Would you buy a car with a 400 hp V6?
I'd prefer a 400HP inline-5
For my normal purchase price of <$2000? Sure. My fox only has about 340 and chances are the car youre talking about will be a fuckload comfier.
No because I know it would be pushed to its limits on a daily basis. I rather have a 400 hp v8 since it has some breathing room.
can't beat the v6 sound tho
there is a cars and coffee meet up on saturday may 27th at 8:30-11:30am at the starbucks located at 9791 Vista Way, Garfield Heights, OH 44125
there will be some pretty high end cars as well as some nice easygoing people to chitchat with
this is a picture taken of some cars that were at the prior meet
Is there going to be any Scion tC race cars or imaginary 650hp Evos? Those are my two favorite cars.
Alright /o/, my friend wants to do a project car this Summer. How feasible is it for 2 dumb asses with no experience to swap an RB20 into a 240sx?

unless you have a very good guide and or are competent electricians, don't do it
wiring and electrical problems will fuck you up good even with cars of that vintage even when the mechanicals are straightforwards
think very carefully so it doesn't join the craigslist abandoned projects graveyard
>>17272328
mechanically it's easy
if you're not good wiring guys, or not sure
budget for a wiring specialties harness. so if you can't get it to run just order and install. it'll also be new and not brittle old shit like the stock harness

Lets be on the real... Do you think autonomous cars will ever see the light of day? do you think we will eventually be banned from driving cars?
>>17271181
Yes and yes
Elon will make it happen
Elon will save us all
The only people who think "manually driven" cars will become illegal are just stupid reactionaries
But sure self driving cars will probably become very prevalent in the future and the world will be a much better place because of it
>autonomous cars
Yes and please. I hate city traffic because retards accelerate so slowly from lights and only 2 people get through out of every 5 that should.
>banning non-autonomous
LOL no.
So I own and drive an 04 Chevrolet Avalanche and live close to a local drag strip that I just now found out has nights where you can drag race your own vehicle, all it has to do is pass a NHRA inspection and looking at what is required I have no idea if it could pass as it. Anyone that can help me cut through all this.
I think when I was looking into it, in order to run it, you need a 5-point harness seat, and a roll cage.
On top of the obvious standard road worthy conditions like functioning brakes and a non-leaking engine.
>>17270924
Most of the time those test 'n tune nights don't require a full-on inspection. They just check for some obvious shit like no leaks to a drip, all the lugnuts and studs in place, battery is tied down somehow, and a helmet for the driver. It's only competition nights where the full inspection is used.
>>17270924
by the look of it that avalanche has seen less snow and dirt than a life-sentence prisoner

Only relevant countries get good bikes.
Why don't car manufacturers just reproduce their classics?
>tfw no supras or skylines
>no chargers or challengers
>no ae86 etc
Because a car built in 2017 has to follow 2017 safety and efficiency regulations.

Pic related cabrio roof got a hole. Seal it with glue and paint it black.
Works like a charm.
Don't have a pic. I once shoved a glasses screwdriver into the bolt hole for an upper control arm to hold it together on an audi. so I could move it out of where it was parked to tow it.
Here's a pic of a fucked up car instead. They had to cut off the door with the jaws of life.

Shouldn't be any different than any other car you've driven. just don't do nothing stupid and you shouldn't even notice the extra power is there.
My girlfriend wrecked my 2010 Corolla, what now?
Estimated $4000 in damage, I find out today or tomorrow if they're fixing it or it's a write off.
GF has 9 years of car insurance history, I have 1.5 months, how fucked is my premium going to be?

Idiot.

Land barges, popular in the US until the SUV craze began.
Slow, wallowy and designed around maximum comfort. Usually found with plush bench seats, a 5.0 litre vee ate producing 150hp and a 3 speed slushbox.

The father of a guy I know managed to get a 12L Buick for $7,500, with those fucking great couch seats in both the front and the back. Pretty sure it was at least a 6 speed gearbox though, no idea on the make or model.
I'm jelly as fuck, 'cause those cars basically don't exist in Australia. They're so fucking comfy, and he got it really cheap.
If you're watching old movies it's because they were extremely common at the time. The old Chevy Caprice and Ford Crown Victoria look like that, and were both used as police cars and taxis for like 30 years (that particular body style).
