Open ended, indefinite, round the world bicycle tour funded by blog and youtube videos.
Try to not suck so much at snowmobiling.

Do more racing, either dirt or snow. Might give snowmobile hillclimb racing a shot this year.
Travel across Europe/Middle East on a motorcycle. See the pyramids, Darvaza gas crater, and enjoy some mountain twisties.
Just got hired as a parks worker here in nz so that's one down (19, been doing construction/storeman type jobs since leaving school) other one is get to a level of skill and emotional maturity where I can spend a month living self sufficiently off the land, at this point in fiordland.
I need insulating layers and general use pants for hunting and other things this fall/winter.
I'd like to find this stuff as cheap as possible as I'm losing weight and won't fit into this stuff next season.
I'll be doing a lot of hiking but also a lot of sitting in 20-30f temps.
For base layers I'm just going to find some cheap merino.
For pants I was thinking midweight nylon ones.
I don't know what type of insulating pant I'd need or how to layer pants.
A decent jacket with some insulation and material that won't rip easily because of branches and stuff would be great too.
Any recommendations for specific items, advice on layering, or just general advice would be much appreciated.

Garcinia Cambogia.
3 months, changed my intake.
34" waist to 32".
Now it's just discipline.
OP GO! Right now, I'm loving Mossy Oak High Country pattern.
I posted on /out/ last year asking what these were.
My dad found them in Nevada.
You guys told me they were probably clay beads that fused together when they were fired.
Now I'm wondering if they are possibly very tiny concreations?
Here is an example of concreations formed during the ice age.

I'm going for a 3 day milsim, and I need an android app for offline maps, with decent zoom, and satelite view, one that will show coordinates too. There are several choices, any suggestions? Personal choices?
>>879358
What choices have you found so far?
>>879388
People who go there suggested Custom Maps

and gave me a .kmz file with terrain of operations, I'm trying to get it to work.
Get a cheap lumia phone
I downloaded a complete uk map on mine from the windows App Store all free and works off line
The lumia isn't much good for anything else but for use as a cheap gps it does the job
So there is a small island on a river by my house, the island is probably about .5 square miles in total area or so. I've visited it a bunch of times on my canoe.
This weekend I'm going to stay there overnight with some friends, and I want to see what kind of wildlife I can identify there. So far I've seen some birds there, but other than that nothing.
I've never tracked animals before, so I have no clue what to look for. Also not expecting to see anything other than squirrels or other small varmints.
Any tips?
Don't let the Jinn get you

Not too concerned, I've stayed there before and it was surprisingly unspooky.

What's a basic size fishing rod for both peir and shore fishing? And does the rod have to be specifically for salt water?
>>879089
If you get a freshwater reel and fish salt with it, make sure you clean it really well afterwards because the saltwater will rape the bearings.
It's kinda hard to do all-in-one, depends what you will get off the pier. A 7' MH rod with a 3000-4000 size reel should work but you will be limited to bass and catfish in freshwater and it should handle decent sized stuff off the pier. You aren't going to be casting any panfish lures very well with it.
I guess another option would be to get two spools for the reel so you could run 6lb or 8lb line for freshwater (you will have like 200yds+ tho) and then put heavier line for the pier on the second spool.
It depends, what are you trying to catch?
>>879089
Does it really matter what kind of rod I'm using if I'm just doing it hoping to only catch one fish all day
Is it bad I really enjoy casting more than anything?
Hey /out/ I'm looking for sinkers for peir fishing and for current. I've herd I'm supposed to use these sinkers ( pic related) but what does /out/ use? And what ounce number?
>>878994
I use the one on the left for pier and surf (San diego- we get decent tidal forces and rip currents)
But the pic shows that you can be creative.
>>878999
Oh ya, weight depends on what's left in my tackle box but should depend on condition.
Heavier stuff just for stormy days.
Sinker form = place where fishing (sand, mud)
Weight = weather, current, line and rod test....
Just buy different kinds and test i dunno where you fish and the best way to learn is experiment not listening advices in 2chan
Has anyone tried or seen one of these new B and S generators?
since they have just a bit more power they are supposedly able to run an A/C unit.
Anyone have real experience with this?
They cost half what a honda does
>>878523
>supposedly able to run an A/C unit
>with 2200 watts
>which is usually peak rating, not continuous
unless it's an incredibly small A/C, it's not going to run it. Even a small rooftop camper AC will overload that gen on startup. Need about 3kW for those, 4kW peak/startup.
Good for everything else in a camper though - charging house batts, run small electric appliances, charge laptops/cameras/equipment.
It is parallelable, so two of them together will give you capacity for an AC.
If you're looking for a less-expensive option instead of honda/yamaha, i'd check out the generac units. I have an older ix2000... it works well. The newer iq2000's are even better, quieter, and add parallel capability.
If you're mainly using it to power an AC, i'd just buy a 3kW+ honda/yamaha unit.
>>878523
Nope sorry I stoped buying Bull & Shit products years ago.
>>878611
I have run a small window unit with a 2000 wat honda before but it did trip once in a while .
That one was 1600 continuous and this one is 1700 so I was hoping it was just enough extra to iron out the occasional tripping

Here's my first story of the season.
>sitting in the blind for a few hours.
>just after 8 am.
>"man, I ain't seen shit "
>eating jerky and drinking water to pass the time.
>seriously need to piss.
>grab an empty bottle and level my schlong with the opening.
>start filling the bottle.
>half way through, I turn around to see a 4 x 4 buck staring into the blind, trying to decipher the sound.
>pinch it off.
>pain.
>locking eyes with the buck, each of us on edge.
>trying to ignore the pain.
>standing there with a half full bottle of piss with my cock in my hand.
>dead silence.
>fart.
>buck disappears into the woods.

>"in the head"
>dad starts laughing bc I am apparently supposed to shoot them in the lungs
>still shoot them in the head to this day seems faster and easier.

Always wondered. Is it bad to shoot them in the head or something?
How can I do it, /out/?
I am too materialistic and my life is based on the approval of others. I am very self conscious and spend my money on frivolous comics and action figures only to post them on the God-forsaken website and get the approval of other people I will never meet.
When I am sad, I will often buy an item. A book or a toy or a comic book or a movie, only to be happy for a few hours and then I am back feeling dreary.
How do I learn to let go of my materialistic life and become like /out/? I want to be happy just walking down the street and being outside. I feel like being outdoors will also help me lose weight and that will help make me happy.
I am too concerned with what actor said what to whom. I am too worrysome about weather the latest film in my favorite series will pander so SJWs. I am too occupied in visiting every retail store in the area looking for that one action figure I want for my collection.
I need to give up this selfish, materialistic life I have been living
How can I do it, /out/?

/out/! I LOST MY AXE. I don't know where I lost it at either!
there are no flea markets where I live to find cheap used axe heads because my area sucks.
and I'm never gonna buy another crappy axe from the home improvement store that has a fucking head glued onto some shitty fiberglass shaft that ALWAYS comes lose.
but I don't wanna shill out 200+ dollars for a GFB. what are my options?
Get a friction fit axe aka a tomahawk. By design the head can't fall off the handle without you knowing.
>>877461
I would suggest looking over the axe thread with 200+ posts. It has a lot of good info.

Get this.
Well, primarily seasonings in my circumstance. I've tried looking for a multi-season holder for my own custom blends; something modular I can easily reuse. Haven't been able to find one unfortunately, so I'm considering just some tiny glass vials instead and pack them away in one of the many small cases I have. Unless someone here can give me a good alternative, or provide what they carry their seasonings in.
>>877290
I'd say go with some small mason jars. Not the ones with the latch, but the ones with the screw on top. Probably too big for what you want, but it's a good seal.
>>877290
Why don't you look for something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Moyishi-Clear-Silver-Aluminum-aluminum/dp/B00MDBZ266/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1476668499&sr=8-3&keywords=metal+jar
A container like this could be found in all sorts of places. Just take a sharpie and write the seasoning name on the lid.
I don't know if I'd even bother with glass vials desu senpai.
>>877302
A 4oz mason jar is good for pre-mixed seasonings, or if you want to prep seasonings in bulk.
Can I ask whats wrong with the jars with the latch tops? I got a couple of these style in about 3oz size from a local place. They seem to do the job well enough. For $1 each if the seals go bad in 5 years I won't feel bad about tossing them.
Are there any clever things you can use empty soda cans for in a bugout bag? I have a ton of them.
