I have 2004 Eclipse that I really love. Should I invest money into it and fix it up a little, or buy a new car?
Define fix
>>17863493
It depends on overall condition of it, your budget and if money you're going to spend are worth it (for you, since you said you like it).
Are you going to "enjoy" it and then sell it on the long run or are you planning to sell it soon and mods are just to make it more appealing for buyers?
>>17863493
If you truly love the car and that goes for any car money should not be an issue.
>we just found a way to cheaply mass produce a substitute to petrol with virtually zero emissions
How would you react?
Neat glad I don't have to buy an electric car in 10 years.

>implying OILIX isnt already being held by the US govt secretly
Just came across this on Facebook
Is there a place in the world where driving a VW is considered hipster?
Only in 'merica.
>>17863469
that old forced meme... It is getting stale and tired after VW is getting better.
>>17863469
People who drive classic VW, such as Mk2 Golf or B3/B4 Passats are usually hipsters.
Comes in two Chasis, Sport and Cup.
4Control All wheel steering system.
Will come with a Manual and an EDC auto version
1.8-litre turbo engine producing 276bhp and 288lb ft
A 300 Horsepower Trophy version is Coming soon
Thoughts?
>manual option
At least they admit they fucked up with the Clio RS
incredible as always
I just got my driving permit and at some point ill be able to driving my parents old 1997 maxima, should I be bothered that its an automatic or no?

>>17863366
You should be bothered that you want a miata
>>17863379
anon its the cheapest rwd car out there thats pretty much the reason why I wanted also how nice I've heard it handles
>>17863366
learning to drive auto makes learning manual ezpz
Standard D series engine, wondering what kind of mods I can do, so far I've bought some seat covers and Honda seatbelt covers. I don't want to go to far and make it your standard rice Civic, does anyone else have suggestions?
change the oil. Put a quality intake on it because honda intake noise is great. Change your transmission fluid. Do bushings. Put classy wheels on it and maybe a slight lowering.
>>17863353
Replace all the fluids and any worn parts. Then, suspension, brakes and tyres. Key to going fast is stopping fast, so you can get on the power again sooner.
>>17863353
just keep it running and save up for a B18 or B20 swap or a K20/24 swap if it's a 7th gen. I wouldn't advise doing the swap yourself, just save up to pay a Honda shop to do it. But until then, just do basic maintenance and keep it stock.
Is it possible to install popup lights on a non popup AE86?
>>17863338
is it necessary?
>>17863338
Just buy a Trueno if you want a Trueno. Don't ruin a Levin with a botchjob.
>>17863338
Why? Popups are objectively inferior.
If you want memelights that badly, then just buy a damn Trueno.
>your car will run out of horsepower one day
>>17863320
That happened to me one sad night. All of a sudden the go pedal didn't go anymore, but I had enough momentum to make it over to the side of the road.
And I watched it, one last time, towed away to never-never land. RIP my best friend.

Is a GTST worth heading up to Canada to buy, /o/?
Why are their prices so low compared to their GTR brothers?
I know about the RWD, but are there any drawbacks on GTSTs that keep prices low, or do the GTRs just have legendary meme status and inflated pricetags to match?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-nissan-skyline-gt-r-6/
>>17863319
GTR has Godzilla tax and AWD tax.
GTST is 'lesser', so people don't want it.
>>17863319
Idk if it's worth the drive, you figure that out yourself.
But in terms of value, it's much better than a gtr.
>Rwd so it's significantly lighter
>Rb25's are bulletproof compared to the rb26
As in the term of actual value, it's not memed to hell like the GEE TEE ARU hence the lower prices

RIP Tesla
Can't wait for cars advertised with a "300" mile range that's actually half that
I think that it will more hit a market of Nissan LEAF and Mitsubishi i-MiEV than Model S. So Tesla is rather safe. Even if they sell less Model 3, there still is S & X

How much money per month will I spend on apex seals, oil, and ibuprofen if I get an rx8?
Seeing tons of these going for ~4k tempts me.
>>17863121
>money per month will I spend on apex seals
piston engine is for you
Meh. None if you take reasonable care of it and it's in good shape when you buy it.
You should still save for an LS swap.
>>17863121
/o/ isn't the place to ask. Most here wouldn't even know what an apex seal looks like without Googling it.
Let's get a thread going for the new stuff being revealed at IAA
First up is this thing from Honda. It's an EV, but just look at it. Production version in 2019 too.
