is there a benefit to buying a classic truck as opposed to something late 80's mid 90's? other than styling. i'm wondering if the catalytic converters and ethanol gasoline placed in modern trucks make the car less reliable.
i'd like to pick up a classic truck on the cheap, however that's harder to find than a cheap/reliable 90's toyota or chevy
Which one should I get /o?

Whatever you do, do not get a Ford Ranger.
This car would have been known as a cheap and slow shitbox with good handling and would just be another rusty abused shitbox if it wasn't for initial d
Now it's one of the most iconic cars in history
>doesnt know about its racing heritige
>rally
>circuit
>already had following before muh Vietnamese cartoons

This. The AE86 was chosen for Initial D BECAUSE of it's racing heritage, and realistically, Initial D is just Shigeno writing/drawing glorified fanfiction of Keiichi Tsuchiya. Their cars are nearly identical colorwise.
The MR2, the AE86's sister car, is almost exactly identical to it except for one key difference, mid-read engine, that also contributed to it's greatest weakness, snap oversteer.

>>17276838
what do you mean by functional?
used 335 use the rest of the money on tune/mods and repairs.
>>17276838
There are alternatives
>Civic Type R
>Focus ST
>BMW 135i
Rolls Royce sweptail, one off RR that is 13 million
that is a well executed boat
in the past not so much
>The Stinger stickers at 35 million won ($31,000) for the 2.0L gas turbo model, rising to 37.8 million ($33,500) for the 2.0L Platinum trim version. Models equipped with a 3.3L twin-turbo V-6 starting at 44.6 million won ($39,600) for the basic Masters edition and 48.8 million ($43,300) for the GT.
I would thought it would be a bit cheaper
>Mustang GT money
>doesn't even have a V8
DOA
>$40K for a fucking kia

I'm from Europe and I REALLY fucking love squared US-type licence plates. Government in my country doesn't let me randomly get US-type plates unless I have absolutely physically no way to put Euro format plates on my car (i.e. the plates need to be bent or frame holder/space is too narrow/small). And even if I want to pay additional shekels - they still won't give me just because I want to for aesthetic reason. Fucking jews.
Pic very related. Don't tell me it doesn't look better than Euro spec.
There's an easy explanation for that.
You like big butts.
The tiny plates make the butt look bigger than the enormous Europoor plates.
a lot of American car guys wish they could run a jap plate or euro style
grass is greener etc
>>17276427
I do prefer bigger butts. But you must admit - US format plates objectively look better on 99% of all cars. It changes to a more aggressive look and "reduces" unnecessary size. Fucking Europe, get your shit together. I understand using "wide" plates, but why restrict it only to them? Why don't I have an ability to get small (US) plates whenever and for whatever reason I want?
Pic related - just look at this juicy ass. Euro plates make it look like piss.
Why is do they suck hairy balls when it comes to customer service and parts accuracy?
you should use rockauto more. fool
>>17276305
Becuase they're not paid enough to give a shit, and you should be able to be smart enough to use a computer yourself to get what you want.
Hell you can order the part online then pick up from the store, no need to talk to $500 and an afternoon behind the counter.
