What kind of mechanism do you propose? The only one I can think of that works with suspension is a cable (like many parking brakes), cables stretch, hydraulics can transmit a lot of force very consistently, and are easy to maintain.

• A new rating to gauge a vehicle's use of nine advanced technologies such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. That's significant for the automotive industry because it could prod manufacturers to turn often-optional but highly profitable safety systems into standard technology. It could also increase the average price tag of a new vehicle.
• New advanced test dummies with improved sensors to better predict injuries.
• A new frontal oblique crash test to address what NHTSA described as a type of angled crash "that continues to result in deaths and serious injuries despite seat-belt use, air bags and crash-worthy structures of late-model vehicles."
>Currently, NHTSA ranks cars simply based on crash-worthiness. Five stars is a perfect rating. The new system will retain an overall score, based on three sub-ratings: pedestrian safety, crash worthiness and crash-avoidance systems.
>Regulators have not yet determined how much weight they will assign each category when determining the overall score. One thing they've settled on is allowing half-star ratings.
Looks like auto makers are going to have to find new ways to shill higher trims soon.

Recently, when I start my car, generally when it's kinda cold outside, it does this (what's in the webm)
Revs drop super low, it makes this awful noise, and when I rev it, it drops to near 0 before slowly and really unresponsively climbing back up to 1k.
Is this just cause of the cold? Is there any way to remedy this? Could it be anything else? Any help is appreciated, thank you

/o/, just how does one go about negotiating over a new car? I will gladly admit that at no point in my life have I had to negotiate beyond merely asking for a toy in return for some chores that I already did. I guess it's just strange for me to imagine saying fuck you LPG, knock off two thousand.
Basically, I guess what I want to know is

you can haggle anything. Generally, the longer a car has been sitting on the lot, the more money off the dealer will be willing to give. Generally they will NEVER take a loss though. It does happen sometimes, but it's rare.
I went and looked at a truck. They were asking $28,000 for it. I left with the truck and paid $18,000.
Aggression won't get you far. What will get you far is acting/threatening/etc to take your money to another dealership. They want your money until they realize you are an incompetent moron trying to get an impossible deal. Don't be that moron. Expect a good deal, don't expect a free car.
