Mr2 is better unless you plan on having a death machine by buying a fiero that's had a v8 swap, or you plan to swap one in yourself. Even then, you can just turbo an mr2 easier.

I was looking into buying a used car and the sticky is old af so I wanted more recent advice. I want a reliable car with a low amount of miles (under 120K) for around 5K. I wanted to know what I should look at. I've found Saabs can be had for cheap, and I've heard they're reliable. What other cars should I look at?
I was looking at this earlier:

Whats a good cheap simple audio upgrade for a 2011 crown vic police car? The speakers my car came with suck balls and have no bass. makes night riding on the back roads kinda sad.
I was thinking of going to a pick and pull and nabbing some speakers from a town car or something. They would have to have a decent audio system because they are premium edition stuff, right? and arent these panther body parts pretty interchangeable?
Just buy cheap aftermarket replacement speakers online. Even a towncar still has junk paper cone specials.
I put Infinity 5x7's and Clarion CX502 in my Mercury Mountaineer. Bluetooth, aux, usb and amazing sounding speakers.
If you have the $$$, run an amp to the speakers, and get component speakers instead of coaxials.
And a nice 10" sub and a modest 250 watt amp fulfills the audio spectrum. Regardless whether you wanna bump rap or EDM or play blues or country, you need BASS
>crown shit
drive it as fast as you can into a wall, that should fix it
Alright, my aunt wants to get rid of her Tahoe and downsize slightly but wants dat MPG. She's pretty badass and active, kayaks, paddleboards, mountain bikes, and brings her dogs. She travels across the US and parts of Canada. 4WD or AWD must. She also has a Class A motorhome and a CJ7, those are taken on the mega trips, but needs a smaller road tripper too. She was looking at a Traverse or Equinox, I really didn't know how to respond. I mentioned Subaru Outback, but I think she wants to stick with American.
WOW BUMP YOU STUPID KIDS

how do people get salvaged cars and sell them for cheap
looks like you can get the car for 200$ and sell it for 1000$
you need a chunk of land and a bunch of them because you won't make very much money selling one car, one piece at a time
are you really so thick you needed to start a thread about this?
>>17222538
If you're thinking of fixing a car with a salvage title, you would need a shop. The full ability to cut one end of the car off, and weld on a new end. The only reason why anyone makes money doing it is by owning a shop, and having the mechanics work on it during down time. Also, it's never going to be a $200 wreck, but a fairly new car that has some value.
Most of the time, it's like >>17222569 said. They sell parts off the wreck, then scrap the rest. That's what I'm doing with my wreck, but not making a profit, just easing the loss.
>>17222569
you need more than land you need buy the salvaged car from the insurance company that totaled it.
Allright b/o/is,
Britbong here living in Turkey stuck in a conundrum. Im planning on buying my first car soon and have a budget of around 23,665 USD or approximately 85,000 TRY in this country. I could opt for a brand new Honda Civic (The barebones non turbo model) or I could get a reliable car. Im not too fussy about it as long as its under 150,000km's mileage, fairly reliable and has four seats with a mileage of above 25mpg. I want something fun to drive but that can handle fairly crap driving from a novice such as myself.
The challenge is as follows.
Use the absurd used car site below to discover a good car from the craigslist equivalent for turkey below.
Bonus points for japanese cars.

All input and thoughts about second hand or novice car purchasing is well appreciated!
PS. Cars and fuel is extremely expensive in Turkey so try not to get fucked.
Goodluck
use money to go to america and live there instead
as long as you are not muslim it's ok
then you can buy cars here instead
>>17222190
Amusing thought but I quite like it here actually. Not going to put up some posh debate but living in Istanbul is a gem.

How expensive we talkin?
I have a NB miata for 2 years and was looking for an upgrade. I search quite extensively for my next car and settle on a S2000. Today I went to drive one and it did not impress me at all. The car is definitly faster and feels more refine, but doesnt give me the thrill I have on my miata.
I am starting to think the s2000 is seriously hyped up. Anyone else have the same opinion?
i thought the same about the saturn sky.
i did like the miata more.
why not just upgrade the miata?
