I was curious as to what books you guys may have learned most from and your recommendations. Post your favorite survival book
as a krautfag i read one from a german author you probably don'T know.
but seriously. none of these authors re-invented the wheel. there are only so many ways to build a shed and only so many ways to start a fire.
what i'm saying: once you've read one survival book, you read them all. some goes with youtube videos

Yep, this.
However, if i had to make a recconmendation, perhaps the boy scout or eagle scout handbooks would suffice?

i keep an old boyscout handbook ontop of my toliet and browse it whenever im pooping. i assume i must be learned something through osmosis whenever i poop at home.

there is probably something to this but a lot of sources add new tips. i didnt learn the cotton ball and vaseline tip until about 3 years ago.

of course not every book shows every single trick there is to start a fire.
i assume OP is a beginner and for beginners i always recommend basics. basics meaning only a few techniques but those few explained properly. blast a newbie with 1000 thousand ways to build shed and he will forget all of them. teach him three ways, those three will stick.
my statement meant, that all survival authors there are will only teach these three basic techniques. there simply is no book with all tips and tricks because that book would be a billion pages.
Furthermore: do you really need the cottonballs+vaseline? sure it is nice to know but i bet your life does not depend on it.
don't get me wrong, i love watching youtube videos to learn to techniques but i am honest, i forget most of them.
of course i give my statements under the assumption, that OP is a newbie and for newbies i say: any book by any author will teach you the basics. for advanced stuff there are countless youtube videos.
as for a real recommendation for OP: the SAS sruvival handbook is mentioned frequently, so i guess it is worth its money. i never read it though

a whole thread for this question
