Given the same displacement, cam, compression, ignition and injection timing, bearing sizes, oiling, valve configuration, rod:sroke ratio, which engine is more fuel efficient in terms of mpg: oversquare(big bore) or undersquare(long stroke)?
Advantages of oversquare:
>less piston ring frictional losses
>less sidewall thrust
>less windage losses
>smaller valvetrain with less friction losses
Advantages of undersquare engines:
>more torque thanks to longer crank arm leverage
>less heat transfer into piston = more energy transfer into crankshaft
>less crankshaft bearing friction
There's arguments for either side. Which one would be best?
Also, less heat transfer into the piston would mean you could possible bump up compression ratio up a fraction of a point on an undersquare engine. Would this change anything?

Aligning your wheels is a meme. It's just a scam to get more of your money. All you really have to do is basically use a protractor to measure the wheel angle. If it's not 0ยบ then just use a hammer to put it back in place. It's not that hard.

Does anyone know anything about sporting/high performance brakes?
If not could you provide some websites? i'm doing a research project and am struggling to find what I am looking for.
I need to find some materials used, identify the differences between normal and high performance systems, what causes them to become insufficient/ fail.
All I need is some sites that don't make me want to smash my head off the walls.I don't want it done for me as it beats the point.

well for one, most high performance brake rotors have holes in them to dissipate heat quicker
the calipers and pads are a lot bigger than a normal brake system for more gripping power against the rotor to stop the car
most of the time when people upgrade your brakes they also upgrade the lines to braided brake lines because they do not expand under pressure, which gives the pedal a firmer feel
you can even go as far as upgrading the master cylinder which i dont see done a lot but its an option

Not my morning but just about an hour ago i was making a left turn at an intersection and added too much gas and the rear end came out and I corrected just in time so that I didnt hit a truck sitting at the stop light. It was actually pretty funny and Im still fucking laughing about it.

Just got my plate today. Can officially drive without worries. Had to set the idle, lubed the chain, and now im going to drill a hole to move the light controls closer to my grip. Muffler has a hole, so they will have to go.
