ITT: Post your car and what nickname you gave it, maybe also a reason behind the name if you have one
(I'm shopping for pic related at the moment and trying to find a suitable female name to give it)

What does /o/ think of chemical guys?
Is any of their stuff worth a fuck?

Doesn't ring a bell.
I only know Chemical Brothers

Some of their stuff is great like the citrus car wash otherwise they are overhyped. They make decent products all around, can't go wrong with them.
They make a lot of bullshit, but they also make really nice stuff

Is this Honda's biggest flop?
Hard to say between this, the new NSX, or their failure to compete in F1 and Indy
>>17291030
>no vtec
don't need vtec if the cams are aggressive.
>>17291030
Atleast Toyota pulled their asses out with something, sure the 86 is slow but it's still something, on the other hand Honda haven't made anything good in years.
How come people prefer the ecoboost over a V6?
slightly more horsepower and loads more torque.
>>17291007
Because the V6 is shit
It's pre-turboed.
alright /o/tists, I need your help finding my next car.
I'm a firefighter/emt and my car is my response vehicle from wherever I am to the scene, and my beloved 9c1 Impala is dying. frame is rusted through and the trans doesn't like first gear anymore. the real question is what is a compelling replacement that has:
>fwd or awd, awd preferred bc snow
>sedan
>fast acceleration, don't really care about top end
>auomatic (because the peons moving my car can't into stick)
>won't look stupid with a 49" lightbar on the hood
is there anything other than a legacy GT that will do the trick?
>>17290428
meant lightbar on roof, not hood
>>17290428
Buy a 3k civic
>>17290439
this. and dont put a faggy lightbar on it and get a manual. why are these faggots driving your car anyway.

If you ride in the city it should be fine. Once begineer bikes fully depreciate they hold their value because people will want to start on them. If you need to ride on the highway alot you should get a 600. You would need to practice alot in an open area with no traffic until you fully understand the clutch and throttle response. Only you can decide if you want to start on a 600 or something else.
>>17290576
Very smart thinking. I feel like 250cc is the perfect balance to me and its mainly for the city and short trips. Im mainly worried about the high amount of kms on the bike. Or is that just me?
>>17290384
for 2000 canadian pesos that's a good deal, assuming it isn't bashed to hell. You should get that money back when you resell it for something bigger
ITT post the oil grade(s) in your car(s)
5W-20
Castrol Edge Titanium, specifically becauae it had a very low NOACK and TEOST value. Ecoboost engine so I want minimal carbon buildup.
Would anyone use this on a 20k a year commuter car?
>>17289457
5w-30 and 10w-40
Is there a car you want to own and lovingly care for even though you know it's an underperforming shitpile backed by an image worthy of being called criminally misleading and a joke that it was brought to market in the first place?
Pic related for me
Well memed
I kinda want a brz as well. I wouldn't mind driving.
I guess the closest thing I would want is a type R. Super hated already and it's probably overhyped by those who do like hondas and people think it's ugly but I really want one. I actually like the aggressive look, just wish it was a little less bubbly looking from the side.
I would like a 1966 Chevy Nova
I just think they look cool, I know they are shit though

So I'm looking at buying an e90 335i. How much can I realistically expect to spend on maintaining it?
Would it be any safer/less costly to maintain if I replace the water pump, thermostat and hpfp when I buy it instead of waiting for failure?
I understand the 335i can be expensive, but I can't seem to find anywhere which lists the scope of maintenance costs.
>>17286987
hpfp is under warranty for cars under 130k miles. water pump + thermostat is $500 if you replace them yourself. check for oil leaks, usually the oil filter housing gasket/valve cover gasket/ and oil filter housing to oil cooler gaskets get fucked at 60k+ miles. Stay away from high wastegate rattle if you can and treat your turbos well and they won't go out before 150k miles. N54's are more reliable than other bimmers if you aren't stupid.
You're given a million dollars to buy any car you want with a catch, it must cost more than 100k. Which car do you buy?

How fucked am I?
I'm a poor highschool student who can't afford a new car at the current moment (I work at McDonald's to give you an idea) and can't buy another car at the moment. I did a 180° when I drove too close to the edge of the road over/went over a shady wet spot, and hit a mailbox.
just beat it out with a hammer or something.
or drive it as is. you know you arent required to fix things right.
also you were pretending you were in an anime stop lying
1989 Mazda 323 Hatchback 1.6L 5 speed. I love this car.
Does your city/town have a road that you love to drive up/down?
I go up and down here every couple of days because I love it so much.
Yes. I need to get out there more often instead of spending the evenings getting drunk.
FDR Drive at nighttime is comfy. Daytime is shit and is full of traffic though.
>>17273511
Mulholland Drive.
I try to drive it at least every other day or so. It only has around 6 lights for its whole 15 miles, so if you can catch a time where it's fairly empty, you can really tear shit up.
Unfortunately, that's really only late at night or ass early in the morning.

Brit here. We never got the GT350(R) despite the Mustang eco-boost and GT being a massive success over here.
With the cars finishing production in 2018, and the future of the Voodoo V8 unknown, are dealers still charging $30,000 over MSRP? I'm tempted to take the plunge if I could get it for list price lads.
Yeah they are seriously marked up in the US too. I've never even seen an R just the 350 and that's still like $85k+ if you can find one. We went to a dealer that had a last gen Shelby and they wouldn't even let us inside. They said they can't even take the key out. Me and my friend both arrived in 6gen GTs so they knew we could afford it
>$90k
>for a mustang
At that point just buy a fucking Porsche.
>>17293662
So wait it out until the hype dies down once the GT500 is announced?
