I dont know which engine he got but the V6 diesel can put down 410 ft/lbs torque. Thats plenty good for a truck that size and more than a ford 5.0. Its about the same power as the ram 3.0 ecodisel.

Probably wont win any acceleration races though but it has torque and thats what matters in a truck.

The 5.0 ford would handily beat it in a race though.

That is F-150, which is a large pick up truck. Amarok is more like medium/compact pickup truck. Like Ford Ranger.

People talk too much shit about Volkswagen or VAG in general. The cars aren't to everyone's taste but they are really good in general. I've driven several VWs with the 2 liter turbodiesel, the engine is awesome in terms of fuel consumption and reliability (if driven correctly, talking about not going wot with a cool engine letting the engine run a while after driving). I doubt that the v6 will be any different. Also the general quality of VWs is at least nice. He didn't fuck up in any way.
