Wtf do you want?
Muh GTR?
>classic
As classic as a jew in israel

Seriously hope you're talking about some Kei car like a Alto, Cappaccino, AZ-1, or Beat, other wise you done diddly goofed.

God forbid you want a real classic like a hakosuka or GASP Toyota 2k, in which case return to the greentext and the bit beneath it

I'm actually looking at an R30.
I'm really really wondering if buying a 4 door is going to make me happy. I'm almost to the point of taking either that or a R31.

I am however interested in bringing an AZ-1 over. Or a Eunos.
But since the R32 has gotten so much light, all skylines have gained in price. Except for 4 door R30s.
Which still have turbos.

Is there anything I need to know about working on newer cars (2005 or newer)? Like, would it fuck up the computers if I replace the air filter or or alternator or some shit?

I've only worked on early 90s cars.

Just to give you an idea:
You can't change a tire yourself, cause the tire pressure sensor needs to be calibrated with proprietary software.

how?

Because that guardrail is further away than the car. Think before posting!

Help me with my hair brained scheme! I've always wanted a classic car, but I need to replace my DD sometime soon (fucking Northstar engine), but I should really look for a family car. So which of these roles should I fill? Yes. I want a classic car that seats six that I can use as a daily driver. Budget: $10,500 including parts and repairs to get it up to scratch.

Asking my wife what she thinks, she says "Just shut the fuck up, and buy a used Corolla." We'll show HER, /o/!

Suggestions?

>>

Find a Newport Wagon for maximum practicality. Hell, any bench seat C Body can easily fill the family car role. And you can get a clean Fury for around 3000. That also guarantees you a big block and a comfy suspension.

Revolutionary steel treatment paves the way for radically lighter, stronger, cheaper cars. Flash Bainite is stronger than titanium by weight, and ductile enough to be pressed into shape while cold without thinning or cracking. It's now being tested by three of the world's five largest car manufacturers, who are finding they can produce thinner structural car components that are between 30-50 percent lighter and cheaper than the steel they've been using, while maintaining the same performance is crash tests.

Generally, when you choose steel you're trading off between strength and ductility. The hardest steels are the martensitic types, but their crystalline structure makes them brittle and prone to cracking when you press or bend them, so they need to be hot pressed. Flash Bainite breaks this rule by delivering a specific strength some 7 percent higher than martensitic steel but staying remarkably bendable to the point where it can be cold pressed into shapes. The quick heating and cooling stages produce a unique mix of fine martensite, bainite and carbides.

In July 2011, US Army tests called it "an extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly process" and concluded that "the costs to produce Flash Bainite should be extremely reasonable and could enable widespread use for applications requiring very high strength and adequate elongation, ductility, and toughness. Current opportunities for flash bainite include armor and vehicle applications requiring ultra-high strength steels for high specific strength, weight reduction, and high cycle fatigue enhancement."

Hey br/o/s. I was originally looking at getting a an s13 240sx or an Acura Integra or something because "muh race car", but I've decided to put aside the thought of building a track car (for now) and get something to lug my friends and girlfriend around on road trips and camping trips and whatnot. I currently have a 2015 Honda CBR300R motorcycle that I daily drive, besides that I have a WeThePeople BMX because I'm a poorfag. My plan is to sell my Motorcycle and buy a 1988 Chevy Suburban. I like the look of the '73 - '91 models and I like that old school look they have. My questions are pretty much, are: what common problems do they have, is it easy to drop a V8 engine of some sort in, or are there any other trucks/ SUV's with the same kinda style for under $5,000?

my father had an 86 suburban all stock. rebuilt it once in the 90's it was reliable through 2015. 4 barrel 350 started first time every time. got 14 MPG too. too bad he sold it for chump change to buy a duramax diesel

you can pretty much chop and swap anything out of those trucks and fit it to another without too many issues as long as you stick to auto and carbed

my 1985 truck had a 350 originally and i swapped a 454 from a 1973 basically plug and play other than exhaust work

i would recommend looking into a parts truck as well, i bought a 86 longbox with a blown motor for 300bucks and so far ive taken the window regulators, the pedals, the tilt column, all the windows, bumpers and bodypanels, and every little plastic clip needed in the interior.
totally worth it.

The Chinese are coming.
Google rival set to rival Google's autonomous cars
Having followed Google's lead into smartglasses development, Baidu is now doing so with autonomous cars. The Chinese search firm says it has successfully tested a fully autonomous car under mixed road conditions, claiming it's the first in China to have done so.

Good, they needed some way to control their population.

The Chinese can copy hardware (barely) but they can't aren't smart enough to program. They will make whole bunch of these cars and they will drive around running cunts over and killing little kids and shit, which probably isn't that big of an issue in China but it will never work anywhere else

$15,000.

What do you buy? I know nothing about the quality of each make, so I'm trying to learn what not to buy. I find something and someone tells me that make breaks once a year or costs an entire ass to repair.

Spend 5k on a used Japanese car. Camry works. Save the 10k for your goddamn future, or something else besides 4 wheels and seats. Happy holidays.

When in doubt, really nice low mileage example of cars off of the sticky. Also, don't necessarily go by make, go by model.

What are you talking about? If you have HID headlights you don't have anything other than the HID lights to use. Unless you want him to turn on his high beams. You do realize incorrectly aimed halogen lights are pretty much just as blinding, right? Or it could be illegal lighting in the first place.
>>
This is one of the only things I hate about lifted trucks.
I don't mind the light racks and extra bulbs, most people don't run them when they aren't wheeling- but the 6 inch+ lift makes the headlights shine right into my mirrors.
