What's the most affordable 1980s/early 1990s two-door or three-door car available with somewhat decent reliability (and availability of dpare parts) and popup headlights?
I want to drive something that looks vaguely like what Dagumi drives around in (because I'm a faget) but I don't want to pay out the nose for a real AE86 or spend thousands tracking down obscure spare parts.

Why does it matter if superchargers sap some of the engine's power if they allow it to output much more than before? I don't understand why parasitic power draw is a downside, when the output power is much higher.

Looks cool
Torque is better than hp, 0-60 is better than top speed
As cheap as possible
Thought about junkyard lotus or something and throwing an LS in it
Dream car involves rear engined TT v12 but that probably isnt too likely
Unless it looks as good as a lotus or better, cant be 2 seats
Thinking about buying a friends g35 with 135 miles on it for between 7500 and 9000 and throwing something other than the vq 35 in it, not sure though
Any ideas? Trying to keep it as cheap as possible
