Why do people still run carbs?
>>17541124
Cheaper and simpler.
Cheap and unless you have direct injection, peak horsepower isn't that different.
The newer carburetors made these days are pretty amazing, gone are the days of shitty unreliable carbs that required experienced mechanics to adjust properly.

Where were you when Hyundai and Kia stepped up their game? By stepping up I meant, a giant leap.

In all seriousness, seems like a fun car, congrats
Post god-tier steering wheels.
Is this a joke?

I need a good woodgrain steering wheel under $200.
Either chrome or blue accents.

then hes an idiot
pull out your glock
i like to move over in the lane so he can see the guy in front of me
>its a "brotruck is tailgating and flashing highbeams at me despite the car 2 vehicles in front of me is slowing down the entire lane and he can clearly see that up on top of his 10ft tall self proclaimed throne but he's still throwing a spazfit" episode
Didn't see one in catalog, so let's post neat finds, I KNOW WHAT I GOTS, and ask for advice.

What do you think, /o/? Reasonable price or too high/low? What problems might an older 5 series have?

Too high senpai. That's like a $2k car in good condition.

Negotiate that price, yo.
ITT: people who drive badass daily drivers, haters need not apply. Post your rides and you plans. Rome wasent built in a day and neither are quality cars. I worked 2 years to get to this point.
My 360hp/410tq vinyl wraped srt4 on 19psi. 17k into it. The most reliable srt4 in the area. During winter I'm throwing a 50trim turbo on it and going for 800hp/970tq on 23psi

find a flaw
protip you cant
Too expensive for a bigger Passat
the only flaw is if VW keeps making half decent cars at a reasonable price theyre going to accidentally kill audi
Too expensive for FWD
Was looking for a used AWD car, because I'm tired of driving in extreme Canada winter in a FWD civic (not SI). Was looking at used impreza. The only other car I can think of is a Lancer. I don't really care about CVT, for or against. Everywhere I look it seems that subaru's AWD system is better.
I would get a WRX, but the prices in Canada are stupid for a decent new one.
awd fusion with the 2.0ecoboost
bigger car, nicer interior, no subaru tax

why not a new Impreza?
they're sub-$20k (in the states at least)

I've been trying to attach my new oil filter to my 2009 dodge charger for almost 2 hours and still can't get it. Fucking dammit what the fuck fucking help holy shit!!

Well my car started making a rustling sound and its gotten worse lately. Imagine an empty tuna can tied to a string trailing behind the car. Stops when the car is stopped. Any ideas /o/?

It's your Jimmy manifold malfunctioning.

Does it sound like this? If so you have your answer
>>17546164
Not quite.. les of a "truck" sound and more of a metallic friction, if you know what I mean. Also it goes away when the car is at a stop, so I think its not drivetrain related.
I'm new with cars. Educate me pls.
Situation:
- 20 Years old workaholic
- Former carpenter went to school for this as well (and was pretty good at it at the site but too dangerous)
- Now an interior designer (still finishing up on school)
- 20-25k saved up (can make more pretty quickly and I dont pay for rent)
- Family plans to open a renovating business in the near future
Specifics I need from most important to least
- Performance (something good for transporting materials to the site)
- Looks (for meeting clients as an interior designer or contract clients. Nothing fancy but I need something professional looking at least).
- Gas (I prefer not spending a LOT of money on gas)
(I find hummers/wranglers/mercedes-jeep) looks. But if you have better recommendations, im pretty open.
So what do you guys think? What do you recommend? Generally what do you guys think is best?
Oh and I also dont mind buying used cars (thats expected with the amount of cash as of this moment xD but lets say Ill budget around 20-35 Max. I don't need all the whistles in the cars.. Really just Performance and decent aesthetics
Excuse me if I sound cringey
Performance - yes it has some
Looks - yes the US army is a professional military
Gas - it's diesel, so uses none
Hi all, I was looking at getting a $12-$14k used GTI for my next car and then stumbled upon the Veloster Turbo. For the same price of a comparable GTI, I get something that is:
-A few years newer
-Looks better (in my opinion)
-Is more unique
-Is more reliable and cheaper to maintain.
-Has basically the same power output.
-Is still under factory warranty, in most cases.
-Has more interior bells and whistles.
Does anyone have one of these or have any experiences with them?
I think the veloster is much better. I see them quite often and dont hear anything bad. Not to mention they look sexy as hell and are pretty quick to boot. My friend owns one and he loves it. Hyundai is a good company.
