Junkyardbrod here,
Thought you guys might appreciate this. Customer comes in and tries to steal some shit. Made him pay $200 for the unauthorized removal of tools and took pictures of his license plates and car for the cops should he ever come back.
How's everyone else doing?
>pic related
The fag also double parks in front of the shop
nigs gonna nig
>>14022867
You let him off easy.
Around here theifs get the cops called and go to jail.
Good on you for making him pay though.
>>14022881
>>14022878
I just show them the video of them stealing with their faces visible. Sending them to jail usually means they come back to funk with your shit at night.
Plus I have a shit ton of catalytic converters I'm about to sell and I don't need some nigs making life difficult.
Having a debate with my friend, he is saying that with two cars with equal horsepower an awd will have a better launch than rwd. Is he right?
RWD-biased AWD > RWD > FWD-biased AWD
better launch, better off roading, better on snow and dirt/gravel tracks, pretty much the only awd advantages
So why is it that all drag cars are rwd? Is it weight conservation?
How do these handle at highway speeds?

like a brick in a vagina
Better than their leaf sprung predecessors.
take the final drive, the last gear ratio, and the tire size and calculate the rpm for yourself on one of the many websites online.
I recently lent my kid brother my truck to get to his new job until he has the cash to get a car of his own. A couple days ago he told me that pic related happened to the truck. We've done the estimate and he's agreed to pay for most of the damages (with a token amount from me because of his future car because I want him out of my truck asap and because he's my brother)
My question is how did this happen? There's a few days window that this could have happened and he swears nothing happened to it while he was in it, so it probably happened at his job or while doing errands/christmas shopping/etc. I'm not so sure. I mainly want to know for future reference. I may want to ask him again later to see him sweat.
Are there any anons with experience in body work that has seen this sort of thing, and maybe has heard the typical stories on how this sort of damage happened?
That's the last of the pictures I'd taken. There's quite a few work vans and other pickups where he works so I guess it's possible. It just seems really convenient.
So why don't you own an electric vehicle?
>>14022682
but i do
(On mobile, so I don't know how to link to your comment. Pardon my ignorance)
I shall add, why DO you own one? I am equally interested.

Hey o
I want to buy a f20-22 swapped car as my next project. Who sells the best pre-swapped cars I can work on (perferably an mx-5)?
>project car
>pre-swapped
>>14022806
I don't have the equipment or manpower to do a swap in
>>14022823
then its not even a project
youre just being a cvck
Hey /o/, just started tuning with ethanol blends and holy shit. The power is real. Anyone else running ethanol or a blend?
>e30
Tfw ethanol has a lower combusting energy than gasoline. you're a fucking idiot
no, I prefer my rubber to remain uncracked
>>14022536
Yeah but you can turn the boost way up because it doesn't detonate as easy.
Is the 3v 4.6 Mustang GT a car for c.ucks?
mustangs in general are
yeap
the most cvck Mustang that isnt a Foxbody
mustangs in general are
Doesn't mean they're bad though.
I got a ticket at 4:36 am apparently, for parking like this in my driveway. It was raining yesterday so it's barely legible, the only thing the swine wrote in ink is the court date. Can I appeal this bullshit?? Is the way I parked a fucking crime??
Looks like you're on the sidewalk senpai, if not your car is on the roadway.
>>14022453
That's not the sidewalk that's part of the driveway. On the roadway, even as so, if only back is protruding, that's illegal?
>>14022449
maybe you shouldn't park like a nigger
To crush your enemies,
See them driven before you,
And to hear the lamentations of their women

S/o I'm giving ya speech on forced induction for a speech class to a bunch of normies. Heres the kick, I can't use a PowerPoint.
What do?
Nothing funny since without a Powerpoint you can't insert photos of alternators to see who notices.
i guess just make blowoff valve noises or something

PSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
this is your car on drugs
Use a picture folder as a presentation and talk about the pictures shown
So what is the top amount of BHP and torque that an average person (not counting seniors and women) may want in their car?
What is the sensible amount for everyday driving, with the ability to have some fun now and then, not slowing down traffic, getting up to good spead on on-ramps, not going to extreme revs at highway speeds and being able to overtake a semi on an uphill highway while fully loaded?
At what point do BHP/Torque figures become just dickwaving/over-the-top and gas-guzzling?
I realize a lot of it comes down to gearing as well, especially my highway cruise RPM question, but for the sake of argument, lets keep it about the engines.
>>14022292
>average person (not counting seniors and women)
it's not an average if you exclude 75% of the population
If you have ~150 HP per ton, you won't ever feel limited in everyday driving, but you're also in no danger of losing control.
>>14022292
'bout 350
for commuting, probably around 200hp with a good torque curve
other than that, nothing less than 6 gorillion

Don't you scrape when going into parking lots and such? Can't imagine getting into the petrol station where I'm from. Speed bumps look dangerous too...
>>14022181
Airbags.
>>14022188
Ah okay. Does anyone use hydraulics anymore or is that just for making them bounce?
How much do airbags cost? And can you use the compressor to fill a tire after you patch a flat in a pinch?
I now own a garage tall enough.
Is it worth it though?
>>14022129
depends, are you going to use it?
>>14022129
Get a four post. Don't cheap out. Ask around at your local mechanics, see what they use, ask any issues they've had.
>>14022136
I'd like to get up under a lot of cars if you get what I mean ;)
>>14022138
I've been watching a lot of Tom's Turbo Garage, and his garage is so clean and has a sexy lift in it. He uses a 2 post, wonder if it's really worth it to drop on a 4 post.
My heaviest vehicle is an Impala SS.
