) No electronic apperture
What the fuck you talking about? What are G lenses?
>4) All those problems because muh compatibility.
What problems?
The only "problem" with the f mount is that it is harder to make fast AF lenses like a 85mm 1.2 or even a 50mm 1.2 that canon has.

Nope, stick to your hipster meme luddite lenses for your enthusiast tier cameras
Fuji Shooters got a gear question.
So I shoot with a X-pro 2 before that I was showing with a XT-1 (mainly held onto it for a back up body) I recently started getting some GAS over picking up a X100F..
This got the gears turning, should I sell the XT-1 and pick up the X100F or would it be a better bet to pick up a XT-20 I have a lot of XF glass and the XT-20 would take the place of the XT-1 as a back up body.. But at the same time I love the simplicity and rangefinder style of the X100F
>>3083254
Why not keep the XT-1 and just get a 27mm pancake to live on it? Doesn't seem to make sense to have an X-Pro2 and a XT-20
Since you already have an x-pro 2, I would get the x100f.
XT-1 and XT-20 seem redundant since you already have an x-pro 2 unless you really need something that can take your lenses.
If you really want to change your camera with something that can take your other lenses, I would get the xt-20 as a backup over the xt-1.
Myself, I also have an x-pro 2 but a lot of times i often bring my x100t or x70 out for a change of pace.
Fuji shooters are the worst gearfags.

The long exposure ones suck - they just remove detail from the water and make it blurry. The exposure wasn't long enough to get the cool effect you were probably going for.
How long did it take you to pick your camera system? How many did you go through before settling on one? Why did you rule some out?
Started with a Canon Rebel 2000 for high school photo class, which I still have. Got a t2i in college cuz I was mostly a vidfag and my camcorder was stolen so I figured why not take the leap. Perfect timing since magic lantern came out like a year later. Ended up using it for a couple years at a museum job and still have it.
Moved on to a Lumix gh2, also for video, though it takes pretty great stills to be honest. I made a 250 dollar rookie mistake and tried to install driftwood with a 3rd party battery that died half way through. Eventually got an EF speedbooster for it.
This year I got a fuji ga645zi cuz I missed film and I'm in love with the quirky beast. I'll probably get a gh5 in a year or two or depending on my financial situation some kind of blackmagic. Overall I've been more than happy with all my cams.
I only shoot with a Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7, mounted on a Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. I case more about low profile, portability, ease of use and fast focus than anything else. It provides the results I want, could not be happier with what's currently on the market.
I have a bungee cord camera, and with he light weight, it makes it super conformable.
I'm no professional by any means, so I can get away with whatever :D
