Hey guys, I need some advice here.
I recently got a Saab 9 5 2004 2.3T Aero, and Im loving it, great car for its price.
But unfortunately it has automatic transmission, and first of all, it kinda ruins the driving for me (its like having sex with a condom on, you feel much less of the car than with a manual), I really miss popping gears by myself, and also wouldnt have a problem with that (some people say about it not being comfortable in traffic etc - this doesnt concern me. The only plus side of an auto is that u can use you cellphone and drink stuff easier with one hand always available, but thats about it).
Also, the automatic transmission cucks the power, I mapped it for around 300 hp, 400 nm torque, and I can feel how the gearbox has troubles with transmitting this torque. Also many times when I want to accelerate fast, the stupid thing wont do it.
As for costs- I think Im gonna get most of it back via selling my auto gearbox, its in a really good condition, so its not that great of an issue. I also know people who would swap it for me. However, there is still some uncertainity in my head so here is my question - tl&dr is it worth to swapp automatic gearbox to manual for increased fun and better acceleration?
you are weird.
i only feel disconnected from a car when it has electric steering. or over-boosted, just as bad
>>17381700
I never drove that, but I imagine that must be horrible. Feeling disconnected is not the worst here, the worst is that I like to accelerate and I just know the gearbox is bottlenecking me hard
>>17381713
turning>acceleration
you dont need control to accelerate, when you are cornering thats when you need all the feedfback.
how can you drive at 9/10 of the cars limit with numb steering and shocks? i feel that manual transmission is vastly over rated in the whole sense of feel in a car. even a flappy paddle does the job just as well.
give me a car with good suspension, manual steering, a balanced weight and good brakes and i wont give a fuck if it has a 3 speed auto

there is a lack of photo of the americas. you are supposed to post them side by side

are there any hot german girls?
I have a 2009 Ford F150. I use it on a ranch. It makes a terrible noise when I don't have my seat belt on. How do I stop the chime? Is there some kind of code? Or a fuse I can remove to stop it?
Take a detached seatbelt buckle and put it in the clicky thing.
>>17381691
Yes, I wanted to avoid that though. Didn't know if there was a factory code to turn it off or something.
>get out of truck
>buckle seat belt
>get back in truck, sitting in front of buckled seatbelt
are you seriously dumb enough to not know about/think of this?
Is the RT really worth it?
>>17381534
>5.7L v8
>Traction for days due to wide tires and good weight balance
>Wide ass engine bay
>Big comfy interior
Literally /Amerifat/ in hee
>RT worth it?
>5.7l is weak as shit and will grenade with any mods that increase power
>only 70HP more than the V6 Challenger (lol)
>Slower than a V6 Camaro
You tell me if the RT is worth it.
>5.7L
>375HP
Is this smog-era America from the 1980s? A V6 Camaro literally has a better power-to-weight than the base V8 Challenger. A Mustang with a Ford Racing power pack (doesn't effect warranty) makes 472hp from 5.0L.
Who exactly is the target audience suppose to be for the i8?
people with more money the sense
Rich Chinese college students. Or so at least my classmate had one. He let me drive it, incredibly underwhelming

I think it has happened twice. Made a horrible sound.
First time I had a gear in, then released the clutch pedal, forgot to put the gear in neutral.
Second time I put the gear in and forgot to press the clutch first.
There seems to be a sound now when I'm driving in reverse and I have pressed down the clutch halfway. Kind of sounds like a little metal ring is loose or something.
Both times the car was standing still. I'm not talking about shifting gears without clutching the way I've read some truck drivers do, matching the revs and such, I'm talking about when you do it by mistake and there is a horrible sound.
>manual fags

>How bad is it to put in a gear without clutching by accident?
Not if you do it at the right revs and without a horrible crunching sound. Otherwise you will fuck the insides of the 'box like I fuck your mom.

>the most capable production vehicle money can buy is a bike
i'm sorry but, there isn't a car that can touch this thing. the panigale r already demolished the best hypercars in track tests, and this thing is even lighter and even more powerful.

Holy fuck America stop spending dollars on wars and invest in infrastructure.
PS: Now I know the reason why suvfags are so mainstream in that country.

When I was a kid I would sit at night in a long straight that had an unpainted / dirty speedbump eating chips, and would laugh my ass off at the retards going fast that literally created sparks on the impact with the ground.

Planning to buy Lotus Elise as my only car. How fucked am I?
My budget allows for two versions:
- 2005+ model 190hp
- 2010+ model 130hp
Which one to get?
>>17379858
Just ask yourself if you can afford 1/4 the car cost per year on repairs. If you can, get the 2010+ as the build quality improved dramatically at the end of last decade.
>>17379861
What repairs? Both versions have toyota engines and should be bulletproof.
So series 3 models have better build quality but still requires 1/4 of the car cost per year to maintain?
So that like around $40k? They're too tiny. Get a Porsche 911 instead. Might be able to find a 2000-2004 911 Turbo or a 2005-2006 base 911 in that budget.
I'm thinking about buying a Mustang, new, this weekend. Convince me in favor or against.
New 5.0 or go used for a 5.0. PP is harder to find but if you want it it's worth it. Not a dealbreaker not to have one though. S197 post-facelift GTs are the ones you want to buy used.
get the ecoboost
