My MR2 makes this weird click or (spark arcing sound?) when you push the throttle in the engine bay (by the TPS). Anyone know what it could be coming from?
It sounds louder when warm. Its just one click like a few seconds after you push the throttle.

What's the fastest you've gone on public roads?
The speed limit, anything higher is idiotic. If you want to drive fast go to the track.
>>13888710
I bet you only have sex in the bathhouse, because the men's room isn't a designated gangbang area.
Right, queer?
fastest that i know i have gone is pic related, im generally not looking at my speedo otherwise.

The SRT-10 Competition Coupe was the GTS-R's production version.

Because it's faster around the track. Set 13 lap records

I found a picture of the GTR transmission.
Hey /o/
My car started making the rattling noise under the hood and my mechanic just said sell it and buy a new car.
If someone knocked on your door and asked you to sell you a car you rarely drive would you consider it? My local CL is complete shit and full of literal niggers but I've seen some of what I want in my neighborhood, should I walk up and ask the owner?
Sorry if this is retarded, I have mega-autism
Did he tell you what was wrong with it?
>>13888388
You might have a dropped valve or something similar, either way if the rattling is inside the engine it's a matter of time before it turns into a bomb
>>13888429
no i just mean if someone asked you if you'd sell it and to take a look at it just from knocking on your door, is that acceptable, would i bring money?
So, is there anything on Forza horizon 2 being ported to PC or TDU3? all i want is a free roaming car simulator to get my fix to ease my no-car pain, TDU1 was pretty good, although i hated hawaii, and TDU2 fucked physics so bad they are FUBAR, Horizon 2 seems to be exactly what i want in terms of freeroaming, car list, customization, and etc. But its Xbox one exclusive and its 30 FPS locked. Is there any good new for people like me? Or should i just try to kill myself?
I love Forza due to it's easygoing nature and ability to race street cars, and a shitton of street cars. PC games are unfortunately too focused on shit like LMP cars to be any fun in my eyes.
I think the key is that Forza was/is like the only racing game that wasn't a sim and wasn't an autistic OMG NOS rampage like Need for Speed.
But since Forza is one of Microsoft's crown jewels of the XBone, they won't ever let it go, like how Sony will never let go of Gran Turismo.
>>13888285
I get it, but all of the actual PC simulators are, with no exception, about racetracks. Nothing that allows for freeroam. Forza is as close as it gets to be both a freeroamer and a pretty good sim.
>>13888285
Isn't there any chance that microsofts makes Forza Win 10 market-exclusive?
Hey guys, I don't know a lot about cars, but I am kinda interested in this Honda. It seems comparable to a Subaru Crosstrek, and for my needs i think it could be good. Just curious if its something you all would recommend. I currently drive a Honda Civic, and the reliability with it is incredible, so I'm overall happy with Honda as a manufacturer.
>>13888207
Why the fuck do people drive shit like this this type of car is a dime a dozen. Not even. Literally a dozen a dozen. Or actually maybe a bakers dozen a dozen. Holy shit every car on the road are these ugly pigfat fuck shit cars
Get a life and a better car you sheeperson

We all know that with ABS it prevents your wheels from locking up under hard braking.
Why is it on a car without ABS when hitting the brakes too hard causes the steering wheel to lock up?
That's your brain that is locking up not the steering wheel.
>>13888165
It doesn't? It just has little to no effect.
>>13888165
The brakes locking up dont change the steering at all lol, you just lose all of the grip from your tyres so you are no longer able to go in the direction that you want to go in.

Sadly my 2003 4L 4x4 Ranger that I bought used at 116K miles needs a new clutch kit, slave, and flywheel. My clutch started feeling really soft about a week ago where the clutch pedal was hitting the floor. I'm going to sparingly drive it when I absolutely need to since I have no alternative vehicle.
Anyways, the shop quoted me at $1,900 after tax which is ridiculous. I'm going to call other shops around the area for a better price. I bought the truck back in April for $4,200 so $2k is not worth it. My options are to get it fixed, which I'm hoping I can do for under $1k, or sell it locally and purchase a new/CPO truck (probably a diesel Chevy Silverado).
The cheapest short term option is to get it repaired, but I'm not sure if that's the best option long term. I originally bought the Ranger because it is known as a reliably daily driver. So far I've had to replace the fuel pump assembly and now I have to replace the clutch. As much as I am against financing a vehicle, which I would have to do if I bought new/CPO, the long term reliability (~10 years) is more important to me in terms of cost to benefit.
Other problems that the mechanic identified were that it needs a new parking brake cable (parking brake doesn't work), half shaft CV assembly, differential pinion seal, and possibly a new wheel bearing (there's a "waw waw waw" noise coming out of one of the right wheels).
.... I don't think the clutch should be that expensive to fix
Do as much work yourself as you can.

That shop is dicks.
You could do it yourself and add a bunch of cool tools to your garage for 1/4 that.
s4 b7 2007 to buy or not to buy /o/ ?
I need a fun to drive DD somewhat reliable, AWD is a must.
I am aware of the infamous timing chain failure, is it as bad as it seems ? 3-4k$ repair ?
Anything else I must know ?
It only has 25,000 miles and the seller is asking 15k$
>>13888014
The infamous timing chain failure is a myth. people just saw it and theorized it would be trouble. I owned a 2005 for 9 trouble free years and spent lots of time on Audi forums.

Anything is a Miata killer. Even the toyobaru is faster around a track than it.
>>13887881
I'm just saying in the sense of sport convertibles
they better not get retarded with the MSRP
even with a turbo engine there's no reason it should be $1-1.5k more than the equivalent MX-5
As the title states
06 ninja 650 oil pump chain slack... How much is too much?
Just looking for second opinions.
pic one of two
There is almost a 1/4 inch of movement here.
The gears are almost 5 inch cc
This chain probably has and inch of travel in the center. Seems a little much? Impossible to check for certain. The clutch basket is in the way. It only comes off with the pump gear. Does that explain the slack? Also worth mentioning no adjustment is mentioned anywhere in the service manual.
Im having a hard time finding a forum to answer this. Ran fine. Title said it had 40000 kms on it.
Eh, it's probably not too bad. If you ever are doing work like this again, check it and see if it has gotten any worse. If so, you might have a problem.
Ask a FD owner anything
>>13887762
What car do you actually own
How much is a decent FD worth and would you keep the rotary if you wanted more power or swap? Also I've heard that heat is a problem is that true?
Did you fall for the ls meme or do you have the mental faculties to maintain the dorito
