Is Plasti dip a meme or a real thing?
Bought used original audi 90'' r16 rims. for use in winter, but i was thinking of maybe doing some restoration work on them, like sanding them, filling surfaces with dolphin glaze and priming them and then painting.
But today i somehow discovered that plasti dip, so im wondering maybe i should just use that instead of paint, how do these holdup? Anyone have experience with it?
I plastidipped the grill on my ford focus, it held up through two winters and an accident that destroyed my front bumper.
If you are planning on repairing and priming the wheels there is no point in chosing Plasti dip over paint. The point of plasti dip is that you can peel it off when you want to go back to your original finish. You are never going to wake up in the morning and say "I'm bored if having black wheels, I'd much prefer primer grey" and even if you did, you would be much faster scuffing up the paint on them and spraying a coat of primer. One thing nobody will tell you about Plasti dip is that it's an absolute motherfucker to get off any surface that's not completely flat

the reason i though about using plasti dip is because it seems to be much easier to apply than regular paint.
I have been looking for a r32 and I'm thinking about buying this one, is it a good deal

Happy 713 day fellow Houstonians. What are you driving today?
>>17528064
Virginian unfortunately. I'm seriously jealous of your complete lack of Winter and proximity to ocean.
>>17528064
Atleast fucking lower your window and take the pic.
>>17528268
Happy bitch?
What's /o/'s opinion on electric drivetrains, as used in plug in electric and hydrogen fuel cell cars? Pic unrelated.

/org/ are autistic bullies.
What should I buy if I have a budget of ~$15k and I want an off-road machine but there are no Suzuki Samurais in my area?
>>17527975
A Ferd dudge or chavy truck. Or look in a wider area and be willing to drive to get what you really want.
>>17527975
Any Toyota pickup. Middle eastern and African terrorists groups use them all the time, any they're out in the jungle and desert all day. If they're good enough for fighting wars, they're good enough for some recreation on the weekends.
Just buy a momjeep and take it starbucks on the weekends like 90% of org does.
Failing that, just kill yourself
Who lonely driver here?

do all those aerial acrobatics in motocross reduce lap times ?
i'm wondering if instead of spending all that time in the air, somebody said - hey let's just get a better lap time
>inb4 - i'm just a watcher not a rider
The sweet spot is somewhere in the middle. Landing earlier means you can accelerate sooner, but it's pointless having to brake just to avoid a jump. I think it works out to the best time if you try to take bumps and table jumps as smoothly as possible, i.e. by landing right on a downwards slope and not somewhere inbetween.
>>17527650
Yes. Whipping acts as an air brake, scrubbing keeps your height lower.
Any forwards or upwards energy you can absorb through rotation in the air (a sick whip, yo) keeps the bike lower/landing sooner where you can lay down more power.
Often the correct rythm rather than overall speed in a given moment is more of a difference maker, so the rider tweaks the bike in air to get back exactly where they want.
You guys ever wanna give up on the love of cars sometimes? When you seem you can't win? Being stuck with some miserable auto shit box never seeming to get further. Even trying to buy a bike to quench that thirst of speed or excitement then breaking your fucking foot so you can't drive bikes. Cant even make money to get a nicer car. Missing all the summer car events. Just want to rant. Fuck this gay earth.
ITS FUCKING OVER
ok
Whoops meant to post this on biz

interesting if true
Does anyone have advice for insuring multiple vehicles under one insurance plan? 06 DC5 Integra Type-S and a 88 CRX Si, in Colorado to a 26 y.o. male.
>CRX needs to be 32 years old for a collector's plate here
>Only 29 currently
DC5 is the daily. No tickets in the last 5 years. Best rate I can find for full coverage is 1100 / 6 months (183/month) and that's after discounts for owning a house. Brutal.
CRX is weekend AutoX/Track car. Only gets about 2000 miles a year. Gets out once a week maybe. Minimum insurance for $6/mo. Perfect.
I'm always hearing about cheap insurance on here. What do /o/?
not what you asked but i have multiple vehicles (shit box, jdm, motorcycles )and the cheapest insurance rates i've been able to get is through multiple plans because different companies have wildly varying policies to suit specific needs
>>17527368
Cool, tell me more?
>>17527458
um.. what do you want to know? i'm a leaf so anything really specific probably won't be of much use to you
maybe go to a broker?
