Hey I am the newest of newfags and I've seen a bunch of threads about 72-hour camping and short-term bugout bags but nothing about INCH bags - anyone put one of those together or lived in woods longer than a week or so?

I'm using it as kind of a suicide alternative (hey, if I'm gonna kill myself anyway, might as well see how long I could last) or in the.... unlikely but conceivable situation where I'm a fugitive.

I'm also poor as fuck, so.

(pic unrelated but hilarious)

Questions that don't deserve their own thread.

How do I git gud at mountaineering? I have a long term goal of climbing Denali, solo if possible. I did King's peak this year in Utah by myself. I am aware that there is a huge difference in the challenge. I want to work my way up toward taller and more challenging mountains, but I don't want to get eaten by a crevasse our get stuck trying descend a cliff.

What skills and gear do I need? What mountains should I practice on?

I'm looking for new Sleeping bags for me and my gf. I'm tired of mummy bags so I'm thinking of switch to the Nemo spoon type. Anyone have any experience with them good or bad?

Also, anyone know if you can connect these spoon shape sleeping bags together?

I recommend Bald Rocks. I remember camping there somewhat frequently with my father when I was younger. Easy hike and the rocks are a unique land feature for that part of NY.

I wnat to start getting Calcium hypochlorite/Sodium hypochlorite for my water treatment and general cleaning instead of bottled bleach.

Anyone have any experience they want to share with specific pool-shock products?

You don't need to bump threads in /out/, it takes a few days for old threads to roll off.

We don't see a lot of threads regarding pools here, you may want to ask /diy/ instead, but check back here also, I'm sure there's a few people that use something other than bottled bleach.

Good luck OP!

Does anyone here know much about botany or some shit?
I had a bonsai and it got blown over by strong wind, being completely uprooted. Im wondering if it will survive being re potted.
Also, how would i go about breeding the tree? Do i like just plant a root of it or something? It doesnt have any seeds. I really don't know anything about plant reproduction.
I have a buddha belly fig if that helps. (Pic related, but isn't my tree)

I don't know if it will survive being repotted, but I can guarantee it won't survive outside of a pot.

If you want another plant, then the fastest way will probably be to get a cutting, look for a shoot like in pic related and cut it off with a very sharp knife and dip it in rooting formula and plant it in a sterile growing medium.

I would strongly recommend researching or at least watching a youtube video on how to do tree clones, as there's only so much knowledge you're going to glean out of a vietnamese silk weaving forum.
>>
>>1074981
Thankyou for your help.
Which shoot do you mean?
>>
Figs are a pain to breed, needing very specific conditions to produce fruit, and as a result seeds.

As for reporting, it should be fine. I use a nutrient rich, low nitrogen soil with a root retardant in it for my bonsai.
If you are in the northern hemisphere now is not a bad time to replant anyway, as your tree is in growth mode. Get it settled in damp soil and keep it slightly damp to touch for the next month and it should recover

You need to research USGS maps and any other geological source maps. That's the best way to find things that someone else may have been missing. Otherwise, you need to check out the IGS website:

Does /out/ travel with their Kayak at all?

Going to be driving ~1600 miles with my Kayak on my Subaru Forester and I'm looking for a good mount.

Some sell just pads that go on my roof racks while others use this hook system. Any anons prefer one over the other or have issue with one? Don't want to end up with my Kayak through someones rear-view windshield.

get the cheap amazon/ebay 20 dollar set of J hooks and secure it the right way. Then use bow/stern tie downs on tow hooks or use the hood and trunk/hatch loops like pic related.

You can buy a set or just make your own out of pcv pipe and some webbing, or use the webbing and an eyelet to secure the strap to a bolt/screw under the hood.
>>
>>1074437
also want to add, get a pair of ratchet straps as opposed to the cheap lashing straps that come with the kits. Wouldn't trust those for long trips.
