Why do Americans put truck engines in their sports cars?
because they don't care about turning anyway
Why do europoors love getting blown up by Muslims so much?

Except they don't, unless you consider diesels to be sporty.

Hey guys, relatively new manual driver here.
I find that when I downshift it feels like my car momentarily locks up a bit and other times I don't feel anything. it feels smooth
what am I doing wrong? is my speed too fast for the gear I'm going into?
also how badly am I fucking my car up when I feel that locked up feeling
>>17323893
You need to either rev match or let the clutch out slower
>>17323893
transmission speed isn't synchronized with the engine speed. this differential causes the lurching effect you experience.
>>17323904
how bad is it for the car?
>>17323898
if I choose the release clutch slowly method does the car speed I'm going at matter?
Also when I shift down I do give the accelerator a bit of a jab but still sometimes get that lurch. does that mean I need to give it even more of a jab?
is it possible to give it too much of a jab? if so what happens and what is a sign that I have given it too much revs. does doing so fuck shit up?
How do you let cars rot like this , pic related

Dunno if it is actually the case here but in the world of music instruments I meet a lot of people who are too scared they're gonna break something or fix it incorrectly if they work on their equipment and so when it breaks, if they can't afford repairs they just let it rot in a closet.
>>17323726
You're the type of guy who sells two cars at the same time and takes four pictures of them from far away at a low resolution without putting anything in the description.
Probably some dumb wog who thought keeping cars as "investments" without maintaining them was a good idea. Either that or someone's grandparent was a genuine collector and has grown too old to look after them.
What does /o/ think about this concept?
I like where they're trying to go, but they have to drop that angry bumper. it's getting old

Hello my fellow car /o/wners, I'm looking for a new project car. I currently daily drive a highly modified Kia Soul (yeah, you can poke fun later), my project car however was a 1991 Miata..was because it is currently in a Police impound lot burnt to a crisp. A good friend of mine was driving the Miata and got rear ended from some moron texting and driving. When hit the gas tank ruptured and the rear of the car burst into flames while he went into a 180 spin to face oncoming traffic, hit from the front, did another 180 spin into the wall...needless to say the car is a completed loss including most of the aftermarket work done to it. My friend is doing well with just a minor concussion thank God and we have hired a lawyer. This is a testament to Takata harnesses as without them in the vehicle and the removal of the airbags from the car he would have been knocked out at minimum and according to the police likely ejected from the car. With that all said..I seriously need a new project car. I live in Phoenix Arizona so it's not rust prone which means older cars are definitely okay!
sounds like a pretty hektik way to kill a miata

I mean the license plate did say HAVIK
Do you think you were being punished for your soul?
Hey fellow /o/tists I have finally decided I need my own car. I want a rwd, sub 7sec 0-60 Just to make it a fun dd that I can also hit the track in. My budget is 6k. any recommendations?

Any ausbros got any experience with importing cars from japan? I've been browsing through jspec and there seems to be tons of low km good condition cars going up for auction all the time.
I've read for a car to be allowed to be imported it's needs to be completely stock, any other things to worry about?

lads, I have a decision to make, and I need help
my insurance is currently AAA, $160/mo. I'm with my parents so I'm not paying out the ass, but it's still pretty high. I've been driving for 3 years and I'm only 20 so I'd get raped if I were alone. They're switching to Allstate next month, and they offered me 40 per month, but I'd have to remove my name from the registration.
Sounds odd to me, but is it really a big deal to not have my name on the registration? If I'm pulled over will I be fucked?
>>17322958
>is it really a big deal to not have my name on the registration? If I'm pulled over will I be fucked?
No but it doesn't make sense unless they're lying on your parents application which would be illegal and I could report that agent to the insurance board and have their license pulled.
>>17323030
I figure since I'm newer that's driving the price of the insurance up, if I'm not on it it'll be as if only my parents are driving.
they said the coverage would still extend to me or anyone that's driving so it's bad is it?
>>17323071
>if I'm not on it it'll be as if only my parents are driving.
That's not the way it works. If you are still living in the house, they'll know. And if you are a regular driver, they'll know. And if you lie to them and they do an audit you'll owe any unpaid premium and/or they'll drop your policy altogether which will then go on your family record and will be visible to any new insurance company you go to for the next 5 years and will be factored into your new premium.
Why are you trying to break the law?

What are other large comfy cars?
You can see the horrible Maco paint on the driver door. That thing was a patrol car. I believe everyone should try out a Panther but they have zero resale value. Get it as cheap as possible. I'd say $2500 at most.
>>17322810
hell no. buy a civilian panther, ls400 or ls430. post your local craigslist.

Why doesn't Tesla make a comfy wagon so I can camp out in it???

Unless you're camping out inside your garage I don't see what that has to do with anything.
