>General Motors Co (GM.N) was accused in a lawsuit on Thursday of rigging hundreds of thousands of diesel trucks with devices similar to those used by Volkswagen AG (VOWG_p.DE), to ensure they pass emissions tests.
>The proposed class-action lawsuit covers people who own or lease more than 705,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups fitted with "Duramax" engines from the 2011 to 2016 model years.
>It said GM used at least three "defeat devices" to ensure that the trucks met federal and state emission standards, even if they generated more pollution in real-world driving. The complaint was filed in the federal court in Detroit.
EVERYONE is cheating on emissions, it's just a matter of who gets caught and when.
If all these cars actually met the standards set by people who know fuck all about cars, nobody would buy them and they'd all just get used shit that actually runs and drives well.
>emissions was a mistake
There's no such thing as new carbon.
>i have a shitty chebby wit a DI gas enigne
>its only a matter of time before i get monies

Seller is a Porsche/Audi dealer. 1 previous owner who actually purchased it brand new at this same dealer. CARFAX shows that it has been serviced there its whole life.
I'm guessing my trade-in would get me somewhere between $8-10k, so I wouldn't really be financing that much. Is this completely retarded, or would I be okay as long as I make sure to pocket some cash for unexpected maintenance?
Is that the 4.2 V8 or 3.0 supercharged? The 3.0 is the more reliable of the two and if the owner kept up on maintenance it shouldn't be too bad, although if it does need some major repair you'll get shafted because lol Audi.

It's the V8, but it sounds like these newer FSI ones don't suffer from the same timing chain guide issues as older S4's. Just carbon buildup which needs to be cleaned fairly regularly.
the perfect car doesn't e-
Yes it does
Stop it OP, why do you have to remind me that I will never own such a perfect luxury grand tourer?
Can't argue with that. here's another contender.

if you dont care why did you watch it and post it
Nit even gonna give the video a view, but rich parents are allowed to buy their kids nice things, and even if you grow up rich you can appreciate a gift and not treat it like shit. Good for them to be out driving them and not just parking them in a garage to depreciate.

What do you think about the idea of someone starting a car company that makes affordable Japanese 90s era sports cars using original parts from the respective manufacturers of the originals from the 90s.
I think it's a great idea what won't turn much of a profit.
>>17274428
I think they wouldn't be affordable anymore, because if you adjust for inflation those cars costed the same as "overpriced" cars like the GT86, and wouldn't be any cheaper if newly made.
>>17274431
It could certainly be made affordable compared to the very few choices you have in that market.
Post /o/ related wallpapers.
