>go to major dealership for first time for a 2010 VW CC
>test drive it, actually want it
>credit score 700 range
>salesperson tells me that bank won't approve a loan for a older car with high mileage
>literally got approved 30 minutes before arrival with my bank
>tell them I've already been approved by my bank
>"anon I suggest getting a new car. The APR will be cheaper and so will your insurance"
>2017 Nissan Altima for double the price of the VW CC (26k)
>tell them that I am not interested in spending double of my budget
>"anon you should get the Altima but we will try the CC with approving you"
>45 minutes later
>"anon I'm sorry but the bank won't approve the CC too many miles blah blah blah but that Altima you are approved for and rebates and new car blah blah etc."
>the CC has 75k miles
>last car was financed at 99k miles
>realized that they're rusing me to get a new car
>leave in frustration
What the fuck? Did they realize that they missed out on a sale by trying to get me in a new car?
Is this what all major dealerships do?
Dodged a bullet, a 7 year old VW will give you nothing but headaches.
>>17669072
Why the fuck are you financing a 7 year old VW?
>>17669072
A lot of times the salesmen are forced to sell certain cars by the managers. As in 'who cares what the customer wants, make him drive xy model and push inventory'. Could also be that his payment plan for used cars sucks and he doesnt make any money so he has to sell new.
Alternatively he was just a bro trying to save you from a vw cc
Has anyone of you ever did a dyno run after installing some mods on there Miata? I have an 1.6 NA and I will install my new 4-2-1 racing headers this week. I want to install an CAI and maybe catless pipe later. Any experience with his combination /o/?

Why are Americans so fucking good at naming their vehicles?
>Pontiac Fire-Bird
>Mustang Cobra
>Mustang MACH 1
>Dodge Viper
>Dodge Hellcat
>Dodge Challenger
>Ram Runner
>Ford Raptor
>C-O-R-V-E-T-T-E
Holy shit
Because American companies were always very good at marketing. Also, aggressive cars tend to have aggressive names that sound cool
>>17681062
chevy LUV
>>17681087
I agree, this American passion for aggressive designs and cool names is something I truly appreciate about the country.
How does this deal look /o/?
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/6253159749.html
I've heard nothing but good things about the SC300/400s, and the seller said he was willing to negotiate the price. I'm not turned off by the body because my buddy dips cars and he owes me a favor. Also CL thread I guess.

Got a new clutch installed a few hours ago. I did maybe 3 pulls to redline and shifted 1st to 2nd quite hard. I haven't followed break in procedure for the clutch. Did i fuck my shit up?
>>17683126
>I haven't followed break in procedure for the clutch. Did i fuck my shit up?
Hopefully.
Depends, is it an exedy like your pic or is it an "extreme" clutch? Did you yell "It's Extreme!" While you dumped it?
Enjoy your glazing, I guess.
Does /o/ like classic cars?
>>17683113
How old is classic?
>>17683113
Much more than 98% of all modern cars, yes.
>>17683113
Ford and Mopar muscle and pony cars from 1967-1971 are literally the only vehicles I like.
>What is the best racing series and why is it Super GT?
V8 supercars is actually really good since they introduced the control chassis - they don't handle like massive buckets of shit anymore.
>>17683000
But do they have flags?
>>17683000
Nice trips
Hey /o/ what should I get for my first car
Test drove and deciding between:
Ferrari F12 (rwd)
Lamborghini Aventador (unpractical even tho awd)
Mercedes GT R (harsh ride and rwd)
GT3RS (bad seats and rwd)
Audi R8 (good dd but kinda boring)
Pagani Huayra (would be cool but honestly much for a first car and impractical)
Halp
Some kind of weird Dodge Stratus or a Model T with a body kit
Read the sticky, buy a corolla.

LS fags are stupid enough to do it
If your car isn't based on a space frame, it's garbage. Post your space frame/tube frame chassis cars here.

More. Space dan uu[u
So pretty much any unibody car? I'm not following. Even this noodly pos is technically a space frame.
Hi , I'm about to trade in my MB e350 2014 4matic for either outback 2018 touring 3.6 or 4Runner limited
I liked both Rides and want to keep it for more than 10 years
MB was an impulse buy but worried of future maintaince .
For the outback I'm only need to add $11,000
For the limited $23,000
Is it really worth what would you do in my sitauation. Can't decide please help
>>17682520
You're gonna trade in a perfectly good mercedes and 11k for a fucking subaru outback?
>>17682520
If you are dyke, then trade it for the dykemobile
>>17682520
You can put that $11k towards maintenance for like the next 20 years. Just don't be an idiot and keep on on maintenance and don't let things get bad before fixing them
Just bought a 1989 Colt 4g63t swap for about $1000, how'd I do br/o/'s?
Driving vids now.
>>17682410
worth if it runs imo
>>17682410
I think it'd be cooler if it were a sedan. The hatchback is swapped all the time. :/
I just bought a Porsche to daily.
Am I a madman?
No. You're just another boring guy that bought a Porsche and thinks he's special.
If you can maintain it, no.
I believe old porsches are meant to be raped and modified.
