Ascari FGT, because it looks like a mid engined FD
Alright /o/. I bought this '86 RX7 for a measly $1000, and I've been DDing it for the past 5 years. Ask me anything.
how often do you have to replace some parts? I'm not saying planned maintenance, but "Ohh fuck, whats that noise?" sudden shit.
NA or turbo?
Mpg?
Relability issues?
Always thought this was really the good one. Prettiest rx7 IMO.
>>13878460
About five months after buying it, there was a slight vibration that started to pop up at 80km/h and up. This got worse and worse over time, and after finally inspecting it, I found out that the u-joint on the driveshaft was half sheared, somehow. So that was a good "jesus christ I was actually driving this" moment. Apart from that, I've had to replace a battery, an alternator, and the light switch on the dash.
>>13878461
NA
I get around 250/300km from a full tank depending on my lead foot, 14 gallon tank. You do the math.
Only reliability issues were when the alternator went, and the occasional time when it floods, but that solves itself just by cranking it with the accelerator pressed down.
Why terrorist like Toyota?

What else would they drive? Cheap, reliable, durable, it's everything a terrorist could want

I'm looking for a certain picture /o/
Can someone please show me a picture of a tacho that revs to at least 10 grand, with the needle around redline
pic related, closest I could find but its not very clear and isn't recving very high
Just make a vector from it and make it look like it's revving as high as you want

>>13878268
Will try this, thanks
Does anyone else feel an indescribable amount of shame when they fuck up on the road? Was coming home from work today and was making a right on red. Nobody was to the left or oncoming, and when I went to make the turn there was suddenly a truck coming at me laying on the horn. Was my fault, didn't check every lane or something, but it seriously came out of fucking nowhere. Felt like shit about it all night.
I know how that feels.
I try to meet with friends or do something at home so I can forget about it.
>>13878208
when i fuck up i just do something fully sikk to redeem myself.
On my way home, I dumped my gas all the way down to the ground with my traction control off at 30mph.
The whole ass end kicked out and I'm driving an 18 foot long car.
It sure did feel pretty cool though. But it scared the shit out of me.
If there hadn't been a cop sitting behind the local highschool I would have done my hectic skidz back there. But noooooo.

I got yelled at for idling in my work truck in the middle of winter so I could use the heater. And they had a v8 truck.
I feel like the guy was too much of a pushover.
I would have sat there reving the engine and staring at the cunt.
If she tried to talk over it the horn would have entered the picture as well.
I don't play well with morons.
200% flummoxed

Is there ANY DUCKING CAR THAT'S CHEAP AND ISN'T FWD
>>13877374
Late 90's - early 2000's Subarus are pretty cheap, and not too hard to find with a manual. Past 1996 none of them are FWD

Everyone just wants a pre built performance car with the performance drive train that will make more performance easier because working with a car is too hard and it's a waste of money and blah blah blah

The butthurt is real
You can really tell who learned how to drive skillfully in a fwd car compared to a rwd one
Rwd is a crutch

I was looking at buying a Outback, because I always liked the look of them, heard they are fun to drive, but I am worried about reliability and insurance premiums any suggestions /o/?
My buddy recently got rid of his 2000 Outback, thing was a fucking tank. Over 230k miles.
>>13876897
Why are you worried about insurance premiums on a 12 year old NA wagon? I've got a 2005 turbo Outback and even with an accident on my record and being a male under 25 with no wife and no dependents I pay a whole lotta nothing for my insurance.
I will tell you though that they're not fun to drive. Not sure who told you this, but the NA Outbacks are very slow, very heavy, and the brakes feel spongy as a spent cock. Now if you do a decent amount of softroading or snow/ice driving then they're fun, but on tarmac it handles the way you'd expect a raised, heavy wagon built for offroad comfort would handle. It rolls and wallows through corners and doesn't give you the kind of confidence you'd need to push it harder.
Can confirm tank-status though. 200k+ on mine with original turbo.
they last forever, until they don't.
head gaskets break, then it goes to hell from there.
friend has one at 230k miles, couples broken head gaskets, catalytic converters broken. he's going to get a new one.
honestly, though I can't stand that you have take off the exhaust to change the spark plugs. I know it's just my autism, but that just really irritates me.

you'd have to either steal one or get one given to you.
there are finance options for cars if you can't afford it at this moment

Alternatively there is always the Seinfeld apporoach. A car that smells so bad that not even an Indian would take it for free.
