Amazing thread OP, you're totally not a falseflagging shitposter.
>shop stole the $10 I had in my little center console compartment
>left a full pack of cigarettes in the passenger seat
why the fuck do "professionals" think it's okay to steal from customers
>>17555134
>took $10
>left a $15 cigarette pack
>either smoke them or sell them to high school students for $2 each
Make a profit, OP.
maybe the guy has anthrophobia but loves to barter.

It was a single pack of marlboro golds. The expensive kind. I might give them to a hooker next time I pick one up
>not turning off both cars when you're jump starting a vehicle
It's like you morons want to get shocked
Duh
Dude I drive to work sometimes hoping I get tboned by two semis at the same fucking time from both sides.
>>17555114
there is really no wrong way to jump start another car as long as you get the + on the + and the - one the - or a ground
>>17555140
And - on last, off first
Give me one reason not to buy this /o/. It's a rebuilt autotragic but still this deal seems too good to pass up.

>>17554863
There are similar options you should consider
GTI-R
Focus RS
Lancer evo (only in 2015 unfortunately)
BMW 328i with x drive
Do DCTs require more maintience?
The clutch (or clutches) is still a wear item and sometimes the electronics break.
>>17554840
Yes. More complexity = more points of failure.
>>17554840
I don't know because I got the 5-speed manual, but I got this in the mail.
Best econobox.
Prove me wrong.

>costs 20-25k
Meanwhile you can get a clean reliable civic for 3k.
>>17554481
>no 2/3 door
Also like the Civic it has just gotten too big.
I have no idea how reliable AND durable they are.
If they are, they're probably decent.
who /bad luck with cars no matter what/ here
>>17554195
Me. Especially when I work on mine
>car starts fishtailing when I brake coming home from work
>jack car up at home, take brake drum off
>six million springs come flying out the second the drum comes off
>by then it's getting dark but I have work in the morning
>sit there for 3 fucking hours with a flashlight in my mouth fucking around with all those springs
>finally get it back together
>go to test brakes
>fucking air in the brake line
Ended up having it towed and payed out the ass for an uber. FUCK drum brakes
>>17554229
maybe people like us were destined to walk, ride the bus, or go broke from the upkeep of our cars anon
>>17554259
I ain't done yet. Not till it's totalled. Then it's on to the next one
How can ICE cucks compete???
Is this the era of electro vaporware now?
We done this a decade ago. You EV fags are just like PC fags on /v/ when you finally get an old Japanese game.

is it pussy to wear a dust mask and change air brake shoes? no one at the shop ever doesnand after changing a couple axels my inner nose is black as coal.
i dont see how people can rip on smoking a cig or two a day and then say that brake dust is harmless
>>17553478
Shit like this is why I stopped working as a mechanic. It seems like no one cares about the work will effect there long term health. Makes sense though, their peak job in life is fixing toys they will never be able to enjoy.
>>17553541
so this isnt pussy of me to think it gets in my lungs?
ill be honest i smoke a cig of an evening with some coffee but theres no way in hell a few puffs of smoke is more likely to cause problems than a half days worth of breathing brake shoe dust
maybe im wrong but it just seems backwards
So just wear a mask and do your job, who gives a fuck what the other people think.
There is currently a 1991 Jaguar XJ-S for sale in my area for $3,600.
According to the listing, fair paint, no dings, runs and drives but could use a tune up. 79,000 miles. V12 engine with autotragic (yeah I know). From what I understand, they're rare.
Should I go for it? I want to explore the possibility of swapping the GM autotragic slushbox for a manual transmission. The idea of having a V12 and a manual 5/6 speed transmission makes me hard, especially with the prospect of upgrading the engine.
>>17553335
If you buy it you WILL have to put every ounce of your being into it
>>17553358
I understand parts will probably be scarce and expensive, but elaborate please?
>>17553335
Isn't $3,600 very cheap in America for this car??
I don't think I could even find one in the UK for £3,600 that's drivable.
>>17553410
He means it will be breaking down a lot and require a lot of maintenance. Jaguars of this era are notorious.
I'd go take a look at it personally though even just to examine it for myself, this is one of the cars on my bucket list. A beautiful and silky smooth V12 grand tourer, aww yis
Hey /o/
I've decided I've have one too goddamn many serious conversations with god when driving on these shitty georgia highways in anything more than a light drizzle.
I love my Miata to death but Bubbles doesn't do as well in the rain as i'd like her to. My tires are pretty worn anyway, so im looking to get better ones. So who makes the best tires for rainy and wet conditions that'll fit?
Anyone?
Don't let Bubbles drive, what are you doing letting your dog drive your Miata anyway
>>17553311
jesus....i drove my rear wheel drive BMW and lexus with all season tires in wisconsin & chicago. as long as you know it will slide and you don't brake in the middle of a turn, you will be fine.
