I have a 2003 350z touring edition with about 85k miles. It's been consuming oil since my stepdad bought it brand new all those years ago. Every thousand miles or so I have to top it off. Would an oil cooling system help this issue? I've been considering getting one since I'm moving to vegas in a couple months and I'm worried the 100+ degree heat will amplify this issue.
Nah it'll just make your oil capacity bigger. More shit to go wrong.
Cars by design use oil. You can minimise it by making the second number bigger. Say, if you're using a 5w30 go up to a 5w40.
High temperatures and that sorta mileage id stay well clear of a 5w30.

I'm using Mobile 1 10/30 synthetic. Should I do 10/40 next time?
>>17857729
Give it a hoon. The worst that can happen is nothing changes.
Have a look in the manual for expected consumption too.
Why do people get into road rage?
I work in a petrol station and see it quite a bit on the forecourt. There's also a lot of people with dashcams putting their road rage incident on youtube and I just wonder why people even get angry like that in the first place.
If someone forces me to brake/swerve or whatever I might beep my horn if that and carry on my way.
>>17857673
I don't even beep my horn.
I'll yell obscenities and give people the finger... But not very often. Usually just chill as fuck. It's a bit of a different story if I'm out of weed though
>>17857673
Angry, unsatisfied people who will take any opportune moment to vent are the majority of road rage offenders. Sometimes, though, some people break, and will choose to get upset at the times when it is most obvious, despite usually being good about hiding their feelings.
Other than that, low IQ turds who know no manners will simply do what >>17857681 is doing. More behaved people will curse to themselves without flipping others off, however.
I don't get this either.

>she always gets roadrage like mad and granny shifts

What would be the best guinea pig engine? Doesnt need to be a 'good' engine just need to be dirt cheap and have an aftermarket. Was thinking hyundais alpha engine since whole engines are between $1-200 on ebay so if i fuck it its no big deal but theres next to nothing aftermarket as far as the engine goes so what else is there? (Live in aus so junkyard v8s arnt really a thing here)

Does /o/ into car audio at all? After being terrified of trying anything electrical with my car, I finally decided to replace my poopy blown system in my car with a full Boston Acoustics upgrade per recommendation of my father in law. I guess I never realized that a lot of it is so plug and play, and am extremely excited to add a small sub (like pic related) sooner or later. Post pics of your set ups for inspiration!
Car audio can be fun, if you learn it
i had a small system in my old car, havent done up my new one yet because i want to figure out what the fuck is wrong with it mechanically first
i had a head unit, some okay door speakers put in, and two 10 inches in the trunk powered by a shitty amp i got for cheap
i want to do up my new car with a real nice one. it came with an aftermarket pioneer stereo, and i want to get some nice door speakers and tweeters put in, a sound processor and base blockers, and throw the box i have in the back with a new proper amp
ohhhh the dreams

Why hasn't Dodge updated this thing yet? Mustang is already on generation 3 and Camaro is already on generation 2 after this whole retro muscle thing came back. It's been almost 10 fucking years now! GET A MOVE ON!

Not OP but you're a faggot. How could anyone love that fat piece of shit? The styling is the only reason people are buying it, if they could FCA would churn the exact same thing out forever.

>E39 BMW 540i 6MT
Nervous about 15+ potential issues on a BMW but it is a timeless design and if I could find a 540i 6MT it is the closest thing to a budget M5
>S160 Lexus GS400/430
Lacks the driving feel and engagement of the BMW, makes it up it in comfort and build quality. The 430 does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and has a great exhaust note, good cruiser but not the sports car an E39 can be. Not many of the 400 or 430's for sale and in respectable shape. Auto only...
>G35 6MT sedan
Least favorite option but deserves a mention considering 2007-2008 sedan has VQ35HR which is a reliable, fun, N/A engine. Also would have the updated interior. I like them but they are cheaply built using a lot of Nissan parts. For the same amount of money a much newer G35 is to be had, which is important because the 03-04 had so many quirks and issues and the 05-06 6MT cars have the VQ35DE-Rev Up which is just a paperweight. DIY friendly
INB4: Lexus is just toyota, it is but Toyota is a much superior manufacturer than Nissan.
Which one would you buy for yourself using your own money and doing most maintenance yourself. Feel free to nominate something not here also.
>>17856816
used to have a gs400, good car but it handled like a boat, if you dont know how to fix things repair will cost a lot. also drove an g35 auto sedan, i think i had the sport package. handled better that the GS and felt modern but had that nissan quality interior and every middle age black woman in my city drives one. never driven a 540i but i would probably go with that one especially if it has the m sport package. its probably my favorite BMW in terms of looks and configuration.
>>17856816
Dude don't get the 540i, bmw V8's are fucked and I'm saying this as a lifelong bmw fan.
Get the G35 or get a manual 530i if you want a reliable bimmer that's still fun.
>>17856816
07-08 G35. Great cars if you can find one in stick-shift, and the 2007+ actually has a nice interior compared to the 03-06s.
The GS400/430 will drive like a barge with no steering feel
The 540i will bankrupt you in costs to own but will be the most enjoyable to drive. Look for a E39 530i 5MT or even a E46 330i if you're not going to race it.
Look into a IS350 too.
