I have relatively cheap pellet rifle (Ruger Blackhawk Elite) I haven't gone hunting with yet an I have actually never gone squirrel hunting and would like some tips, also, how do I carry dead squirrels? I see people with them hanging off there bodies from the tails but I can't really apply to real life. Sorry for sounding like a jack ass just give me some answers.

Blackhawk elite is actually a decent little squirrel rifle at 1,200 fps, so you're good there. As for carrying them home, get yourself a bird bag like pic related, the pouches, particularly the large one in the back, are for carrying upland game birds like dove or quail, but will work for squirrels too. As for hunting tips, your best bet is to find an area that has a lot of squirrels, just sit quietly for a bit and you will see them, take a bag of peanuts with you, use it to bait them about 10 metres from your shooting position, then just wait. Or you can always just creep through a woods trail and shoot whatever you see. If one falls but isn't instantly dead don't go after it, they will run and hide in a hole where you won't be able to get to them, just give it a few minutes to die, I have even seen ones with broken spines run fast and climb a tree. Good luck

I have half a dozen squirrels in my freezer now, I just bait them on my back deck, shoot them with a either a bear brave bow, crossman slingshot, or crossman vigalante CO2 bb pistol. Got this guy a few days ago

You would need some serious drainage.

Would this be on a hillside, or flat ground?

Maine is fucking horrible. Hipsters everywhere. And everything is so condensed. There is practically no outdoor space. But the swimming is fantastic. Open, sandy, warm beaches.

Try using bing.com an searching "im a fucking retard"

Think about a situation where you are forced to remain in a room for the next 3 years.
And you have a nice 50m2 room/bunker with 2.5 meters in height.
Assuming there isn't any nuclear danger.
You got solarpanels that can produce 5kWh max and a battery that is capable of storing 85kWh
You got a storagesystem that is limited to 5TB in total storage, you can choose the type of media it's stored on. You can use multiple types.
Tanks of sorts (water, waste water, compost, gas,...)can be placed outside the room but you can't access them directly, so you must use pipes to get access to it's content. But also the containers are limited to a size, at max a container can be 2000L

Main things to think about is:
1) Food production/supplies
2) Water filtration
3) Power consumption
4) Comforting enviourment for staying in for 3 years.
5) Assuming there wouldn't be much left of sociaty, try storing some cultural information on your storage system.

Thank you.
I hope you guys appreciate it more than /g/ did.

storage is cheap these days. you could literally dump tons of movies books on nothing. couple 1000 hours of TV broadcast. hundreds of games. by the time you realize whats going on, three years are up.

So I remember I caught one of these and the guy next to me says to throw it back, he called it a Mother in law fish. I he also told me that saltwater catfish are venomous, which surprised me, I didn't know.
Any ways I wanted to know what fish should be chucked back, or at the very least use as bait.

Saltwater cats are not venemous like a snake, but their barbs ahave venom like every other cat. But channel cats have the most venom.

how do i into hunting /out/?

a buddy (well maybe not that good of a buddy because he won't take me hunting with him) of mine brought me some deer meat and it was delicious.

i don't care about trophies, but if i could stock my freezer with a couple dozen lbs of red meat for the price of some bullets and a tag, that'd be swell. how do?

Yeah. If you're doing things legal and on public land, there is a considerable time investment involved in most places.

Want to set up on a beach for a week this summer. Problem is finding a place that's not crowded and with trucks running up and down.

I'm new to the outdoors thing. What are some general rules of thumb to keep out of trouble? What are some of the laws I might want to know about? Other than the obvious. I know it will vary with local laws based on location, I'm in the US by the way.

How do you get your foot in the door in the mining industry? They make great money, and working the two weeks on two weeks off shift in a remote location would be a really cool experience, especially since my friend said he would do it with me.

Has anyone here ever worked in a mine, I'm mostly interested in Canada and Western Australia, since I'd like to go somewhere adventurous. But I realize I am also not in a situation to be incredibly choosy. If you have ever gotten a job as a miner, or know someone who has please share your experience.
