>yes miatas can drive well in the snow (with four snow tires)
I am bored with my Miata guys. There are just too many compounding issues now that make me want to get rid of it.
>have to worry about rust
>have to worry about the paint
>have to have somewhere to park it indoors
>unsafe as fuck
>dont get any respect on the road

Gonna sell this piece of shit and get a 5 series like I should have in the first place.

Where and how much and what condition
>>17444516
It's located in Massachusetts. Probably 8/10 condition
What's the car culture like in your city, /o/?
Here in Melbourne, it's mostly either "riced" out Ford Falcons/Holden Commodores, or JDM cars everywhere.
Chicago used to have a decent tuner scene.
After they fucked up wacker, it kind of died down a bit. I think it's still around, but I don't know for sure. I try to stay out of the city.

Dutchfag here
no one likes modding cars. everyone drives tiny boring stock cars in bland colors.
>>17444103
Another Dutchfag (city of Eindhoven to be precise)
There's only 1 car meet in like 3 months
Mostly honda's, some bmw's, some golfs, old imprezas, miatas.
Tell me /o/, whats the matter with stepsides?
I mean ok, wow, the bed is flat on the inside but its so much narrower? Why the hell would anyone buy this? Whats the usefulness behind having a narrower bed???
none it's an anachronism from when cars and trucks had separate fenders
You can step on the side. The styling on the older Chevy stepsides just look so fucking good to me as well
>>17444015
Easier to make, especially in a time where panels were still shaped by hand.
>see an '04 impreza
>check plates
>it's a normal wrx with an sti badge on the front
Why do people do this? It's not like the badge makes you faster
>>17443975
Not sure, I really don't understand. I imagine it's the look that they're going for yet they don't want to pay the extra vape tax for the STi?
As the owner of an unmolested, stock 07 wrx seeing people do this irks me
>>17443975
Sooooo someone else modifying their car affects you how again?
Neither directly, nor indirectly. Stop being an elitist prick. Not everyone can afford a genuine STI, obviously he likes the look but does no actual racing, so now has the best of both worlds.
Also, girls don't give a flying fuck if it's an "actual" this or "actual" that. If it looks pretty, you're getting laid.
tldr; go fuck yourself

Ahahahahahah i showed a few of my female friends pictures of imprezas and they thought it looked weird and hideous
Cars that make you diamonds.
Post them.

I want Mechanophilles to leave.
My wife is telling me to buy a "BMW 3" to replace my 2008 Mustang GT because she's pregnant.
I showed her a 3 series and she's like no, it's the SUV one. Oh, the X3.
Should I get the BMW X3? Because I just moved into a new job which gives me 25% off on specific BMW models. The X3 seems like a good family hauler. Should I do it?
Do what Stacey and Mr shekelstiens are telling you. There's a reason he gives you discounts on (((certain))) models

The only reason people think mx5's look gay is because of American propaganda about small roadsters that were usually British or European and the mx5 being inspired by those designs.
>>17448409
And through that propaganda it actually became the real thing where it is actually owned by hairdressers and homos.
Propaganda or not, it's a car owned by hairdressers and homos now.
>>17448434
oddly enough I get frequent compliments on my car from both men and women (about 50/50 which is weird for cars, most are usually guys). I know nothing about hair (cutting it short makes it easy) and men are not attractive.
>>17448434
I'm OP and I have to agree with this.
American media particular in the 70's and 80's made out like manly men drove firebirds and ford torinos.
My brake rotors always seem to warp in the first year of use.
Should I get drilled and slotted ones?
What brand can take the abuse of a half ton chevy van?
Find out why your rotors are warping first. That really shouldn't be happening. Have you confirmed that they are warped?
>>17441390
well I get a lot of pulsing in the brake pedal . I just assume that they are warped. If I replace the rotors the pulsing stops for six months or so
Rotors don't warp. They become out of round after accumulating too much lateral runout. Try adjusting your brakes to factory spec anon.

So my POS Chrysler decided to spit out a spark plug again, this time fucking over the threads pretty badly. So basically I can't tighten a spark plug on my 4th cylinder and thus I don't have a working car. You guys know anything I could do to fix it DIY(as cheap as possible)? "Redo" the threads on the head or something? Fix the spark plug in with plastic cement?
I know the real answer to my problems would be getting a new car but can't. Need to fix this asap.
Picture sorta related, it's the block in question. I tried to demonstrate why you can't really swap out a single cylinder on a i4, when he asked why won't I just do that.
The highest temp epoxy you can find
On the threads liberally, but not excessive.
This is your last shot.
Go for it. Ghetto as fuck.
Good luck. I had a dr350 that the engine case was held with epoxy.
You may have some trouble with heat, but you'll have to chance it. There's no other option.
>>17451223
Fuck dude, that's sounds ghetto as shit. Would much rather chance out the head myself(not really doe). Found a spark plug thread repair tap and die type deal for 10 bucks at the local autozone type store. There's still some thread left in the hole.
>>17451223
this.
or use a thread chaser to try and 'massage' the threads back. or use a thread insert type system (e.g. helicoil) and try something like that.
I have a problem with a car I just bought months ago randomly without warning stalling when I come to a stop.
When I first got the car I had my sparkplugs changed, and the throttle body cleaned along with the throttle sensor but it stalls like once every week.
Usually I dont really know what to do and it wont start until I unhook the battery and rehook it and the car runs again. Yesterday was that time of the week and I tried something different. Instead I just held the gas for like a minute which got the car to start and run.
Im also too poor to get this properly diagnosed and fixed depending on what the issue is. My uncle thinks its the fuel pump, my mech friend thinks its an oxygen sensor.
Thoughts on what my best option is. I dont really have money for non crucial repairs.
Kinda sounds like a severe version of what was going on with my em1 civic. There was an evap system hose leaking. Whoever was working on it before me forgot to clamp all the hoses and then the hoses ended up being completely hard and shattered to the touch. If you have any CEL go from there. otherwise check all those vacuum connections. I've heard theres a hose going to cruise control that can cause this.
>>17450766
Does it have a rough idle when you come to the stop? Could be a vacuum line or idle air control valve.
Does it happen as you are coming to a stop
?
I'm guessing o2 sensor. Idle air is more of a works or it doesnt cuz it's too clogged up type of thing.
Could be tho.
Where will you be when Tesla goes out of business?
Same place I always am; at home being lonely and contemplating a fap
Tesla will probably continue to keep doing cool shit and others follow Musk's ideas.
Electric cars that weren't designed as electric cars from the start are shit.
This smacks of desperation.
Particularly suprising after the i3 and i8.
Is it possible to get 30mpg with a rear wheel drive car?
Yeah if it doesn't weigh anything
>>17450643
Why wouldn't it? Just get a fuel-efficient engine to put in.
Do it with my 88 samurai, small engine, small car, drive carefully
how do you go from this
