I'm looking at some MR2's for sale and just stumbled on this clean one, the first thing I noticed though was the Black Ice meme freshener. Please reveal yourself, are all MR2 drivers from /o/?

/o/, help an electrically challenged anon: how would you wire up a horn button that bypasses the clock spring in the steering assembly? Can it be done by simply wiring in a momentary switch directly to the clock spring wires? One side to ground, one side to the junction box?
6 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>17360327
What are you trying to accomplish exactly?
Do you have any clue what the clock spring even does?
>>
>>17360387
I need to bypass the OEM steering assembly and utilize a horn button. The Clock Spring acts as the turn signal reset and as far as I know, acts as the conduit for the horn circuit. Like I said, I'm no electrical wiring expert by any measure and I turn wrenches when I can, but I've never done anything involving wiring, relays, the junction, etc. Before you go on an Aspergers tirade, any other ideas are appreciated.
>>
>>17360406
1. Look up alarm installs for your make model (thanks for providing that bythe way, makes it super easy to help you you fucking cunt)
2. determine if your horn is negative or positive switched
3. tap horn wire from #1 to momentary NO interrupt switch (a button you mong)
4. attach other end to either ground (-) or 12v (+) source based on #2

You've now bypassed the clock spring which has nothing to do with the turn signals and have a horribly inconvenient button to place in a less convenient location than the OEM steering wheel. as a bonus you didn't completely fucktard your steering wheel or chop up your wiring like the retarded celery stalk you are.

congratulations. ask your mom for a cookie.

>pic related, best handling FWD i ever owned, can be picked up for less than the cost of an xbox one/PS4 and lift off oversteer like a mad cunt.

When riding a motorcycle with a baseball hat, which way am I supposed to tuck it under the passenger seat strap? Crown of hat facing back of bike or facing my back? I know the downforce pushes it towards front of bike so I'm assuming you put the crown towards back

Sup /o/, got a real question for once.

I had some switchback led turn signals installed for a while and I had to install resistors to prevent hyperblinking. Now I've realized how dumb this was and switched back to normal turn signal bulbs, however the front blinker is no longer working. The bulb is good, it works when the car is locked or when the hazard lights are on, but when I use the turn signal I get hyperblinking from the mirror indicator and rear indicator and no activity from the front bulb.

The wire where the splice was removed is fairly chewed up, I'm thinking of cutting it and installing a but connector to try and repair the issue but figured I would check with you no-nothings first. Any thoughts?

Bump, anyone work with car electrics?
>>
>>17360121
If it's chewed you already know the problem. Wrap the loom to make sure you don't have any shorts in the future. Most of those aftermarket systems use cheap wiring that will prematurely wear the loom due to heat and physical contact
>>
>>17361101
Thanks m8, so cutting it and inserting a but connector will likely work as I'm hoping?

So I was working on my wheel bearing a while ago and ended up doing this to the axle. I guess I might have pulled on it or something but now the axle is too long for me to try and stick it into the hub. It's like I pulled whatever is in there apart. I'm trying to figure out how to get whatever is inside the boot to sit properly again so I can reassemble the car. Anybody have any input? It's the driver side axle.

This is the other end of the axle, how I'm assuming it should look.
>>
Pull the axle out, it clipped in place. Feel through the boot if the ball bearing came loose. If so, buy a new boot, it comes with grease, and just out it all back together. It's white easy.

Plenty of YouTube videos on it as well

You pulled the inner tripod joint out of the housing.

Just keep trying to push it back in it will go.
Don't hit on it or take it apart.

who here owns/has owned/has driven the isuzu vehiCROSS?
Less than five thousand produced in the US from '99 to '01. I got in one once at a car lot ten years ago and fell in love, didn't have the money then.
I love the way it looks, I can't explain it. Its futuristic looking and was way ahead of its time. One popped up for sale in my state and I once again am short on money what else is new.

Unfortunate engine failure issues. It could last 30k miles or 200k miles and you'd have no way of knowing.
I was looking into buying one for a while but they're getting a little too pricey to justify the lack of aftermarket and engine issues
