Is dis car gud?
I'm looking at a non-turbo version to buy in my area. I've heard bad things about Nissan's v6 engines...but isn't that most of their cars? I was just wondering if anyone had advice/tips/experience with these cars. Just looking for an affordable rwd coupe since I've only driven Hondas before.
get a 280z
>cheaper
>more aftermarket (or reproduction) parts
>easier to work on

sure if you like ugly old jap shit

I think 84 was the year the switched from the inline 6 the the v6 in that chassis. It took a couple of years to work the kinks out, but those are decent engines. It's not going to randomly blow on you. But it might have some problems seeing as it's like 30 years old.

Just bought this 2004 RX-8 for $7000. It's a 4 speed automatic with just over 100k on it. Did I get a good deal?

How fucked am I if I get a 2008 M6 with 80k miles? It's about $27k, so pricey, but dat V-10 is orgasmic
They are an awesome ride but pricey to feed and pricey to fix. If you can get a BMW shop to have a look to make sure it hasn't bin crashed and glued back together cheaply. They can also plug it in and see how badly its bin treated in the past.
You want that thing safe coz holy shit they are fast.

The maintenance costs for these cars are directly proportional to their new cost. It may end up a money pit
Hey /o/
I'm wondering if any of you know what particular OBD2 protocol to use with this particular pin layout?
It's for a 2007 skyline 250gt type v
If I take it to a nissan dealership I don't think they would be happy helping me out in this sense, by being able to look up fault codes and engine info myself i'm effectively taking away some of their business.
Any help is much appreciated.
soz for sideways pic
p'sure that it's universal worldwide. If you have an OBD2 reader, it'll read any OBD2 car. I've never had an issue with mine, it even reads VWs

Son, this is a SFW board
I don't see enough of these anymore. Cell phone spots. C'mon, show me something interesting.
...as it devolves into 'supercars' actually being driven...
I don't know what u r talking about.
There are plenty of good spots for a cell phone in my car. The cup holder, under the stereo. I know other older cars that have spots that seem made for cell phones too.
What's the best handling sedan I can get for $20K? Used ofc.

Either a BMW, or a Pontiac G8
Probably a BMW, maybe E46 ZHP or an E90 with the sport package/aftermarket suspension.

Just posted it.
>tfw they're ~350k now
By the time I can afford that, they'll be 500k.
I'll never have my childhood love.

GM really fucked up with the Z06. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the C7 Vette doesn't have any overheating problems or otherwise, it's just the Z06 model correct?

Cool, but not a single fag from this board won't be able to afford it anyway
Apart from god awful parts availability in the states, is there any reason to not get a late model decommissioned police, V8 Chevy Caprice?
what parts do you refer to?
Lots of parts interchangeability with G8s.
>>13635411
Whichever one breaks and that is unique to that model.
OK, I tired of driving European cars all my life, so I want to make a change and get something reliable at last. What are the most reliable cars not older than 15 years and under 4k$ I can get in US?
Don't care about clean titles, MPG, or body style. I just need something that will live only on gas and oil changes for quite a while.

Ranger or S10 are good bets aside from some engine configurations
Any panther.
Anything chevy with a 4cyl thats pre-200ish.
Anything toyota, any year.
How early is too early to install winter tires?
This'll be my first winter living somewhere it snows, and nightly lows have gotten close to the limits of all-seasons, but the highs are still in the 70s. It usually doesn't snow here until around Halloween supposedly, so I have time but the tires are new so I want to break them in.
>>13632828
yes, it's probably too soon for winters
instead of fretting over when you should have them put on, buy a set of cheap shitty wheels on criagslist and put some decent tires on those
then you can put them on/take them off whenever you like
Put them on when the average weekly temperature is 7 Celsius (40F) or below. Any higher and you're just going to put unnecessary wear on them.
>>13632828
Winter tires work best at 35Fish and below.
I live in Chicago and I dont slap mine on till like early December. Last year I got lazy and didnt swap out my summer tires till like 2 weeks into snowfall. I have a good AWD system, so I managed to do well.
