I'll be in Switzerland for a few weeks. Who can recommend some good alps to hike? Preferably something with a trail head near a train station and something that doesn't require technical gear.

AI could, but theres like several ten-thousand hikes. What are you looking for Dayhikes? Hut touring? Wild camping?
Here's a website with hike reports: http://www.hikr.org/region2.html and here is the Swiss topographic map and here's the SAC site which runs most of the mountain huts http://www.sac-cas.ch/

Postauto bus will bring you pretty much everywhere. and back. Most alpine villages don't have a train station but use the bus. Hiking in September can be pretty, mind the weather and the hunting season tho. Yellow marked trails are easy walking, red trails are hiking and blue routes are technical ascent only.
