Can we get a homeless tier thread? Basically sharing tips and tricks on how to make things last long or cheaper and how to travel nation-wide or internationally for next to free with little money required
>>
>>624586
Get REAL good at sucking dick
>>
Why not? There's a fucking homeless loser thread every fucking week!
>>
>>624592
Wouldn't hand jobs be more efficient since you can use the store/market's restroom hand soap after a secession?
>>
>>624613
Have you ever masturbated with soap? It's already going to burn when you pee after you have a hobo, may as well not double it up.
>>
Protip: Suet blocks are really cheap, and even cheaper by the box. Grab ones with assorted nuts in them.
>>
>>625407
Birdfood?
>>
I snuck into a hospital and slept in a doctors office before. Wasnt a good nights sleep though because I was worried someone would come in.

Slept in bathrooms

Slept in open fields with nothing but branches to keep me warm

slept in public parks inside a cardboard box. Surprisingly the best nights sleep ive had rough. The box is comfy and has very good insulation.

Slept on a beach.

I can break into any building and sleep there, no problem, there is always a way in and there is always a quiet spot nobody uses.
>>
>>625428
Oh yeah I slept in some bushes too. V.bad do not recomend bushes at all.

Maybe il try sleeping up a tree sometime.
>>
Why don't we call these threads "The my parents won't support me anymore and I am too sorry/ good in my own mind to perform menial labor so I'm outdoors" threads?
>>
>>625746
there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a bum
>>
>>625759
Well shit! Now we need two threads:

>#1 I'm a bum, not because I'm a self-entitled, lazy, disrespectfull, no motivation, no goals, cheeto eating, red bull drinking, video game playing, porno whacking, kissless permavirgin who's parents are tired of supporting my lazy loafing ass, but because I want to be downwardly mobile and have no real prospects

>#2 all of the above, but without the self-denial and false rationalization about the truth of why you're a filthy, lazyass homeless bum leach sucking off the asshole of society

So yeah, I could see that.
>>
>>625809
I'm considering being homeless intentionally
>19
>live with family
>40 hour a week job
>20 hour a week second job
>pay rent
>buy and cook own food. Clean own clothes. Etc
Considering buying some land up in Maine. And living out of my truck until I can build a few small cabins

Does this count as homeless?
>>
>>625825
You aren't going to do any of that.
>>
>>624586
People still pick up hitchhikers. Get a regional field guide and learn your edibles. Make sure you get a fishing license and stay in forestry areas unless want to end up getting free food and a warm place to sleep for 3-5 days.

It helps to be willing to do odd jobs to cover basic expenses, and replace gear. Make sure you've got decent gear. Sleeping under newspaper in an alley hungry isn't as much fun (presumably) as sleeping in a hammock at the lake eating fresh fish and blueberries.
>>
>>625890
Actually pretty sure I am, trying to decide if I should build a log cabin and save money or if u should frame everything out. While I have a place to live. And power etc. And haul everything pre built but disassembled in my truck
>>
>>625935
Check out those micro houses on trailers. You could build one at your parents' place, then hitch it up and have a decent place to live as soon as you're parked. Then build your cabin, and use the tiny home as an in-law unit or rental so you can retire at 21.
>>
>>624586
There aren't really tips? What a shitty thread.

Overseas is cheap. 2 months in India for 200 bucks? Easy. Airfare is only 300 if you are prepared to die.

In the US you can usually hunt/fish/forage for any food anywhere you are. Just be knowledgeable and legal. Huge country. Lots of extra meat.

Here's the thing. If you are planning on being "homeless" and wandering the world, you need to discuss spend your time preparing and reading. Not asking 4chan for tips. You are off to a bad start. And I think even you realize that you will never even leave your house to start this adventure. I've been homeless. It's not fun unless you really get it. Just stop.
>>
>>625942
Suppose he does end up doing this, you'd have him go out with no baseline of information to start with? It took me decades of learning survival skills to get to the point that I'm at right now, and I still learn things from open discussion. Don't be an ads hold, his life could be dependant on the things he learns here today.
>>
>>625946
Honestly I just believe that he is too stupid to succeed and I'm advising him to give up right now

I might be assuming too much but I doubt it
>>
>>625938
That was my original idea. Behind everything. Then I checked out some guy on YouTube with a 14x14 solar cabin
I drew up plans. For a 14x14 cabin. As well as a 16x24 cabin

I can prebuild everything here for either cabin. And drive up. Spend one night in my truck and the next day throw up 4 walls and a roof. Tarp the roof for that night. And roof it the next day.

I've got close to 4 years of construction experience. And I like to think I'm half decent at what I do, not bad with a chainsaw and I have plans. For a huge wood stove. That would be great for heating a garage. Or even a house. If I took the time to set up some fans

Only thing holding me back is lack of extra money since. Im.paying a good bit for rent. Etc a
>>
>>625990
Rent is a bitch, for sure. If I were you, I'd move back in with the parents to facilitate building your structure, and save the rent, to boot. It would only be for a while, and totally justifiable.
>>
>>625970
He probably is an idiot be but you never know what a lurker might gleem
>>
>>625994
Oh I live with parents. But I pay them rent. Etc, I try to help out since money is tight. Plus. Paying 5-700 a month is easier. For me than laying 900/a month. Anywhere else here because everything else is stupid expensive

Only thing I don't have is a college degree. So I'm working my butt off to get some land. And a home PAid off by the time I'm 25 then il have 5k max.(grossly overestimating ) A year in bills etc
And. I can make that in 3 months and take the rest of the year off. Or work more and buy toys
Or maybe even ven save up and get a degree
>>
>>625999
Well, damn. I don't envy you. I haven't worked in almost two years, just spend as much time as possible at the lake, fishing and foraging and sleeping under the stars.
>>
>>626001
Sound like a good life, I figured once I have everything paid off I can take it easy , get a friend to live with me and split costs. Etc only work half a year max. And still be able to save money
What general area do you live in?
>>
travel for free you say? hop freight trains yo! haven't done it myself but seems like a good deal of fun/danger. google that shit
>>
>>626003
Inland northwest. Lots of lakes and forestry land, so I stay two weeks and then move to a new lake. Too cold right now, but I'm thinking next winter I'm just going to go south.
>>
>>626028
I intend to buy some acres in Washington that borders a park and live off grid. I'm not from /out/, does this kind of stuff get talked about here? Is this going to derail the thread?

Can you feel the wild calling, brother?
>>
>>624622
I masturbated with soap during my teen years (didn't want to look like a wanker buying/stealing moisturizer at a store) and never had an issue aside from skin drying up and eventually cracking (the soap stung like shit on the cracked skin though)
>>
>>626031
If I only had the money... I think that's most of out's dream, to not have to use someone else's land every time we want to get some wilderness.
>>
>>625825
>buying some land
>living out of my truck
>few small cabins
>Does this count as homeless?
No, it makes you a property owner.
>>
>>626252
You can be homeless and a property owner at the same time. You have to have a home to be homeless.

I'm a property owner. I rent that property out to people, live off their rent money, and sleep in my truck.
>>
>>626263
>have a home
*Lack a home
>>
>>625990
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qghZ2ao7GKM
this shit inspires the fuck outta me
>>
>>626270
Exactly the one I'm talking about. His music isn't half bad either , my plan for the 16x24 with a 20 by 32 loft. Is more like a small house. But its manageable. For me
>>
>>626280
nice
>>
>>626263
What's the land zoned as? How much do you have? What sort of process does it take to give someone the boot?
>>
>>624586
if i were homeless in an urban area, there's one thing that i would prioritize: having a clean outfit. combine this with a rack pack (a backpack with a T-shaped hole in it against your back) and you will have no problems food-wize. also when stealing it helps being white.
