What's the last thing you fixed/replaced/adjusted on your car?
>>17377981
Water pump on 3.9 v6, but converting to 5.9 v8 soon
acura
>changed oil like 3 months ago
ferd
>replaced most of the grounding system, got an amp installed and replaced the regulator.
>need to rejet for summer
yamaha
>replaced the windscreen with a puig one and put frame sliders on
This one time I put a fleshlight in the exhaust of my ford courier and reved the shit out of it.
It made a really loud queefing noise and the outside of it melted, still use it sometimes.
Who here has flown out to buy a car? How did it go?
Trying to figure out how good (or not) of an idea it is to fly to a car, then drive it some 10 hours back home.
I'm not sure why you would do that, unless the car is very hard to find and the cost of the plane ticket (and fuel) is less than the cost of delivery, or for some reason the car can't be delivered.
>>17377975
>not checking a car out for yourself before buying it
you could be getting a heap
>>17377975
>unless the car is very hard to find
Not very hard, but hard enough. There aren't many on the market. I was also able to get a pretty good price on this one.
>the cost of the plane ticket (and fuel) is less than the cost of delivery
Plane ticket is $350, so not bad compared to shipping the car. I also want to see the car in person before buying, and this way I don't need to wait for delivery either.
>I downshift instead of putting it in neutral when approaching stops
>>17377917
>I hold the clutch in while leaving the gear engaged as I approach stops
>>17377917
Why the fuck would you put it in neutral? Are americans really to retarded to drive manual or is this just bait?
install gentoo
How do I signal to automotive enthusiasts that I have zero interest in driving?
>>17377882
It sits between your index and ring finger m8
Lots of bumper stickers from seven 11
>>17377882
stance your car
was driving in the ghetto with my friend a little bit back
some guy came up to the car window and asked if we had a quarter
how was he gon jack us (we sped off after saying we didnt have one)
>>17377782
racism goes on >>>/b/
That was a polite carjacker.
Usually they don't ask nicely for a quarter before they jack the car.
That's great. Thanks for creating such a valuable and interesting thread.
What car is he driving?
Cars are on a spectrum
>>17377761
Bill Nye always drove old Buicks and Volvos in his show, one time even a Lincoln. But I have no idea what this is.
>>17377761
Ford Fairlane
Just got back from getting a haircut, as i was walking back to my car in the parking lot i noticed a group of 6 gangbangers towards end of the parking lot where i parked. I paid no attention and got in my car casually. As i look through my rearview i notice these faggots are literally picking up rocks and throwing em at cars in the distance, i wanted to call the cops and report them before i left but is that off limits on 911 call?
>>17377727
Use the non-emergency line.
are you retarded
Also post haircut
Im deciding between two cars
2016 Kia Optima LX (exactly as pictured)
or
2016 Camry LE
Which would be the better daily driver? Is the Camry really that reliable?
>>17377508
Both will be reliable for the first 4 years, After that the Toyota will be slightly more reliable. I'm assuming you get more shit for the dollar with the Kia so that would be the best DD.
>>17377508
Neither. What are you looking for? The Genesis 4 door is best.
>>17377508
Used Accord v6 ex-l
What makes you finally ditch it?
>>17377424
The better question is why are you posting pictures of horse dicks on a Christian image board, anon?
>>17377424
im fucking DISGUSTED
>>17377510
That's clearly just a hunk of metal that looks like a horse dick.
>fart can exhaust that sounds like a fat man with diarrhea
>"AH MAN, THAT SOUNDS SO SWEET BRO"
I don't get it, usually most straight pipe or loyd exhaust usually sound like shit, why do people think high pitched exhausts sound good?
>own a VW
>it's already a ricer magnet
>refuse to get "an exhaust" on it because then I'd be a stereotype on wheels
>everytime someone talks to me about my car they inevitably say "hey bro you should put an exhaust on that"/"dude have you thought about putting an exhaust on it bro"
I DONT WANT TO BE A STEREOTYPE STOP ASKING ME TO PUT A CATBACK ON MY SHITTY LITTLE HATCHBACK RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE
>>17377294
you have to buy well engineered exhaust systems, which are usually out of the price range of ricers.
>>17377318
>doing a catback
Honestly, just get a full exhaust done. A catback isn't going to do much for performance aside from changing the sound and maybe 2hp.
does anyone have that super modern lexus? don't have it in my folder for some reason
Sup. I'm writing a story, not knowledgeable about cars. Need to find a car for a character that:
> could be plausibly owned by an average person today
> can be used for racing
> is tough to drive
Coming to 4chan against my better judgement, since the best google can do is the Dodge Viper.
It should be a Viper, it fits your needs best. If it's set in Europe, a TVR would be better.
>>17377266
What do you define as tough to drive? No cars are really hard to drive unless you go back to the model T.
E36 M3-> Reasonable price, iconic/unique look, fast
>>17377266
Use a porsche, any 911 should be realistic. They like to bite back in the corners. They're not much more than a corvette and people argue about them almost as much. And it works in USA and Europe.
Hey all, it's me again in my last thread you all shit on my mustang V6 so with your opinions in mind no performance mods whatsoever
But can someone point me in the right direction to 2001 Ford Mustang body kits that are somewhat cheap and tasteful when I look at my bumper all I see is pic related
Pic also related my cars front bumper
No one cares about your V6 shitstang. Sell it and get something you wont regret buying
>>17377280
I can't not atleast for 2 years to make a long story short I've been trying to find a good car for 3 years for my 16th birthday my family got me a econobox and I just traded that in for the mustang and since it was their vehicle I had to go with their demands that it had to be a V6 hardtop and under 50k miles so this was the closest thing I could find so no I can't just sell it for something better my fathers name is on the title and therefore I can't sell it unless they agree to it which they definitely will not
TL:DR I got a econobox traded it in for mustang literally a week ago so it's a no go on selling it for something better
What the fuck went wrong? why don't they exist today
Most people remember them as "the people who made that shitty little 3 cylinder". You also had Suzuki and GM making almost identical vehicles which didn't help. I think the Geo Metro was one of the reasons Suzuki failed in north america.
>>17377230
It would be great to have a geo jimny and a geo huslter . Or a geo carry
>>17377230
Cheap shit sold to poor people with shit margins don't make for a good company. My dad bought one of these to commute in. The metro. It was a SHIT box. Loud, slow, uncomfortable, unreliable, cheap. The gas mileage was OKAY, but you had to romp on it everywhere to get up to speed which killed dem MPG's.
Nissan has the GT-R
Honda has the NSX
Toyota has the ???
Wtf is toyota doing they used to be cool in the 90's now they are just econobox and crossover sellers.
>>17377007
The Supra.
New Supra soon. Toyota competing in motorsports shows they still care. Hopefully it'll be more like a GT86 but with 400+ HP instead of a disgustingly overweight (3900lbs? How?) and overpriced benchracing machine like those cars.
