People actually pay money for snake gas?
>>13869807
Nitrogen in a DD is the snake oil equivalent for cars. Does absolutely nothing.
>>13869823
I thought things like these were. Nitrogen is snake GAS
I thought it was supposed to stop your tire pressure from going down as much from the temperature
I was thinking about doing it just because Costco will do it for free if you're a customer
Saw this POS today while waiting for the pleb bus. I like honda civics but the distasteful mods on used ones ruin them.

what's the cheapest car that has 2 doors, good looks, manual gearbox, RWD, lightweight body, 200+hp, decent aftermarket, and an LSD?
Miata with an ls swap. Just takes an afternoon to do it and costs about 500

I need help. I changed the front brakes of a 2012 honda civic, but when I got to the back I got confused. Do i need to remove the cover and will the caliper, c-clamps, and pads be underneath there? Thanks
>>13869550
That's a drum brake.
They have shoes, not pads. And cylinders, not callipers.

Hey aut/o/ists, taking a trip to Portland in my newly acquired 850 Turbo for fun and parts. I need new parts plus used scrapyard parts and was curious if anyone knew of any places like IPD or of volvo specific scrapyards in Oregon, or just your favorite auto part stores so i can go beg for stickers.
Also General Volvo/SAAB thread, post your fall/winter holiday drive plans
OP here. I need a lot of parts; this is just a partial list/general synopsis of stuff i can't easily get shipped cheaply to where i live. Also i'm coming from CA so anything along the 101 or I-5 is game.
>inb4 even Medford?
Badly need: (mostly IPD stuff i reckon)
*URO brand dipstick tube
*turbo bpv diaphragm
*grill clips
*OEM oil filters
*crush washers for oil and trans sump plug bolts
*rear brake clips
Would be nice:
*OE luggage rack
*underbody fuel line housing
*Fiberglass headlight support
*passenger side door spring assembly
*two cheap nice tires (like yokohamas from a scrapyard lel)
*new clips for oil/atf cooler lines
*bumper grill inserts
*cool AF stickers
*cheap shock/strut set? (found a killer deal on amazon and i don't think i'll beat it, but hey)
I was just about to start a thread myself. I still can't figure out what the issue is with my parking brake. I have I narrowed down to the cable or the actuator but either way it doesn't explain why it won't let the brake retract all the way. As for electrics, my high beams don't work (don't know why) and the central locking doesn't work (although whenever I push down on the driver's lock they all move a little and the relays click). The rust is concerning too. On a more positive note I finally reattached the shift boot after destroying my fingers for an hour. So worth it though
>>13869933
Those are pretty obscure things but I'd reckon ipd has the grill clips, oil filters, brake parts, and depending on your idea of cheap, struts.

Judging by the last thread, it appears there's close to 20 of us here.
Interest seemed high, so now we have to work on the logistics and agree on when and where.

My car has never had a distinct scent. I got this to truly blank the canvas. I sprayed about two or three seconds instead of one like the box said...now what air freshener do I get tomorrow to give my car a scent?
>inb4 FRESH
>inb4 op cant inb4
>>13869450
Vanilla
>>13869461
They didn't have scented Ozium at
vatozone
and I am now pissed. Not even the gel canister Ozium. Pissed me off.
>>13869472
Vanilla Ozium is great compared to original blue. They have a few different flavors that smell good.
I don't really like the original scent because I get flashbacks to freshman year of college and smoking bongs in the dorm room. Any time I smell that odd blue Ozium, I feel like I am in those shitty dorms again.
Anyway the little Febreze gel vent clips work well for the car. There is another gel one that is a little bigger and round and those smell good too. The round one is also adjustable. The gel ones just seem to last the longest without being crazy strong at first or fading out after 3 days.
Yankee Candle also makes decent car fresheners if you want to explore your inner 50 year old woman.
How safe is LPG? It's cheap as fuck but I don't want to risk my life to save a few cents per liter.
Assume an accident happens with an LPG where there's a direct hit on the tank, will it explode?
>>13869293
How safe is LPG?
>Used by most taxis.
>Same insurance rates as petrol
>where there's a direct hit on the tank, will it explode?
It depends how hard and sharp the object that hits it is. I one saw a 45kg cylinder fall off a truck and go sliding 50 feet across the road then bounce 2 feet in the air over a curb. It didn't leak.
>>13869360
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far I'm aware petrol and diesel only catches fire but doesn't blow.
80 liters of compressed gas however gives me different ideas.
>>13869396
Diesel doesn't really catch fire unless its in a quite high temperature
Gasoline explodes

THE BOYS
Diagnosis time! Because fuck me, I might be in over my head here.
So, a few days ago I started having an interesting new problem with my clutch: that being on occasion, when I press the clutch pedal down it won't come back up/re-engage unless I dig under it with my foot and bring it back up manually. I've checked to make sure it wasn't leaking/low on fluid, which it isn't. Haven't checked the clutch master cylinder yet, but that's definitely next on my list. It has gotten air in the system before, but that was because I was a retard and didn't top it up, but all the air was bled out of the system ages ago, and the problem caused from that was completely different.
Honestly, I'm pretty retarded when it comes to transmission/drivetrain issues, so if any of you guys have any educated guesswork, I'm all ears. My gut feeling says there might be air in the system again, but nothing should be causing that, and the problem is different from the last time that happened.
>>13869089
what car?
my miata did similar shit when the slave cylinder went, lost all pressure in the clutch when it fully went too
>>13869109
Might be related then, it's a. '86 RX-7, using the N/A transmission.
The odd thing is that even when it happens, there isn't really any clutch slip that I've noticed. Like there's maybe 2cm of travel between "fully engaged" and "fully disengaged".
>>13869089
Replace the slave cylinder
Have you praised the new god machine?

I have used ducttape inbetween the hatch and the plastic piece that the plate-light attaches to with the purpose of it stopping vibration and wearing out the paint
3/5 of my hood scoop's plastic studs sheared, so it's held on by the middle and farthest left studs and duct tape hidden under it on the right side. The right side pops out a bit every time I shut my hood
