have you ever accidentally fallen into a street race?
i just did tonight
>driving to night class for drafting
>still kinda stoned from a couple hours earlier
>get to stop light
>Acura RSX pulls up to me
>a couple swagfags inside with the windows down
>only thing i knew about it was the RCR review
>light turns green
>long stretch of empty road ahead
>start driving normally
>RSX does a fly by
>no pipe is visible in the back
>hear the iconic ricer buzz
>red suspension bits
>realize these guys are ricers
>decide to fuck around with them
>drop into 3rd and floor it past them
>they start flooring it when i get right next to them
>look down at speedo a few seconds after they start catching up
>already going 100mph
>look at speedo 10 seconds or so later
>110mph
>they finally get past me
>already expected that because we both have the same weight and he has at least 12hp more than me stock
>traffic coming up
>start downshifting about 700ft prior so i don't wear the fuck out of my brakes
>RSX still flying and almost hits somebody doing the speed limit in the middle of the road as i start downshifting
>see brake lights come on as he gets to the traffic and i dont evwen have my foot on the brake pedal
>didn't care if i lost as it was a fun experience

hey guys, i'm from the philippines and i'm getting my first car soon as a gift for graduating college. i'm getting something around the price range of a subcompact car. my dad wants to get me the new Yaris or Vios because of reasons. he's okay with a Honda City too. Thing is, I want the Mazda2 but my dad doesn't like Mazda because he says parts are hard to come by here and that the service sucks. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the matter? I'm considering buying myself a cheap Manual '92 Maxima, I've read that they're reliable and relatively quick/easy to make quick. It also seems like they have a pretty decent community surrounding them. I'm looking for a DD that can go fast enough, not a racecar. Opinions? Am I retarded? Is there anything else quick, cheap, reliable, and able to get gas mileage in the 20+'s?

they're only 2800lbs, easy to find in manual, 200hp
You can swap in the VIAS system and cams from a 2000-2001 for an extra 20hp
Not even kidding, tha'ts all they changed from the VQ30DE and the VQ30DE-K, as far as i'm aware
Never expect MPG's from a Nissan V6 though.
NEVER except mpg's from a nissan v6...
