Normies can't tell a 318i from an M3. And in countries outside of Yurostan standard plates tend to fit poorly in European vehicles. Over here if you get Euro or Jap styled and sized plates you have to have something custom written on them.

That being said, what would you get on custom plates? Surely not some variation of your name like cashed-up gooks do.

check one out today

unimpressive materials
soft seats, though
dash is just vinyl or whatever with an iPad taped to it
2row not suitable for 6'2" man neither headroom nor legroom
3rd row is as small or smaller than other 3rd rows, not for adults or big kids

i am disappoint

your insight? commentary? jokes?

Same as you pretty much. It's a sub-premium car with a premium pricetag. BMW, Mercedes, Porsche all have superior interiors.

At $100k I would expect leather on everything, not just the seats.
>>
>>17850272
just how fat are you? the x I've been in was pretty spacious in the rear.

>>17850299
Tesla doesn't put leather in its cars as of a couple months ago.
>>
>>17850272
My wife has one.
It's not too bad, comfort-wise, although I find the massive amount of glass in the front makes it heat up quickly.
I'm also 6'2, and have no problem with headroom, but I never sit in the back.

GM fangirls need not apply.

Is it a good idea to buy a previous rental Car? There is a 2016 camry SE that I was looking. Fits right within my budget and is from a franchise dealer (Honda). But it is a rental car. What is /o/'s take on this

I wouldn't.
Rental cars tend to be thoroughly abused, and frequently get insufficient maintenance.

As someone who has rented several cars in his life, no.

No one treats a rental car nicely. The last one I had was a Chevy Cruze in 2014. I abused it so horribly, flooring it and riding out each gear to redline. I fucking slammed the doors, hit potholes without a care, took corners hard and slammed the brakes. Mainly I was testing its handling (it's quite poor), but also I hate Chevrolet and was still mad about my Mazda being murdered by that inconsiderate bitch on her cellphone.

TL;DR No, rental cars are always abused and poorly maintained. Think about - would you adopt a kid who had been abused before they came to you? Fuck no.

Don't really care for it myself, but there's only one electric car that interests me that I could afford and I'm not really sure it makes sense for me to get it.

The charging network isn't really all that built out where I live (Eastern Iowa), and the support situation isn't really ideal yet either.

I keep hoping somebody will make an electric car that doesn't look like ass, has reasonable range / fast charging, and drives decently for a reasonable cost. I don't really care about the luxury or the self driving of the Tesla but it seems like they're the only game in town for a real 100% electric driving setup.

Hey /o/, about to head over to clean my new (1996) car for the first time. This is my first time not taking it through an automatic wash. What is essential and what is snake oil? Do i really NEED a different cloth for wash, wax and dry? Recommend brands? Etcetera

Thanks!

red pill me on the electric car Jew

is it true that they are more damaging to the environment that regular cars?

I read in some other thread that 1 Tesla battery produces more co2 than driving a V8 for 8 years

if that's the case why are they presented as being more eco friendly?

Building a bunch of fancy new electric cars puts a lot more strain on the environment than you driving your old vehicle.
>>
>is it true that they are more damaging to the environment that regular cars?
Not really. All industrial processes are harmful to the environment in someway. Lithium mining isn't exactly the cleanest thing around, but neither is any other mining operation. All modern electronics are manufactured with rare minerals, and all cars are jam packed full of these.
The electricity you end up charging a Tesla with will likely be created by some coal or natural gas power plant unless you live near a nuke plant. So you're still heavily reliant on fossil fuels even though you're driving an electric.

The whole net input and output is what you'd have to look at, and calculating that is a pretty intensive task. Until batteries radically change and the entire power grid radically changes EVs won't really be the "green" machines that people want them to be. I couldn't rightfully say whether they're better or worse for the environment over all, at least right now. This issue is so heavily political that you can't really trust anyone.

>I read in some other thread that 1 Tesla battery produces more co2 than driving a V8 for 8 years
Its based on a Swedish study that had some questionable methodology. Popular Mechanics says is bogus, so take that for what its worth.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/hybrid-electric/news/a27039/tesla-battery-emissions-study-fake-news/

>if that's the case why are they presented as being more eco friendly?
If we're all being perfectly honest the whole appeal of eco friendly things was created by a marketing department, not anyone genuinely environmentally conscious. Its good PR, thats about it.
